Excellent pastry. Proof of this is the large, absolutely crowded tearoom. Perfect coffee at a more than reasonable price for German-speaking Switzerland.

No matter what level, the coffee hall in Solothurn is simply a 10 out of 10 in every respect. Service and all the food are top notch and with their specialty, sandwiches, they leave the competition far behind. Really recommended.

Food and service are good to very good. For me, the ambience is the key point here. The coffee hall is very reminiscent of a hall. On Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. the background noise is very high. However, I would like to highlight the service. No matter how busy it is, the service is on point.

If you love Düssess, you should definitely visit the coffee hall.

Went for coffee with my daughter, great atmosphere, various sandwiches, cakes, sweet sandwiches. Simply worth a visit.

It was quiet, service came 3 times in 5 minutes, even though we repeated several times that we still had to check. We ordered the drinks first because we wanted to order another piece of cake, we had to go to the front and see what kind of cake there was. Meanwhile service had already ordered our drinks and came again for the 2nd order? Service seemed very impatient even though there were almost no customers in the store. It's a shame because the location is great and the atmosphere is very quiet.

Very nice confectionery with a terrace in the middle of the old town of Solothurn. Enormously large selection for every sweet tooth. The sweets are presented very professionally. Fine vermicelles. The .Bummler breakfast is extremely rich and delicious. Price/performance is right. Nice personel. Easily accessible. Highly recommended.

When I sit down, I always get my bowl...As a long-time regular guest (that's how I can describe myself), this service is significant... The service was really disappointing. The place was crowded, and even though I ordered takeout, I wasn't allowed to sit at a free table when one became available. Instead I had to order extra coffee and wait 10 minutes even though my takeaway coffee was already ready 10 minutes ago. There was a lack of flexibility and friendliness. I liked the food, but the service was unbearable. Never again!

It's just a coffee hall: coffee is good, the cake selection is top notch and the employees are motivated and very friendly. I like to be there.

Bad service, after a while we placed the order and then it took another 30 minutes until my order came and they said there were no more triangle strawberry cakes even though there were 3, obviously after 30 minutes. I won't need it in the future.

Service more than bad. An older couple next to us even got up and left because no service came for so long. No greeting when you come, no goodbye when you leave. It's a shame for the birthday we started there.

The selection of canapés is brilliant. Tasteful, super tasty! Service could be more attentive. We sat outside, so the ambience is very simple. Will come back and highly recommend it!

As a long-time customer, I was speechless today! This morning I was there and ordered a sausage cheese salad garnished. While eating I noticed a 5-6mm cockroach in the plate that wasn't particularly appetizing. When I complained to the chef that I no longer had any appetite and was speechless, he said that can happen and smiled a little, and finally said that my Rivella was on the house, but because I had to pay for the salad because I had already eaten so much, (which is true much?) So I refused and after discussions I still didn't have to pay for the salad. Instead of apologizing and maybe asking for a fresh salad, plate, etc. No, he still had to discuss with the guests.🤦🏽Sorry but that's how I see the whole situation, the main thing is paying, paying, paying, excuses, discussions simply catastrophic, unprofessional and counterproductive. Of course the chef will also read my text and will deny it anyway. In my opinion, this chef, boss whatever he is, was not a single percent polite and guest-oriented, so to say if you don't like it, that's where the door is!!! I was with him specifically and personally so that the other guests didn't notice this, but he didn't see it either, he was in his element as a boss. I really hope that you will make a little more effort in the future and, above all, pay more attention to the food, which is not exactly the cheapest. In my opinion, service should also involve a little more smiles and occasionally look at the plate, at least so that you know what you are bringing to the customers.

Be sure to try the delicious strawberry cake! Simply fantastic! Special mention... The very tasty canapes in all variations!! You almost feel like you're in a gourmet paradise here... They also have the best shrimp rolls!!

Coffee and cake were fine. A bit too much cream in the strawberry tart, but that's just a matter of taste. There may be a lack of staff - in any case we had to wait quite a long time for service and the woman seemed quite stressed. But she made every effort to accommodate all guests' requests.

Long waiting times. Food mediocre and carelessly prepared.

Unfortunately, the croissants are no longer the same. Something has changed. A pity.

The sandwiches are always worth a visit. I don't know of any store with such a large selection and not of this quality.

Arrived at 4:40 p.m. on a Saturday, thought I'd have a coffee after a day in the old town, arrived and noticed how all the desserts and cakes had been cleared away from the counter an hour before closing time... Well, I should have done it sooner can come half as wild. I took a seat and waited for service for the next 35 minutes. I asked three times and was always put off with "my colleague is coming soon". In the end, the one who put me off three times still came. Of course, the cake I wanted wasn't available after half an eternity - then I just order a coffee and wait another 10-15 minutes for a drink. Finally the waitress comes, gives me the coffee and asks me to pay straight away because they're closing in 10 minutes... I'm definitely not setting foot in here again.

Place with good heating, in the center of Solothurn.

On my first visit I had the “Apfelchüechli” with vanilla sauce. And these were fantastic. Despite the full house, the service was friendly and calm. The coffee exudes a tea room atmosphere.

We have been coming to the coffee hall for a very long time. My granddaughter loves the fries. Today, 2.10 francs was charged for a 2 dl children's syrup. Of course the glass has to be washed, etc. In the future I will look for places where children can also get 1/2 portion of fries.

It's a shame the coffee hall is actually a nice place with fine food. However, not child-friendly at all, there isn't even a changing table and that in 2022! There is an urgent need to work on a new strategy. The staff also needs to catch up; friendliness is probably not a priority.

I received a carelessly prepared lunch today! It looked thrown together, was cold and served on a plate with a dirty rim! Unfortunately I didn't notice anything about the plate at first... I didn't finish it because it tasted the way it looked!! I think it's a shame, because I actually go to the coffee hall regularly and enjoy being there... a tradition, so to speak. Well I hope it was a one-off although I think that lately the price-performance ratio is no longer quite right! I reported it to service... I don't know whether it got to the boss, who wasn't there, hence this review. Best regards

Simply the best sandwiches since my childhood...

I ordered pumpkin soup in the coffee hall today. This was very tasty, but I couldn't finish it all. When the waitress was clearing the dishes, she commented that I hadn't finished the soup. At the end there was the saying: "The eyes were bigger than the appetite." Such comments are neither hospitable nor contemporary.

We tried different canapes. Mediocre in taste and all extremely majolastic. Small canapes at a very high price and very simply garnished. However, they appear to be freshly prepared as they have a sufficiently high throughput which could explain the lack of garnish.

Had another bad experience today, I was looking forward to a warm lunch, the waitress told me if I wanted to eat something warm it would take 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, since I couldn't wait that long I ordered sandwiches, even that took 20 minutes and I saw that the bread was cut unevenly. Which has never happened there before.

It's been a while since we've been to the coffee hall again. The “beleite Brötli” are still great and still super fresh. The toast is also always fresh and homemade. What we noticed, however, was that the bread rolls were smaller in size, but the toast was much thicker and sometimes cut unevenly. Here you should go back to the old dimensions and reduce the pane thickness a little. This simply gives a better mouthfeel. But one can also say that the surface has not decreased. Otherwise, please maintain the quality, we will always be happy to come back. Annotation: We think the price is reasonable.

Pretty old. There is hardly any space to turn the stroller around, furniture has been placed everywhere where possible. The toilet space is also blocked when the doors of the individual toilets are open. No space to put the stroller here either. The baby has to wait outside in the car😅 Someone in a wheelchair would have a problem here. The coffee was good though. The baked goods are rather overpriced. The staff weren't that happy either, you could clearly see that...

Unfortunately it wasn't tasty today and I waited 45 minutes for the lunch menu. I was used to something different here...

Located in Solothurn's old town, excellent overall impression: top service, delicate selection. And even the toilet facility is exceptionally clean.

After a long time, I dared to go to the coffee hall in Solothurn again. I actually wanted to boycott the store, but gave them another chance - in vain! The patisserie is very enjoyable, which cannot be said about the service. Completely overwhelming (perhaps due to a lack of staff), peppered with a pinch of unfriendliness... Chance lost - I was there last time
