Kaffeepur was my favorite roastery for a long time. Unfortunately, I now realize that many varieties are roasted too dark for me. Otherwise: - Only cash payment in store. - I always felt a bit semi-welcome when shopping in the store. + Fair prices. + Fast delivery when ordering online, never had any problems.

The largest selection of dark roast coffee I've seen in a long time. It's really bad coffee. I thought Stoll was dark and bad enough, but, meh.

Note: ONLY CASH payments This is a lovely and small business, and I have always felt welcomed by the two coffee connoisseurs that own/work there. The ‘Cafe O Muerte’ is my favourite. The only (but big, in my opinion) con, is that you can only pay with cash. In this day and age, this is a deterrent.

It's a dream. I am a self-confessed Robusta junkie. I came across the ROBUSTA GIAVA by chance. Just exactly what I've been looking for forever. The first two kilos were picked up in a very short time and reordered straight away. Brilliant quality and sensational taste... Love it!!!

The quality of the coffee beans is really great👍, and the service is also very good. I have repurchased it many times. You can only pay in cash here and do not accept credit cards. I think it is really good and I want to support the cash consumption concept of the store.

Great coffee with a varied selection. However only 3 stars since: 1) I recently got into espresso making at home and since I’m a novice, I need help with picking the beans. I know a bit about roast level and acidity/bitterness but given there are NO tasting notes for any of the beans being sold either online or in the shop, it makes it very difficult to decide on which beans to buy. I tried asking for recommendations a few times but the salespersons behind the counter didn’t seem to know much if anything about the beans and couldn’t even tell me which ones were high or low on acidity. This can be easily fixed by adding tasting notes to descriptions, which majority of speciality roasters do. When I asked about roast level I was told all beans were a medium roast, which is fine but no information about whether they were roasted for espresso or filter. 2) No card payments accepted. I mean, come on, it’s 2023.

Awesome service! great variety of beans, and without you guy', we would not have made it through being stuck at home. At least now we have your fresh beans tokeept our caffeine addictions going :)

Exciting and worth seeing exhibition for the whole family.

A place that has to tell you to be friendly cannot be a friendly one. Unless you believe people are genuinely not friendly. Ordered a coffee and asked about the grade of toasting. I got the reply "you can read there". More words than dark, medium, light. Of course the information was not "there". Never again.

Very friendly place with my personally favorite coffee. Environmental friendly bonus: you can bring your own containers and pay by weight.

We visited this store yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the behavior of one of the two saleswomen. No greeting, almost complete ignorance and the absolute opposite of the customer-friendly demeanor. I have never experienced a saleswoman not greeting me back when I left. We think it's a shame because we really like the selection of coffee types and the idea behind the roastery. We would like to continue to support a smaller local roastery, but you can also expect nice service when you visit. On the other hand, we would like to highlight the advice from the other nice employee (brown, curly hair, red blouse) who saved the situation a little.

Super Service. I tried the coffee in the ZH ice cream shop and then ordered it in the evening (Whit Monday). The delivery had already arrived this Tuesday. Apparently this was brought personally! Above-average service and delicious coffee. Great address for all coffee lovers!

Good coffee, interesting side products

After I bought a portafilter machine after 10 years of using Nespresso, the question of the right coffee quickly arose. I had to accept a few failures until I found what I was looking for at Kaffeepur - and how! I like my espresso strong, the spoon should basically be in it and thanks to the great advice on site, I'm now trying out a wide variety of different types. Black Power and Calabria are a force, to be continued ;-)

I was impressed with my first visit there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had a take-out cappuccino, which was excellent. They also sell a great variety of beans and coffee equipment on the high end side. They definitely know their business. Note that the place is cash only for take-out coffee!

This morning I ran a Buna Harari, which I had ordered for the second time, through my Isomac. Roasted shortly before shipping, it made me overjoyed that morning. I will try other varieties. I would like to thank you very much for this great product. Keep it up!

Pure coffee is the bomb! Very friendly people. They know where to talk about, have a huge choice of coffee and the coffee tastes great. You can't get this quality/price performance anywhere else.

Incredibly honestly good coffee. They hit exactly the happy medium between the slightly toasty north and the dark south. In other words: they are at the same height as the Alps! ps: just try out all the blends, it's fun and expands your personal panorama

I was already a big fan of Kaffeepur's coffees, but was once really disappointed when over-roasted beans were not replaced endlessly free of charge. Since I found out that new management has taken over the roasting company since then, I gave them a second chance and I have to say the roasting is really brilliant.

The coffee is fantastic but beware the coffee nerd behind the shop counter. Dude just wants you to buy something quickly and then leave fast. Was there the first time and asked for some suggestions. This question seemed to irretate the shop owner, how can you not know all his coffee beans. Then I did the next mistake and dared to ask for a quick test espresso before buying a package, the answer was "I don't have time for that". Either you know your beans, then you will be quite happy there, for all others: there are friendlier alternatives in Zurich Update: see the owners reply below for a little preview what to expect; "quod errat demonstrandum" it pretty much demonstrates the attitude

My favourite coffee roaster in Zürich. They also brew an amazing coffee in the shop. The owners and shop clerks definitely know a lot about their business and know how to prepare it. The perfect place to get the beans matching your taste and brewing method. I strongly recommend that you pay them a visit.

Best coffee in town! I've already tried a few roasters in and around Zurich, but I always come back to the great blends and single origins from Kaffeepur. The small shop with its always attentive and friendly staff is always worth a visit (and a coffee).

The coffees are good to great, but when even the smallest problem arises you realize that customer service is unheard of. Emails are generally not answered at all, and if you are lucky and do get an answer, they are just worthless promises. Very weak.

De Kafi strong and mixed floral rich in the range - like the funny, extremely knowledgeable, lovely people there.

Can I give 16 stars? Fantastic coffee. Make sure to not only buy good coffee, but also have some made by the owner, it's probably the best coffee I've ever had!
