The view is gorgeous and the food and coffee are very good. However, the service oscillates between deplorable and bad, depending on who’s at the counter. Cleanliness is mediocre and they’re “exceptionally closed” more often than they're open.

I go there regularly because I like what they offer but the service annoys me: the waitresses are very unpleasant, you always have the impression of annoying them, no smile, a lot of waiting, it's so Shame…

Damage ! The coffee is good but the staff is unhelpful. I ask for an espresso on site and they give it to me to take away. When leaving I remind you that I wanted him there and no response... too bad to treat tourists like this.

Best coffees and juices in Villars. The setting is great with a magnificent view of the Dents du Midi. Smiling staff, speaks several languages, helpful and fast. Great options for brunch any time, no matter the day! The classic chicken toasties and avocado toasties are always great and lots of veggie options, bagels, pancakes. Always fresh, quality products 🌱 to consume on site or to take away. I've been coming almost every week for years and I'm going to keep this habit 🥰

Service is very bad, food is very expensive. They treat their costumers with disrespect. The food takes hours to arrive. They have conversations with each other and we have to wait for hours to ask for our food. Please treat customers better.

We have tested this coffee several times over the past 2 years. The setting is pretty, the quality of the products is very good however the service is detestable. We always have the impression of disturbing the staff as soon as we arrive. Taking orders is dry and the service that follows is almost done with staff pulling a funeral head. Our last advice is not to go there at the end of the day because the first thing you will hear in the form of criticism is: “We close in 20 minutes!”. You will then have to reassure the waitress that you will be able to leave at 6:00 p.m. sharp.

Delicious coffee and loved the banana and chocolate cake! The service was excellent. They were friendly and suggested cold cappuccino instead of the hot one I had ordered as it was really warm day, enjoyed the tip! Seems like they’ve been badly trolled with 1 star reviews. Maybe angry competitors?

Visiting Kaly Cafe over their lifespan has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Their debut seemed promising, however, being charged 8 whole francs for a tiny hot chocolate seemed a little excessive. Although, I pushed my feelings aside and carried on visiting. Unfortunately, I quickly began being treated like a dog by the workers. They forced me to sit outside and sometimes I would approach the counter and they would carry on talking and ignore me until they were done. I understand some people have a lack of education in the hospitality business but these sort of acts are just common sense. They happily accept the business of school students but treat them like animals. It’s truly upsetting to see that foreigners in our beautiful Swiss country would treat others in such a poor way. I hope this review educates them a little more on manors. For the staff workers I can personally recommend EHL and the university of Glion as great education institutes.

I really like Kaly and have always found the team there helpful. The food is great and a more modern international than the other offerings in Villars (which are great but more traditional). It’s really good to have the choice Kaly offers.

All good, except that the service lacks attention and friendliness.

I’m a local in villars and from time to time brunch in kaly. The food is ok but overpriced for what it is, the service depending on the day is slow. I have noticed many students around having to wait sitting down in the floor. As I was leaving I questioned a group of boys and they told me that some students have been asked to remove their Google 1 star comments and others have even been prohibited to enter the cafe again. As a person who works in business administration I believe a cafe shouldn’t treat 80% of their main costumer population in these current conditions. The group of students also told me everyday less and less students are going to kaly and I strongly agree with them and as a local won’t come back to a cafe with these morals toward their clients.

Expensive, takes time, unfriendly service staff, food however is good although the coffee takes far to long. Students of the local school sit on the floor.

Very good quality products (the homemade cakes are divine), and the waitresses are helpful when describing the different foods and drinks. I didn’t see any evidence of mistreatment of children as some other reviews seem to insinuate…

i’m a local in villars, i genuinely hate this place, because of the fact of how disrespectful and rude people are there. even as A LOCAL, it took way too long for a literal TOAST to come, just a toast with avocado. took about an hour, i have seen beausoleil students sit outside on the floor looking like homeless dogs, i do not find this fair how they’re just sitting there without anywhere to sit or to at least wait inside considering most of their clients are from there. i strongly believe that this should change immediately as i’m very offended by this matter. i will no longer go there as i’m tired of waiting for an hour for either a milkshake, or a toast with one piece of avocado. do better kaly.

Their attitude towards the student is inhumaine and just disrespectful. I was horrified to see many well-behaved students sitting on the floor outside of Kaly. They’ve also been sitting there for more than an hour waiting for their food and drinks. The service is very slow and the way they treat customers are very bad especially to the students who study around villars. Even though they have a very good quality food and drinks but the way they treat customers makes the shop very bad. I wouldn’t recommend going there in rush time.

I am a local at Villars and I’ve been a client at kali. The service is very slow and disrespectful. The workers are rude and the food comes cold. Several days I’ve seen students crowding outside the cafe, to my questions about this, the workers said that they are “chaotic” even though the students were calmly sitting. I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse the people working here are outrageously rude to the customers, especially younger ones like students from local schools. Everyone who works there acts like they would rather be somewhere else instead. It shows in both the service and the food.

Welcoming place, both for an afternoon snack and for a well-served breakfast. Multiple choices are available to you. Perfect place for all times of the day. The staff is pleasant, smiling, and the place is quiet with a very good wifi connection (this is important yes yes).

Nice cafe with an awesome view. Friendly staff and fast service. Came in and had my bacon and eggs breakfast and coffee faster than expected. I hardly had a chance to enjoy the sofa and the view. Great experience and will be back to try the bagels

Kaly Café, a lovely place, pleasant service, delicious smoothies, desserts to die for and a menu that will make you salivate. A place not to be missed when coming to Villars. There was a time when students from surrounding schools came to settle in and respect neither the employees nor the other customers, the management set up a takeaway sale only for the students and it seems that everyone is a winner! Good luck and thank you for these carrot cakes...

I am a local in Villars and I find the workers to be extremely rude, they take too much time preparing the food and drinks and are extremely inefficient at all times. Although they have good products their customer service is not adequate and I do not recommend Kally especially during rush hours.

Unfortunately extremely disappointing. Beautiful space, with an outstanding view. However the owners claim to be environmental advocates, but there are very few options that don’t have animal products in them, and at least some of the animal products they use (those I could see the packaging of from the counter) come from industrial sources (and given industrial animal agriculture is a leading driver of environmental decline, this feels like major greenwashing). They also claim to be a specialty coffee place, but their oat milk option was the Coop brand, which is absolutely awful in coffee - my coffee was almost undrinkable. I was so excited for this place and would have been a loyal customer - but until something chanhes I won’t be going back.
