Kangin in Dübendorf

Was there several times. Every time everything single meal was amazing from starter until dessert. Staff alse very friendly. Great place!

My wife and I had a wonderful evening in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I can highly recommend this restaurant. I enjoyed the Spicey Duck while my wife had the Tom Ka Gai and we thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. We will come back in any case!

Asian food is very much adapted to Swiss tastes. There are no fresh herbs such as coriander, cilli... The portions are large and beautifully prepared. The prices are around 20-26 francs for lunch. Buffet on Fridays

We ordered something quickly and were very disappointed. It was said on the phone that there were only children's portions. Then the food arrived after almost an hour and it was one meal too many, 24.50.- Good thing the money was refunded and the food was picked up. But the rest of the food was more than children's portions. No thanks, never again.

Ordered via Just Eat. Unfortunately I can't leave a review there because according to just eat the order still hasn't been delivered. Ordered: Tuesday at 7 p.m., the food arrived lukewarm at 9 p.m. (Dübendorf/Schwamendingen route) It's not possible to ask because the restaurant's phone number is not answered and the phone is ringing happily. There is probably no apology or even close signs of possible communication. The food was OK but nothing special. I will not recommend the restaurant because this delivery behavior is probably not an isolated case but a well-known problem

I am an absolute KangIn fan. I always liked the food (all the not so spicy dishes that I have tried so far). Service is always friendly, efficient. Ambiance: One star less, not because I don't like the decor, but because it's too cold (temperature) for me. Keep it up... I'm already looking forward to my next stay in Switzerland including a KangIn visit.

I picked up a curry. Food was so extremely spicy it was inedible. A pity.

I've been going to Kang in for years and it used to be great, unfortunately the curry and satay are no longer what they used to be, much more watery and not as fine. I find it simply cheeky to charge 9.50 francs for 1 liter of water.

For years the Kangin has been one of our favorite Thai or Cambodian. We order green curry chicken and massaman over and over again. If your mouth starts watering before you order, you don't need many words

We have nothing to complain about the food, as always it is very tasty and the portions are large. What is an absolute NO GO are the delivery times. We ordered at 10:50 a.m. and the delivery time was at 12:30 p.m. No matter how early you place the order, it always takes a very long time. You receive an email with the delivery time, but unfortunately this is not adhered to. Bad service when it comes to delivery. Everything on site is always tip top.

Small, very well-kept restaurant with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. Super tasty, fresh and carefully prepared food. Very attentive and friendly service. Price-performance; rather in the upper price segment. The restaurant is definitely worth it for a cozy and enjoyable evening of dining out. I would love to come back.

Very fine food, convincing delivery service! The small spring rolls were delicious, homemade, the fried rice contained lots of fresh vegetables - here perhaps a little more courage with the Cambodian seasoning. We were even given a bouillon, which went well to give the rice more moisture. Portions more than enough. Delivery service arrived 5 minutes after the agreed time, perfect! What is positive is that the restaurant is constantly improving, be it the website, the dishes, the delivery service - keep it up!

We have ordered from Kangin a few times. The food is delicious, but the portions have decreased significantly. Today we were only delivered half of the normal portion. This is smaller than a child's portion. For this reason we contacted the restaurant directly by phone. Unfortunately, all we received was an apology and nothing other than a solution was offered to us. They said they couldn't do anything, although we then mentioned again that the portions (at CHF 24.50 each) were very small and we weren't full. Unfortunately, this is very, very poor customer service. For these small portions the price of CHF 24.50 each is completely overpriced.

The Food is amazing, and the staff was 1A. They are very friendly. At first they delievered us the wrong food, but because it was a mistake from theyr side, they offered to make it new and bring it to us again.

Starting with an excellent service (Mr. Moser) through the excellent coconut soup with the most tender chicken & the tender Cambodian beef menu to the espresso at the end! We were thrilled and will definitely come back! Thanks to the whole team.🙏🏼

I will not order online with delivery again. Not the first time it didn't work. 1.10 hours until the food was delivered. I would accept that if everything is there. Spicy duck with curry sauce is a really sad meal if no sauce is included and it is only lukewarm. After several calls that were not answered and my email was not answered for over a day, it seems that this restaurant does not value customer care.

- Ordered at 10:00 for 11:45 - Updated delivery time received at 11:05 for delivery at 12:25. - was delivered at 11:25 Unfortunately, the drink in the lunch boxes was forgotten during delivery, but additional samosas were included. Food was otherwise ok.

Best red curry and pad thai! Fast and reliable delivery and very friendly staff when eating in the restaurant. It's just a shame that they replaced the normal tofu with smoked tofu :(

We had a lovely evening at Kangin. I have ordered takeaway food several times and have always been very satisfied. That evening I was able to eat in the restaurant for the first time. The ambience is very nice. I had a really tasty omelette as a starter and green curry as my main course. The curry was tasty, but I wasn't entirely impressed; I've tasted better green curries. But that doesn't mean it wasn't of good quality. We will continue to order or eat out from kangin.

We had dinner at Kangin again. I love the “spicy duck”. It always tastes wonderful. Otherwise I can only say good things about the food. Unfortunately the service today was very inattentive... it's a shame, I wasn't used to that here before. Well, I'm looking forward to the next time and hope that the service will be good again.

I come here regularly because I work nearby, the lunch buffet is just great. Simple but really tasty. UPDATE: There is no longer a lunch buffet. The prices are in the very high price segment. Delivery drivers are constantly discussing things while eating. It's a shame, I'm really sad about the old concept. Service seemed extremely clumsy.

The curry was OK but the 45 minute delay?! The delivery time was confirmed to me via email an hour in advance! Unfortunately, my lunch break was almost over. The phone was only picked up after 20 minutes even though I was constantly calling! The call back from the manager that they suggested to me never came. NEVER AGAIN!

The address for Thai food in Dübendorf. The prices $$$-$$$$. I feel like prices have gone up a bit lately, but I'm not really sure. The food is good, the staff is very nice, and the menu has a large selection. The restaurant doesn't offer many tables, so I would definitely make a reservation. In the summer there is space outside, but it's not really nice because it's right on the street. I like it inside.

The staff is super friendly, the boss/manager gave me the wifi password so we could use lens to translate the menu. (Also, they speak English) As we came late, they were out of some food but those we ate were excellent! If I was living here, I would definetely order there A LOT.

Kangin is a Cambodian fusion kitchen concept. Family owned and treated with a lot of care. Wow factor everytime when I wish to eat asian food in the Zürich Oberland. Since the last 5 years I visit this modern and vibey restaurant. The chefs and service staff are doing an unbelievable job to make their guests happy. There is a huge difference in the quality of asian foods and these people are proofing it every time!

The Kangin is right next to a bus stop, so it is accessible to everyone: as a result of my visit, I can only recommend it to everyone. The Kangin has an outdoor terrace facing the street, but has a cozy interior. The service is very friendly and prompt. The dishes (I had baked shrimp as a starter and duck) are excellent. A good glass of wine, at the right temperature (which unfortunately is not a given), rounded off the visit. Total success, bravo!

The food is very tasty, but we waited over 45 minutes for delivery. Every time I asked, they said it would be there soon. In the end they said they were understaffed and it wasn't their fault. I would expect someone to let me know if delivery was delayed like that.

The food at Kang In is simply world class! I've been going there for 10 years and have never been disappointed. The service is not always on the same level as the food, but since it is so good, I accept that 😉 My absolute favorite food is spicy duck 🦆 A poem and exactly the spiciness I like!

It's bad to live next door. I actually want to go by every day and pick something up. Insanely delicious 😍 I just think it's a shame that take away has the same prices as if you eat there. I think you can reduce 1-2 Fr. for take away

The food is very good and it was given five stars! I have been ordering from Kangin regularly since 2020 and unfortunately there is less good news to report. The amount of food varies greatly. The delivery times are also regularly exceeded, although a delivery time of 60 minutes is always announced and when you ask they always say that they have a lot to do. Sometimes the food doesn't come at all and people claim that I have selected pickup (this isn't the first time this has happened). Of course the food is correspondingly cold. That's why I only give it two stars and I will order my food from another supplier in the future.

Food was great but delivery was 50 minutes late. This is now the 3rd time. This turns lunch into dinner. It's a shame and also that you can't reach anyone by phone.

First time at Kang In. Staff and very welcoming and small space but the tables are spaced very well apart so as not to create a "crowd". We had a Som Tam (papaya salad), a Tom Ka (coconut soup) and the beef skewers. All very good and tasty even if in the Papaya Salat they put some green beans and cherry tomatoes that shouldn't have been there. All in all 4 stars.

I am not going to rate food. I feel obliged to write a negative review, because this was one and only time when I was treated that bad anywhere in Switzerland (I live here 20 years now). Service was slow and totally unfriendly. Guy that served us had that attitude of "why you guys came here to bother me". Two of us had some finger food and each had two small beers (thats 4 beers). The bill (that we had to confirm we do want) listed 6 beers. After pointing it out to bartender, he (obviously irritated) simply put 11 francs on the bar, and that was it. No apology, no change in that attitude. Never again for me. My advice to you - ask the bill on your way out, just in case.
