I arrived one evening at 8:30 p.m. before closing at 9 p.m. to get takeout. The owner convinced me to stay there so I could eat my hot noodles, which according to her were better that way, despite the late hour. I loved the noodles, and I understood why she insisted I eat them before going home! I took the vegetarian option, the hot oil noodles, which are simply excellent! Hearty, great value for money with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. This little restaurant deserves to be better known! I recommend +++

This restaurant is called SONG which serves Chinese spicy noodles and other dishes which are tasty. It is no longer a Japanese restaurant.

We were very well received and the service was very efficient. The chicken ravioli was very good. We will come back.

No hello, no dish of the day even though it is on the menu I do not recommend

My boyfriend and I have been visiting this place for many years. The Taiwanese spicy beef ramen, the Japanese fatty beef ramen, the veggi gyoza and the seaweed salad are our standard orders. Of course, they are not as authentic as what you can get from the origin. But the taste is absolutely top as one can get in cities with rich Asian culinary culture like New York or London. The price is very reasonable considering it is in Switzerland. The small restaurant had changed owners / chef / service staff over the last years. And I remember some years ago, the flavor of the ramen was changed (negatively) for some time. But all good flavor has been back. Whenever we want a taste of ramen in Lausanne, this is the place we go to.

Super busy but there is a reason for that, their Ramen is absolutely perfect. Big portion, fair price and really really tasty.

I often come here to eat a REAL bowl of ramen, people who complain about the chef's welcome make me laugh, you come here to eat and not to tell the waiter about your life, it's true that he doesn't not at C2 level in French but sufficient to serve you.

Disappointed with my ramen. The broth tasted like water

Slightly grumpy staff (or owner?), pretty decent ramen. Had the spicy “Taiwanese” version (tasted more like a Sichuanese broth): the beef was fatty but tasty, the broth rich and 🌶 and the ramen cooked just right. It was, however, missing some greens toppings. Poor choice of drinks on the day of our visit: bottled water, ice tea and Coca Cola.

Ordered this Beef noodle/ramen soups. Tasted really good but more like Chinese spicy style broth instead of Taiwanese as the menu mentioned . Good portion with reasonable price

The overcooked noodles (or rather a pack of compact noodles), the broth ok but without much taste, I found everything average. Ok it was delivered and it may not be an easy product to deliver but that doesn't explain everything...

Hyper small packed space, so I took take out. Unfortunately everything is very bland… disguised with spice. Not coming back.

Not terrible. Visit last Sunday around 2 p.m. Very cold welcome and without any sympathy from the cook/waiter, not a single smile or communication, really limiting for a job in catering. I ordered a vegetable padthai, I'm still looking for the vegetables... Because apart from bean sprouts, peanuts and eggs, there wasn't much. Very bland in taste and as I ate to take out I was not able to add salt or anything else. Correct quantity. I do not recommend this establishment at all.

A SHAME !!! I went there hoping to eat takoyaki. Nothing is marked but he didn't have one. So I settled on ramen and gyoza (it's an insult to the kitchen to make them fried). Just when we arrived, the dishes had a smell that was close to a very bad honey sauce, the problem was that in addition to the smell, the taste was simply disgusting! I tried to ask the guy who works there if he could do something, because 25fr for dishes like that is just a steal!!1 The guy tells me he doesn't speak French well and blah blah blah... So no dialogue possible (a basic knowledge of the language of the country where we work is a minimum). In short, if you want to eat Asian don't go there (really). But if you want to eat terrible food at prices that are just way too expensive and have a stomach ache afterwards, no worries.

The Taiwanese spicy beef ramen is the best I’ve had!

Disgusting restaurant. We walked in and the smell of rotten eggs was horrible. Then the owner was very rude to us, so we left. I would suggest looking for other ramen restaurants.

So I don't have a huge experience in terms of ramen but in terms of cooking I'm used to the best. In short, all that to say that it's one of the best dishes I've eaten in my life the kitchen was clean because we could see her from the table. Everything was fantastic I recommend eating there without hesitation. 🤩

We paid CHF 84.- for 4 meals and all got sick (stomach ache after the meal, trips to the toilet the next day). In addition, the ramen was bland and the taste was not at all interesting! Very bad experience, strongly discouraged.

The broth is beautiful and spicy but the meat is VERY fatty

Disappointed with the “fried” takoyaki...

My girlfriend placed the order over the phone and then picked it up on site. Arrived there, nothing ready!!! (Not too surprised) Arriving home we get ready to mix the vegetables and meat in the broth but the worst happens, we notice something strange floating in the broth, I'll spare you the photo... There was indeed a cockroach “swimming” in the broth. I can tell you that we were more than disgusted there. First and last time, we're going to stick with our packets of instant noodles.

I should have read the reviews before eating at this place. Home 0! It seems like we’re bothering them or disturbing them by wanting to order! Bland cuisine but you can definitely taste the fat in a questionable broth... well all that to say my wife and I are sick and my stomach is churning for 2 days

This place. Is near the station, authentic cousine and full of flavour for a good value. Don't know what the bad reviews are on about. I am defently coming back to try more of the menu.

This small restaurant offers delicious ramen. Indeed, after several visits I have never been disappointed. I recommend the Taiwanese ramen (if you like spicy dishes, obviously). The welcome is correct, you don't feel rushed by the weather. The portions, by all accounts, are more than sufficient. Recommended for a meal with friends. Be careful, this place does not have toilets (which is its only fault)! Beaks.

If you're looking for a good bowl of ramen then look elsewhere. Minimum amount of toppings, flavorless broth, noodles aren't springy as you would expect ramen noodles to be. I haven't tried their gyoza and other non ramen dishes but I don't think I'll return. I don't recommended it.

Friday is beef with onions and ginger... a real delight! Too bad this dish is only available one day a week. Every day there are specialties from different Asian countries 😋

Tried, couldn’t! Restaurant full, we say we'll come back later, the waitress tells us they serve until 2:30 p.m. Back at 2:18 p.m., we had barely opened the door when the waitress shouted at us from the bar “it’s too late, just take it away!” " Too bad for you ! We'll move on forever!

This is NOT ramen! Prefer the restaurant under the station, and you will taste real ramen, at a much better quality/price ratio by the way.

I have long been a regular at the place (which has never offered excellent service) but in recent times things have clearly gotten worse. A new waitress that I found very unpleasant, during different visits, with most of the customers as well as with myself. I never saw the former employees of the place again who were much nicer. I've always had the vegetable ramen and since the "menu" changed the broth tastes very bland and suspicious, there are literally no vegetables in it other than wheat germ and two sheets of nori to hide the mediocrity of the dish (at the time you could find bok choy, carrots and even broccoli with a little luck lol) and on top of all that the soup no longer comes with an egg, you now have to pay 2 francs per egg. I have also in the past asked to have udon noodles in my soup instead of the traditional ones without any problem and during my last visit the famous surly employee told me that it was impossible to do so. I am not the type to complain but having been, more than once, disappointed and poorly received, it seems important to me to share my experience in order to improve the quality of the service provided.

Barely passable as ramen. The broth is terrible, flavourless and somehow fatty, with barely any garnishes you would normally find in a good quality ramen. The vietnamese bún bò was somewhat better but still incredibly disappointing. I really wanted to like this place as it's so conveniently located and seems to offer a good range of food. The wide range should have been a good indication that they can't produce any of it to a passable standard.

Ramen was OK, not super tasty. Gyoza were pretty good. The place is very small though and feels a little cramped.

Small place better for take away than to stay because of the limited space. Service on site is very basic, not that nice and not that smiley. The disappointment comes with the first bite: no taste. Too bad you have to pour some soja dressing to get some taste. The udon with vegetables came with barely nothing except noodles. Definitely looked better on the pictures. I wouldn’t recommend trying this place.

Worst restaurant ever!! Frozen dish prepared without gloves (after being collected). Unsanitary place and more than unpleasant employees. I left with a heavy and nauseous stomach. And what’s more, it’s super expensive for frozen food. How can a place like this still exist? This is the first time in my life that I have eaten in such a terrible restaurant.

Small, quiet restaurant you can eat in or take away. Every time I went I was well received, certainly I wasn't given a red carpet but I got a hello or welcome and a goodbye thank you and that's quite enough... she speaks French my friend but I think I don't do as well as her in her language. I had the beef ramen and the Vietnamese version (the one in the photo) it was good lots of noodles and meat after the taste it's also ok I've had worse elsewhere. I highly recommend it if you like ramen and the plane tickets to Japan are too expensive 😉

OK but a little expensive for my taste

Took a beef curry dish with rice, there were 5 pieces of meat chasing each other with potatoes and carrots probably to make up for the lack of meat... Disappointed especially for a dish for 15 francs... And without forgetting the industrial ravioli for 8 francs...

Very disappointed with the staff who were very unwelcoming. We were even refused a glass of tap water! The quality of the food is very poor and expensive. Won't go back. Don't recommend either.

I love the spicy beef ramen! Even better on a cold day when I had it in early June. The staff and chef appreciated my compliments when I remarked how much I loved it. Keep it up and believe in yourself! Service was fast. Waiter was friendly and engaging.

Japanese only in the name, "ramen" boils down to an opaque and suspicious broth with cheap Chinese noodles, the 3 slices of meat were half made up of hard and inedible fat, all prepared in advance and so 22.- for this unique dish it's just a scam. We have seen nicer staff.

personally the staff was cold but it didn't bother me more than this. What disappointed me was the food. When u read other comments, moste of people are right ✔️ Personaly the food was taesteless and doesn't fit with what they ask to pay. I didn't enjoyed at all and I just felt that I fill me with food. At the end I thought it's waste of money and I'm almost sure that I can do better at home with the seasoning. Don't trust photos cause, the dish looks good but that's it ! For me isn't real Japanese food. It's not comparable to what I tried in others places, it's just a copy. I don't recommend this spot at all. It was my first and last time. Thank u next ❌

Order the ramen soup, not the. Beef curry...

I have never had such bad noodles. Bland broth, beef too fatty. Feel like vomiting when I see that the cook doesn't wear gloves and touches everything (trash can, dirty kitchen etc...) I won't go back there again

I really enjoyed my visit. The ramen was great. But I can also understand the negative reviews. Having come early, I had no problems with space and both the waitress and the cook had time. But things seemed to get worse as people flocked. The absence of toilets is also a negative point.

Almost threw up on the way out. Beef served in a plastic bin, no toilets, poor hygiene and atrocious service. Couldn't eat more than 5% of my dish or risk passing out from horror. I am seriously concerned about compliance with hygiene standards in this place. It's not even worth talking about the taste of beef curry. If you are considering returning to this place, turn instead to the Pronto coop where instant noodles will do the trick, minus the risk.

Taste of Asia in Lausanne. This is the most Asian like ramen I have tried in Switzerland. The menu is small as well as the place but is worth trying. Prawn gyoza are very good and the breaded chicken ramen is delicious.

The cook works without gloves, touches the trash cans, the dough that cleans the bar and so on, then happily takes all the ingredients with his bare hands.... 0 hygiene! Horrible !

The ramen has nothing to do with those in Japan obviously, but it's pretty good, but still too expensive, for the dose the price is not appropriate. Don't come close to closing hours, you risk getting thrown out haha.

I adore! For a big hunger, a little one, everything is ok and their ramen is delicious! The restaurant is not very big but well laid out. Clean, warm welcome, live cooking on view. I definitely recommend going there! Their sushi and seaweed salads can be eaten on site or taken away, the donuts are always cooked correctly (like the rest). Prices are reasonable. Thanks Kawaya!

Having lived in Japan for ten years, I'd have to say this place tastes soso... The ramen was overcooked. The service is not very good. But what else can you get in Switzerland?

Huge disappointment! Okay, I thought I wasn't going to find the same taste as in Japan, but hey, you shouldn't overdo it either. Very (too) expensive for what it is, 8.- for 6 industrial frozen gyozas (true), flavorless ramen (very bland) and poorly presented. The bland and tiny “breaded chicken” that accompanied my udon made me feel sorry for myself. Hell, if they made homemade gyozas that they could then freeze without any problem would be a great plus, it takes a little time but it would definitely bring in a crowd. Same for ramen, a little life, joy and color in the bowl would be good, with real slices of pork and not borderline transparent slices of roti (beef?)... 48..- for 6 gyozas, 2 bowls and 2 cold bottled teas, it's expensive... and it's not worth it... No, I don't want to post a photo...

The lady at the checkout almost insulted me because I asked what Ramen meant. Bad and aggressive welcome!

If you like it spicy and I mean non-Swiss spicy, then you have to try the Ramen façon Thaiwanese. It is divine!
