Kerala in Zürich

I find Kerala as one of the better restaurants serving Indian food in the Basel-Zurich region. It primarily serves very good South Indian food, and as the name suggests, multiple delicacies from the southern Indian state of Kerala. I found the North Indian fare very good. They are flexible to accommodate the spice and chilli levels to your liking. I would suggest reservation in advance. They have some very authentic Fish preparations.

Kerala is hands down the most authentic Indian restaurant I've ever been. There's a good wait but it's definitely worth it. I'd rather wait a good 20 minutes or so for an authentic tasty dish than get served some fast food styled and "over westernized " food. The restaurant itself is situated right on the street, bus stop is right in front of it. There are many parking spaces near by. It has a terrace too which is a big plus. The inside is beautifully decorated with tasteful paintings and artworks. The staff and owner are very attentive and welcoming. They even ask you how seasoned you want your food to be like. This is the problem I've had so far with many restaurants, they fail to tailor personal wishes. It's the little things that sets us apart. It's not a one cap fits all. I even got a pepper sauce aside if the dish wasn't hot enough and it blew my head off to the pleasure of my partner and the owner. 😂😅😂😅😂. I like it real hot and Kerala did a great job. My personal thank to the chef.
