Very fine food and super courteous service.

We received a voucher for the Freinschmecker menu which includes 4 courses. The food was of the best quality, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was very homely :) We would love to come again!

Didn't really convince me and the price/performance isn't right

We were looking forward to yesterday's visit. In recent years we have been able to count ourselves among the frequently returning customers of 'Riverside'. Clearly there have now been some noticeable changes. As usual, the service was attentive, very accommodating and did a great job. There is nothing to add here. Thanks! The performance of the kitchen, or the quality of the goods, the product, which represents the core of the service purchased, was not okay. In short: the price/performance ratio is out of balance. Prices were raised, but the dining experience fell by the wayside. We hope that the previous demands and quality standards of the kitchen will be brought to the fore again and that you can stand out from other restaurants again. (price = performance) Good luck!

Was invited to a birthday. Had a menu. The portion of the main course was very large👍🏼 but the pasta was nothing special. The starter was good. The soup Okay. The food is beautifully prepared. I can't say anything about the price but it's probably rather expensive.

Slow service even though it's not busy. Orders were missing, didn't arrive, but were still charged. Food absolutely not appropriate for the price. Complaints were ignored. Very poor performance. Not the first time, unfortunately...

As always, brilliant. We love it and go again and again.

Everything was very good and comfortable

Beautiful garden terrace right by the river. The menu was very varied. For starters we shared a mixed aperitif platter and a mixed salad with house dressing. For the main course we had Zurich Heschnetzeltes with roasted vegetables and a pulled pork burger with fries. The plates were very nicely decorated. All in all, we paid CHF 240 for three people including coffee for dinner. The prices are in the upper segment. However, the price/performance ratio is right. I still see some potential with the service staff (what's on the menu and the ingredients of the dishes). Gladly again 😉

Went there for dessert. Was everything OK. Unfortunately for Coups, chocolate sauce comes from a tube. The service was tip top.

The garden terrace and restaurant were full to capacity on Saturday. Reservation necessary! Service was friendly and, despite stress, always very attentive in the boiler house. All meals were prepared promptly and visually good and very tasty! However, the recommended fitness plate with the 5 different salads and the chicken breast was not worth the money (around 36 sfr) in terms of appearance and price!

Very disappointed with the whole experience. We wanted to celebrate a birthday, but ended up spending the evening being treated very rudely by the service staff. I've never experienced such disrespect towards customers in a restaurant before! For the price of the food it is more than unacceptable how we were treated. Food did not meet the expectations as well (the beef filet was cold when it arrived and had to be sent back), but that is most likely due to incompetence of service staff (very long waiting times even though the food was ready), since the cook was very concerend and even came to talk to us about the issue. However, even though it was a disaster, we really appreciate that the kitchen staff and the reception lady showed effort in elevating the experience for us.

Great ambience, very attentive service. The schnitzel was thin, crispy and juicy, 1 point deducted for the potato salad, which was still quite raw and the dressing was a bit discreet in taste. I'll try it again next time because we all make mistakes sometimes.

Absolute catastrophe!!! Beef fillet is sold as entrecote! Teriaki salmon portion is only half, waiter pours Sprite over the table. We've been waiting for dessert for 35 minutes. Under each p.....

The Kesselhaus was a very good restaurant about a year ago. Since the change of kitchen manager things have only gone downhill. The selection of the daily menu was boring and unfortunately nothing special in terms of taste. For me personally it is no longer worth another visit.

We had my birthday dinner in the Kesselhaus. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was very nice and friendly. I haven't felt so comfortable and welcome in a while. Thanks to the team and see you again soon.

Enjoy your meal! Service in this price range is a joke! We waited an hour and a half for the main course after the starter! No waiter asked us that it would take longer... Really sad thing like that!!

Been a guest for years, but unfortunately today was the last time, salad as the main course was a few leaves with almost nothing, the wrong cola was brought, house sauce was no longer what Ske used to be and for a "large salad" 19.50 (like a starter) is absolutely too much

After an appointment in the house, we spontaneously decided to have something to eat in the boiler house. We were quickly assigned a table. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. From the menu we chose a salad with chicken breast and the “spicy” tartare. Both were prepared quickly and deliciously, although the tartare could have used a bit more spiciness. Although our bellies were already full after the main course, we decided on the delicious raspberry tiramisu. An all-round successful evening. We'll definitely come back.

Very nice location. We were on business in a seminar room on the 2nd floor. Lunch was very good. Service very nice and prompt.

I found the location on Google because we drove to Basel. I thought the entire concept and design of the former factory on the river was great. Old houses with modern additional buildings. Food has very good quality and good service staff

We are not enthusiastic about the Kesselhaus and will not eat there again. The location in and of itself would be really great. Unfortunately the first waiter was very inattentive and not very friendly. When asked about the many wasps, he said the wasp traps were empty, but had no interest in "filling" them again. For one menu we ordered a different side dish. After an hour of waiting (the restaurant wasn't full at lunchtime) we came to eat. Unfortunately the other supplement was lost. We were then served by a new waiter who was very friendly and attentive. Maybe you just need luck with the boiler house, but we won't take a chance on it.

Beautiful, modern location right on the river. Unfortunately completely overpriced for a small village near the border and outside of Zurich. We had to wait a relatively long time until we were served. The German waiter also had nothing better to do than say a few inappropriate sayings. The food was ok. A completely normal 0815 burger for 32 CHF and a normal Cordon Bleu for 39 CHF. Conclusion: The restaurant is nicely located but the price is too high for the food on offer.

Very unhappy with my experience here. We came in to have a few drinks in the patio. Patio was closed, not a big deal. Then we see the menu, basic food is very overpriced, so we stuck with our original plan of just drinks. The wait staff then started to ignore us completely, walk by our tables not even look in our direction. We got the feeling that we were not very welcome at this restaurant because we opted to only have drinks. We then had to wait over 20 minutes to get our bills because the waiters just did not pay attention to us, we even piled our glasses to the end of the table trying to politely indicate that we wanted to leave. They did however, talk and take plates instantly off the tables around us. Overall not very impressed, will not be coming back.

Yesterday we celebratet our 12 anniversary at the Kesselhaus and as always, everything was just perfect. As starter I chose the Wildschwein Rohschinken with salad. Very aromtic and tender. Excellent. As main course I got the Wild Dreierlei. Meet was tender and tasty with excellent cooked vegetables usw. Will be back any time soon

Im Sommer geniessen wir oft einen Kaffee auf der wunderschönen grossen Terrasse. Das Hotel / Restaurant ist gut per Velo oder Auto erreichbar. Heute gönnten wir uns zum ersten Mal einen Brunch. Leider war der heutige Ausflug eine Enttäuschung. Die Qualität der Brote liessen zu Wünschen, beispielsweise war der Zopf (TK?) innen kalt, bzw. teilweise gefroren. Gerne hätte ich jemandem dieses Feedback mündlich gegeben, jedoch liess sich bis fast zum Schluss kein Servicepersonal bei uns am Tisch blicken. Die Teller stapelten sich mittlerweilen am Tisch. Der Hackbraten vom Buffet schmeckte fad. Auch der Rest der warmen Speisen wirkten für uns lieblos zubereitet. Schade...Immerhin das Birchermüesli überzeuge uns und die kalten Speisen schmeckten sehr fein. Die wenigen Kontakte mit dem Personal waren freundlich.

Ich will nicht unfair sein, die Location ist toll (wir waren zudem auf der Terrasse) und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren schon öfter hier weil gut erreichbar für uns und fanden das Essen eher durchschnittlich und dafür auch teuer.Gestern hatten wir Spareribs und Schnitzel. Leider hätte beides langweiliger und liebloser nicht gemacht sein können (schmeckte nach Systemgastrononie) Nachdem man aber sehr freundlich mit uns war haben wir uns nicht beklagt und die recht hohe Rechnung (für die tiefe Qualität) anstandslos bezahlt.Zum Essen kommen wir jedoch nun definitiv so schnell nicht wieder (vielleicht auf ein Bier auf der Terrasse)

Beautiful restaurant with good food. Well priced, we paid 50 CHF per person for a main course, dessert and drinks. Which is a good price. The toilets are also very clean and beautifully designed.

Once again a great and successful evening in a modern but cozy atmosphere. Despite the crowds and hectic moments, the staff was always attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and very nicely prepared. We all felt very comfortable and in good hands. The restaurant is easy to reach by car and there are plenty of parking spaces.

I like it a lot and have already celebrated a few celebrations (birthdays, baptisms, brunch with colleagues and family) and we often walk with a dog, unfortunately it's forbidden. Many dog ​​owners walk along the Glatt, regardless of the weather. Would a snack, snack or drink at least in the afternoon be great?

The bonus system offered here is not customer-friendly. You get 1 point for every Fr.50. But you only get 2 points per visit. I consumed for Fr.295.-and only received 2 points. 👎👎

Very nice place. The lunch menu has potential in my opinion. Mashed potatoes with meatloaf, nothing special, no taste. I'm a little disappointed by such a great atmosphere and then such mainstream food. Staff was attentive.

Three out of 9 people have an upset stomach - chef said there was no problem in the kitchen. It's a shame about the beautiful restaurant.
