A wonderful Valentines dinner at Kindli. It was our second visit there. When I booked I specified that it was a romantic Valentines dinner and upon arrival we were guided to the most romantic table in the house. Such a nice touch! The food was impeccable (I had Rock Lobster and my husband had the filet with truffle) and Sergio our server was attentive, knowledgable and gave us lots of excellent suggestions for wine, digestivs and food. A pretty perfect experience in a mediocre Zurich food scene.

The food here is a delight every time! The reception is friendly and the service is first class. The quality of the food surprises me every time. Every bite is a treat for the palate. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and perfectly organized. I also appreciate the loving attention to detail that is evident in every aspect of the experience, from the presentation of the food to the atmosphere in the restaurant. A true gem of a restaurant that you rarely find.

We went to Kindli for a special occasion. The restaurant in the historic house has a great ambience. For starters we both had the pumpkin soup, which was unfortunately a big disappointment. The soup was so watery and bland, like water with a little flavor. And that for a whopping Fr. 18 per soup. It was also a bit of a shame that no one ever asked whether the food was tasty, not even when we returned the soup half full. Luckily the fillet with truffles and tagliatelle for the main course was excellent and saved the evening. Here, too, we cleared away without saying a word and didn't ask whether we had eaten well. All of this seemed a bit overconfident to us. Too bad, we're not sure if we would come back in the future. Addendum: Kindli kindly contacted me and assured that my criticism was taken to heart. I was very positively surprised by the reaction and a friendly exchange developed. I give you great credit for that.

It was a nice experience to be welcomed at the reserve table in a full restaurant. Again thank you very much. It's noisy, but the atmosphere is cozy, even warm. It's almost 50 years since I was a guest here with my young family 😎

Super delicious food and very friendly staff. One of the top addresses for traditional food. the Zürigschnetzlets with rösti is definitely one of the best you can get in Zurich. The warm chocolate cake is just a dream. In general a little bit on the pricey side.

Great service from A-Z👍👏you will receive a very warm welcome, no matter how many people flock to the restaurant together😀... every guest is noticed! Coats are taken off, the charming host Alessandro 😊 accompanies the guests to the reserved tables... the waiters are all very attentive, friendly, and presentable, something that you unfortunately don't find often in the "gastronomy scene" these days... But they still exist, these great “heart-blooded hosts”👏👌 that’s what makes the Kindli an absolute favorite traditional location. You can also forgive a plate of pasta with black truffles floating in a very runny, bland cream sauce😉 the only downside to our dinner yesterday. Top quality meat! Great wine list! The amusebouche, simply heavenly, you could eat it... the tender lettuce with a unique olive oil dressing!!!! At the end there was a little surprise from the Kindli crew; Star pralines⭐️(with caramel filling) sensational!!! And the finest ever, ever, Christmas stollen..... thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful pre-Christmas meal! A presto, Eliana & Dario

The Kindli is a very good restaurant, run by motivated and well-trained staff. The seating is a bit tight, which means that depending on the table and the position of the table, you will unintentionally notice more of the neighboring table. I find that a bit annoying as the prices are rather expensive.

Our first dinner in Zurich, love their rock lobster meal with a chardonnay white wine. Their truffle mushroom with fine noodles creamy was good too. Total bill for 2pax about CHF 244, Pricey but worth it for the good Food and service.

The evening began with the fact that before you arrived at the table you were first asked about your last name and asked whether the assumption that you were from xy was correct... so discretion is not an issue. When we then ordered the starter came to the table after about 3 minutes. Not the amount of time I imagine for a cozy evening in a place like this in this price category. Again, about 5 minutes after the starter was cleared away, two waiters were already there with the main course. I asked if we were in a hurry today and the waiters noticed that everything was happening a bit too quickly. The assumption is therefore that your food will not be prepared à la minute (I would expect for this price). It was then offered to take the plates back. I don't want to know how the sad career of these plates would have continued if I had let the food go back. We were then virtually ignored the whole evening. I had to refill the bottle of wine myself while this was not the case at the next table. No questions asked about whether the food tasted good, no further real contact that I would expect as part of a professional service. When we asked for dessert, the menu was brought to us, but it seemed as if we had forgotten that we would then have to place an order as a follow-up step. No gesture in the form of coffee on the house. No goodbye at the door. On the contrary, the chef de service saw us leaving the restaurant and seemed to disappear behind the counter. It should be a nice evening. I have rarely been so disappointed and, above all, so consistently ignored by the service. The service also doesn't seem to be aware that a certain class in the form of decency and attention should be offered. I'm talking about you two. Next time we'll go somewhere else because you noticed that we weren't having fun but at the same time you didn't feel responsible for changing anything about it. You are an institution in Zurich and you don't need me to come by again. So please don’t apologize. Thanks for the nice evening. Oh yes, the food was okay. applause applause

Just left the restaurant. Impression: Timeless. Exquisite. Discreet. As a lady in my final weeks of pregnancy I was well looked after (got cusions for my sore back, non-alcoholic refreshments and instantly a table inside, once the storm broke out on the terrace and my original place got first drops of rain). On my way out, the Italian speaking waiter, who attended to our table the whole evening and ensured our top comfort, bad me heart-warming farewell wishes for my baby-to-come. The manager, a cordial and charming gentleman with a grey beard and glasses, surprised me with a cute plush bunny as a gift for the little one. The whole experience: 5*. Definitely coming back for another lovely evening.

As it was my last meal in Zurich, I went to the nearby famous Church instead to check the ratings, but the food was all salty and greasy. I ate outside, but the leg of the chair was so broken that I almost fell over while eating. Even though I openly asked for tips and gave them, I got criticized.

Wonderful spot in Zürich for a good meal. Very authentic old restaurant with a renewed and quite interesting menu. Particularly the filet with nudes and truffles is a hit. Perfectly done. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Brilliant. Our little girl always gets spoiled here, so loves coming to get a special warm reception. As usual, we were seated at the Manager's 'family' table, perfect as always. Authentic local restaurant in the heart of the city, on the edge of the old town with a really great kitchen. We shared a fish and meat main course and as always super impressed. Also took an asparagus cream soup and a Knopf salad with a super tasty dressing.

A Swiss hotel with a classic character in its service and sophisticated in its treatment. The waiter helps you choose your meal, as if you were building a scenario to live in the restaurant. He explains to you the dish and its components and deals with you with all manner. The restaurant is very expensive, but it is worth the experience. I chose a plate of meat in addition to a plate of chicken for those with me and potatoes. ...And a delicious soup. We also ordered a very delicious risotto. I recommend trying it.

In the Kindli restaurant, not only is the food excellent, but also the service cannot be beaten in Zurich, because it's not just the guests who are pampered here, for example there is a small stool next to the table for the ladies to put their handbags on and if you come there with a four-legged friend like we did, your dog will be served a menu on a tray. When you pay a high price you expect a perfect quality, unfortunately the meat of the Zurich Schnitzel was a bit too hard. This has been told to the waiter but nothing has been done. Otherwise, very nice atmosphere.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately the service was overwhelmed with so many guests. We had to wait a long time for everything. What was worst, however; It was my mother-in-law's birthday and her colleague sent her flowers to the restaurant. The staff should hand these over to her in the evening. The flowers were completely forgotten. She would later be called to pick up her flowers, but by then they had already wilted. She didn't get an apology either. Already weak for such a noble restaurant…

Food was ok, but service was inattentive and we had to wait a long time until we could order the wine/drinks. But the worst thing was: It was my mother's birthday on Saturday and a friend of hers had dropped off flowers that the staff had completely forgotten. It wasn't until Sunday evening that I got a call about the gift and that my mother had to come pick it up herself. No apology nothing. The flowers had already withered. Very poor service for such an (actually) elegant and expensive restaurant.

Excellent food. They have Argentinian beef! Good service. Lovely location. Ideal to sit outside in summertime, but lovely interiors all year round. My preferred dish is “RINDSFILET MIT TRÜFFEL-TAGLIERINI”

Tasty Swiss food and very nice staff. The dining room looks very nice too. We liked all our food, but the Zurich style veal (with cream and mushroom sauce) was especially tasty. The sauerkraut was different from the ones we usually have, but was super tasty too. The chocolate mousse was great, and the larger portion was perfect for sharing.

Dined with fabulous Zurich-style chopped meat, accompanied by an excellent Bordeaux. To complete, a chocolate mousse with double crème de la Gruyère. The quality of the raw materials, the presentation of the dishes and the service are excellent. Nice historic and well-kept place.

November 18, 2022: Lunch in the extremely loud restaurant, which was very well attended. Quite tight seating. Conversing with the people sitting next to us at the table was very tiring for everyone. The food was good; but not anymore! The price/performance ratio is not right here (anymore). The service was very friendly. However, comfort looks different. Noun is omen.

Excellent dinner. Staff was wonderful with our two young kids, paid special attention to them and also brought their food out in no time! Overall we had a great dinner and service was brilliant. Added bonus: we saw them prepare food for pets, put it in lovely pet bowls and deliver to the table where the dogs were! Not our first time there, and it won’t be our last.

Best meal we had in Zurich! Service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Tenderloin was prepared perfectly and the thin noodles with truffles was to die for. Unfortunately my pictures do not do it justice.

Good Restaurant! Beautiful ambiance and a good selection of dishes. Some dishes (mainly the risotto and the pumpkin soup) could use some flavor enhancing. Service was top notch, though for some reason the waiter insisted that I should have a salad when I tried to order the soup. This was especially odd given that he allowed my husband to order the soup with no objections.

We arrived as guests at 5:58 p.m. (as the first guests) and were warmly welcomed… and left as friends at 11:45 p.m. (as the last guests) 😃 It was a wonderful evening with a fabulous culinary delight and loving service. Anytime again if the budget allows it. To top it all off, there were one or two celebrities to meet.

A quintessential Zurich establishment with good service and really stupid good food. I ordered the Fillet of Beef with noodles and the generous topping of black Truffles it comes with. The dish was refreshingly simple, cooked to perfection and the quality of the ingredients showed in the flavour.

Great Swiss food served in a traditional restaurant. Delicious dishes, fresh ingredients. The rosti was too salty though. Interior was nice. Service was attentive. Highly recommend the truffle risotto! We spent 140€ for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 water bottle, so pricing definitely on the high side.
