Small and cozy bakery, very friendly employees

One of the few bakeries in the region that offer sourdough bread! The ring sourdough bread is sensationally crispy, aromatic and, like the French baguette, its shape is very practical so that you can break off a piece with your hands. Just a little more butter on it... And there's no need to hide from Zurich's trendy bakers.

Very good bakery, I just don't like the butter peaks at all. However, the croissant and Berliner are awesome.

The bread in the barrel is sensational.

Visit to Gattikon, October 18th, 2022 around 5:15 p.m./5:30 p.m. When I entered the tastefully decorated branch, a young woman greeted me warmly and asked me how she could be of service. She gives me very competent advice and at the end of my purchase the “saleswoman” stands in front of the checkout. She asks a colleague for help (As I can hear from the conversation, it is her first day at work). The colleague makes fun of the young woman's question, uses a very harsh choice of words and portrays her as incompetent. Horrified by the behavior of my colleague and the lack of team spirit, I can only agree with other reviews. I've rarely experienced something so arrogant. I wish the young woman (unfortunately I don't know her name) a job where her good nature and competence are valued. Unfortunately, beautiful furnishings and a great product range do not guarantee customer satisfaction!

I have often shopped at Köllibeck. Sometimes on Gotthardstrasse, sometimes on Ludretikonstrasse. Now I've had enough! If you sell "old" bread, you should declare it as "bread from the previous day". Like other shops do. You can also charge 5.- for a loaf of bread. Then I also expect fresh bread. And not one that is 2cm into the crumb as hard as rusks. An impudence! I will no longer shop at this bakery. There are better ones in the neighboring communities.

Me and my family order often. But that was definitely the last time! I ordered a cake for a child's birthday party. It was a disaster, still frozen (which no one told me) even though I said I needed it fresh in the morning! & the photo was green completely green! When I reported this, no one was interested and there was NO reply by email!

People in the area now know that there is a problem with friendliness, but to now increase the prices for the "Knuspergipfeli" by an incredible 25% (from 1.60 to 2 francs!) is an outrage! ...and no, electricity did not become more expensive in Thalwil...

Choice of food was actually quite okay, staff very unfriendly and arrogant, at least some of the staff. That was my last visit to this store.

Extremely unfriendly staff. This morning I went to KölliBeck because I wanted some croissants and desserts. I often go to KölliBeck in Thalwil because they always have delicious food. I usually go to the store without my little dog, but today was an exception (I know that dogs are banned in many grocery stores, and I completely understand that). I looked for a leash holder in front of the beck, but there wasn't one. There was also no sign prohibiting dogs on the door. So I assumed that I would be allowed to take it in, which I have already done in several bakeries and other shops - without any drama. I went in, the two ladies at the counter didn't say anything about the dog. I ordered, and when I went to pay, another saleswoman came and snapped at me about the dog, saying he had to GET OUT IMMEDIATELY. I asked if I could just pay, the things were ready. But she wanted me to take the dog outside NOW. But where should I tie him up and why wasn't there a ban anywhere? So I took my dog ​​and left without my ordered things. I certainly don't go out to find a place to tie up my little dog (which is smaller than a baby) and then go back to the rude saleswoman, get the items and pay. I would rather support other businesses. This lady was definitely not customer friendly, and so I won't be coming by again. Thanks for nothing.

I avoid this shop and don't eat anything from Kölli Beck if they have something in the shop! The reason: A terrible looking and terrible tasting cake! Which I ordered for my daughter (1st birthday)! I was so ashamed to serve this cake to my guests!! There was also no understanding and accommodation from the management! That's why a 👎🏻

The owners of a bakery rent out a room adjacent to theirs. Big cozy room, nicely furnished. Even has a small kitchen with utensils and pots. Our room rate included breakfast in the bakery. Really nice choice of things to pick from. The hosts were very friendly. Thawil is a short train ride from Zurich. I don't know if I'll ever go to Switzerland again, but if I needed a place to stay near Zurich, I would stay here.

December 2017: Addendum to my review that I submitted earlier this year. Apparently, my report of my negative experience has reached someone else. Yesterday I found a very nice handwritten card and a pack of delicious Wienachtsguezli. I have to say that I was very surprised by that. I am ready to revise my opinion and would like to give the Köllibeck another chance and send my heartfelt thanks. October 2017: The bread is actually good. However, the boss is shockingly arrogant and unfriendly. Customer friendliness is a foreign word at Kölli Beck in Thalwil.

I will NEVER order a cake from them again! It's a shame what I was promised and what kind of cake I got for a child's birthday! Freshly it is NOT true! You can get a fresher and better cake at the Coop or Migros!

Nice local bakery with lots of sweet and tasty stuff, but through the time I couldn't find anything really exceptional like Sprüngli
