Konditorei Café Ernst Hotz AG in Dübendorf

I encountered terrible and rude behavior from a member of staff this morning. I waited for my doctor, went in to get coffee, and sat in a chair for five minutes. The woman clearing the tables started yelling at me in front of everyone that I couldn't stay inside with takeaway coffee. I'm willing to drink coffee in a cup or pay more, but is it really impossible to say that calmly without humiliating the customers who bought coffee from them and don't know that you can't drink it indoors? This is a form of cruelty and such people should definitely not be allowed to work in the service sector. The employee also looks very unpleasant - undyed, dirty hair and an unkempt appearance. This is not at all what you want to see in the morning. It's not the first time I've encountered inadequate staff at this cafe chain. Something clearly needs to be done here!

It's a very enjoyable place. One of my favorite cafeterias. Thank you for your fast and friendly service. I definitely recommend their delicious cakes. Additionally, specially designed gift chocolate packages are ideal for giving as gifts. Stettbach is very central, opposite the train station, and you can sit outside.

Unfortunately too expensive. Price performance is not right. Staff is great!

More than an hour before the store closed, all the bread and pastries had already been packed up for themselves by the employees, even though as a customer you were waiting at the checkout for service and then it was still rude. Does the managing director not want any sales?

Normally charming service but today the lady was not in the mood: Slow service, answering back (we ignored) and then telling us how to put the cutlery on the plate ( we ignored), asking if we spoke English (yes). We had to get up for drinks, for sandwiches, lost motivation for coffee and had to get up to pay. As I said, normally charming but not today. And this concerns only one lady.

Slow and unprofessional service. At breakfast time, the waitresses talk to each other while you wait 15' to place the order and another 10' for the service. A very nice place but a very bad experience. I will not come back.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this Hotz. The service is anything but professional, they would rather chat than serve, there are always mistakes when ordering and you would imagine friendliness to be very different. Unfortunately, I wasn't disappointed here not once, not twice, not three times. Will avoid it in the future.

Poor customer service. Waited 15 minutes for service. The three of us stood in front of the checkout and chatted with each other. The guests were ignored, we had to get up and ask for service. After another 5 minutes the waitress had to tell us that she would be back in 15 minutes. close. We wanted to cash in everywhere without asking if anyone wanted to order anything else and 15 minutes before closing time. We got up and left.

Very unreliable opening hours. The times change constantly, especially on Sundays. The shop was initially open until 1 p.m. on Sundays. Then suddenly this only applies during the summer (June, July, August). Today is the first Sunday in June and business is closed. The opening times have been adjusted again. Makes it pretty difficult to plan.

It's a shame the shop is no longer open on Sunday.

Totally mixed experience, some of the service staff are very friendly but an older lady and a very young one with blonde hair are extremely unfriendly. On my first visit shortly after it opened, I was treated so unfriendly that I didn't come back for a long time. If you order at the counter for at your seat it's wrong, if you don't do it then it's also wrong. Then it sometimes takes ages for someone to come when you want to pay or just generally ask quickly whether someone would like to order. This is really annoying because ordering at the take away counter is not welcome. Then there are very nice things, but we drank the latte that I and a colleague got to take away. It was really horrible and I'm usually very against food waste, but we couldn't drink it and we had tasted it around the 6th .-

Fine products, but unfortunately a very unmotivated and unfriendly sales staff. When asked about canapés, she replied with a horrible "smack": "There are no more and we're closing in 10 minutes." Wow. Is that how you talk to customers? Very charming of the lady to make you feel unwelcome and to please leave as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend that the branch management train such employees accordingly or replace them.

Today I was in this store for the first time. Unfortunately, the employee at the checkout is blonde with glasses, unfriendly and works somewhat reluctantly. Otherwise the other employees are very friendly and the food tastes good.

A latte macchiato with two espressos in it: not possible. A double espresso with more milk doesn't work either. Only double espresso works. Point. I would have expected more from the Hotz.
