Kurioz in Zug

For me one of the absolute best restaurants in Zug. The service is great, the food is perfect and the ambience is suitable for every situation and every occasion. You just feel absolutely comfortable. Thanks for everything and see you again soon.

Cosy space for after office drinks. Gets quite busy on weekends.

First in the bar. The music got louder and louder. You could no longer have a normal conversation. Changed to the restaurant. Price seen from dinner. I was speechless at first. 4 courses with mini portions 97 Fr. Plus drinks... The food was good and creative. But not so awesome that it justifies the price.

This a lovely bar and restaurant, ideally located a few minutes from the train station, the city center and the lake. They have great cocktails and drinks, but also snacks and food. The atmosphere is also really great there, whether outdoors or indoors (comfortable seating available, laid back music) - we always have a nice time when we meet friends for drinks at Kurioz! Finally, the staff is super friendly, and usually speaks several languages.

Uncomplicated and friendly staff, as soon as we entered the restaurant the drinks were delivered to us, even though the restaurant was full. Always my pleasure!

Without a doubt one of my favorite places in Zug, very good atmosphere, excellent service, the food is delicious and a very good selection of cocktails, you can't ask for more. I recommend it 100%

Excellent cuisine and I'm always amazed at what's being created here. The staff is also perfectly attuned to the whole concept and you are always greeted with a laugh. I'm not the only one who is amazed at why Michelin and Gault Millau don't award each other their stars or hats here.

Best place in Zug for a casual drink (inside or outside depending on weather) with a really good vibe. Zug is definitely not the coolest city but Kurioz challenges that. Great drink selection (spirits, beers, wine) and fairly reasonable prices for Switzerland. But its the staff that make the place! Friendly, relaxed, but on the ball - bar staff to head chef. Make you feel welcome and part of the Kurioz family without being sales people. Oh, first time we’ve eaten here (we had international guests) and was spot on! Good thing is restaurant is high end (with food & service) but its next to the bar, so going back to that vibe. Great for pre-dinner and post-dinner drinks but reserve as super popular (but you’ll see why..)

Had dinner there. The food was good but a little overpriced and with very little choice, service was, let's say, "detached" and the view is non existent. There are a lot better restaurants in Zug.

Always tasty and a great service. It can be a bit slow during peak times, but it's worth the wait. Try the spicy margarita which is amazing and for a quick bar bite the steak sandwich is great. Also truffel sweet potato fries are super tasty.

Fine food and friendly service. However, in a restaurant I want to eat in peace and talk to the person I'm talking to. The loud bar music is extremely annoying. The staff couldn't explain the strange card composition in detail. Noun is omen.

It used to be much better, now it's too expensive for what you get. No longer recommended.

We were astounded that at 10 minutes before six without a reservation, this restaurant was completely full… Many restaurants tell you that they are fully booked, this one was factually FULL. With a little bit of luck and kindness, we were able to get a table in the bar area where we enjoyed what can only be described as a Michelin Star worthy epicurean rapture. Usually, a bar menu is not exactly known for delighting and surprising guests. However, we were completely blown away by both the quality and presentation of the appetizer and main dish offered. (Chef’s choice) To say that the dishes were simply “plated” would be a vast understatement as the food here is carefully curated and the final work of art can only be the work of an artist who has the rare gift to construct incredible visual appeal. The chef truly offers you a masterclass in eye candy. The monkfish was perfectly seared and the melody of fresh baby vegetables were the perfect accompaniment. I can’t even try to describe how beautiful and surprising the tomato ice cream was! We had the honor to meet the chef after the meal, and was astonished to learn that he wasn’t from some Parisian chic restaurant, rather from near Dresden. Make no mistake, this chef’s star is rising, and you would be wise to catch it while you still can pay for it.

We have been to KURIOZ a few times now and can highly recommend it. We love this mix of bar and restaurant, this mix of ages and nationalities. The themes and the menu are a challenge. But if you're a little flexible in terms of cuisine and allow yourself to be taken in by the chef's whims, you'll have an experience that doesn't exist in Zug. You can choose between 4-6 courses. We are usually well fed with 5. Huge compliments to the team who guided us attentively through the evening and of course to Christoph Seidel, who always surprises with his unusual themed menus. We'll be back soon and are really looking forward to it! PS: Thank you very much for the note on how to prepare the pickled vegetables. Let's try it out soon ;--)

In the evening there is a menu from which you can choose between four (around 95 francs) and six courses (around 130 francs). There is a busy bar in the front part of the restaurant. The quality of the food in the evenings is high and the service is very attentive. The courses were delivered quickly. The table spacing is decent. You don't sit on top of each other. Price/performance perfectly fine. Recommended. Be sure to reserve a table.

For me the most interesting restaurant in Zug at the moment. The food is great, the bar is cool and the staff is friendly. The only thing that could be improved is that the drinks are always of the same standard. Some employees make great drinks, but others don't do it so well.

Kurioz has an inventive menu, it's like a crossword puzzle to figure out what you are going to get. The friendly staff explains it well. The cooking was remarkable, the courses well balanced and absolutely delicious.

Great food, beer. No rush and plenty of time to chat or have meeting. But not a cheap meal and even with 110CHF 5 course (and tasters) you can leave hungry.

I had wonderful birthday dinner with my family. Food, service, wein choice and ambience, it was perfect with every aspect. I had 6 course menu and none of the dishes disappointed me. Also they are nice to make a special dish for my 10 years son, who is rather picky with food but he enjoyed it very much. We will return soon for sure.

A world class dining experience - Zug coziness with the standards of a megalopolis. The tasting menu (4 dishes) was enough for a hungry guy, although if you’re feeling cheeky I’d go for 5 ;-) The wine selection is well thought through with hidden gem wines in lieu of just prohibitively expensive bottles. I really appreciated this touch. Service was perfect: Professional yet relaxed and flexible. A must-do if you’re in Zug or Zurich!

Can just be recommended. Very tasty food (e.g. plate for 2 and sweet potato fries😋) and a super cool drink Aprocotliqueur with tonic👍 Interior very nicely decorated.

With an excellent proximity to work places, Kurioz Bar & Kitchen offers a wide range of wine and have also a kitchen for delicious dishes. The quality of food is very good and can be relatively expensive compared to a proper restaurant. However this is one of the best place to order and taste wine.

Terrible Service, unfriendly owner, hugely overprice mediocre food

This was our first visit to Kurioz. It had just re-opened after the COVID lockdown. The interior is modern, a bit minimalist and elegant. There is a set menu (in this case it was a seasonal asparagus menu) with some excellent courses, particularly the starter and the desert. One of us took 5 courses, which was almost too much. 4 courses were good. Very attentive staff and - for Zug - not overly expensive.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Zug. Perfect service. Overall the best zug has to offer.

I recently moved to Zug from Geneva, with little knowledge of the local area I took a friend to Kurioz for drinks and dinner.Despite it being corona times, the food was incredible, the drinks were just as good, and the service was even better.I will take any visitors here without a doubt. Can not recommend enough

In jeder Hinsicht ein Restaurant der besonderen Art. Hier trifft Gourmet auf "fühl dich wie zu Hause". Küche und Service laden gerne zum bleiben ein. Über das Menü muss man nicht viel erzählen, geht hin und erlebt es selbst.

Ich war das erste Mal im Kurioz, und muss sagen der Service und das 6 Gang Menü waren Exzellent.Christoph und sein Team in der Küche, ein absolutes Highlight was er/sie da Zaubern und geschmackvoll auf die Teller kreieren, quasi eine Geschmacksexplosion vom aller feinsten. Für Sonderwünsche hat das gesamte Team immer ein offenes Ohr und wird sofort umgesetzt.Der gesamte Service inkl. Alfi waren Top und sehr gut gelaunt und ließen keine Wünsche offen.Das Kurioz ist sehr zu empfehlen und das war Definitiv nicht der letzte Besuch. Macht weiter so. Vielen Dank für den Abend hatte eine menge Spaß mit euch allen und es war ein gelungener Abend durch und durch bei toller Ambiente und Essen.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Restaurant hat ein super Ambiente, der Service sowie auch das Essen ist hervorragend. Definitiv eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Zug.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort und haben den Abend mehr als genossen! Das Menü war kreativ und super lecker, der Service 1a und das Ambiente super gemütlich. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste mal und sind gespannt auf das neue Menu!

By far the best place in Zug. The chef changes the menu every 3 weeks so you are always eating in season. The tmenu is simply very good. There is a nice bar, good atmosphere. If you have only 1 evening to spent in Zug I would recommend coming here hands down.
