The food is really very tasty. I can highly recommend the pizzas. Allergies are addressed very well. The restaurant itself could be better decorated inside. The staff was rather overwhelmed at lunchtime.

Near the shopping center, easy to find. Does not look much Italian inside, it is pretty much "cold" and lacking specific vibrance. Food is expensive (Switzerland!) yet OK. Service makes the difference - smiley faces, kind, attentive and helpful - and reasonably quick. Grazie/merci/vielen Dank.

This Monday I had Piccata Milanese. Basically we go to La Bocca once a week because the food and the service there are top notch except for one service lady. However, the food wasn't as usual that day. The meat was OK, but the noodles had probably been heated in the pan and had become partly dry and were not of the usual quality. After I had eaten about half of the meat and about 20% of the noodles, I was too stupid to chew on the hard and cold noodles and had the plate discarded. When I paid, the entire 19.90 CHF was charged. When I asked if I had to pay the whole thing, I was told, yes. I then asked the boss if he was serious! He insisted on collecting the whole price even though almost half was returned and the noodles were very bad. I would have gladly paid 15CHF and everything would have been fine. But no, it had to be 19.90. I assume that he is doing too well and that money is more important to him than satisfied customers. Now I won't visit this restaurant again, it's actually a shame because the service staff is 75% op. Unfortunately, everything is rated 1 star because of the owner, even though the food was ok and the service was top!

We were neither informed about the price nor asked about the size. In the end, 4dl of tap water cost me 7 CHF. More than 5dl of mineral water costs in Zurich. I cannot recommend the restaurant. The only positive thing was the size of the mixed salad and the bread that came with it.

I visited “la bocca Grossacker” a total of two times, both times at Pentecost. The first time was in the evening, incredibly spontaneous and without(!) reservation with my girlfriend and her dog - the welcome was very warm, the service was friendly and the food was fantastic! There was typical Italian antipasti as a starter and as a main course, saddle of lamb fillet, as well as veal schnitzel with risotto. As (almost) the last guests in place (it was really late) and to celebrate the day, the portion was kindly a little larger - great! Today I was alone there and had the chance to try Gamberetti in a 300g portion from the hot stone... truly an experience that I have rarely enjoyed in restaurants before. The seafood cooks directly on the stone, on the table - the result was tasty, the typical shrimp taste was perfectly preserved thanks to the simplest and natural ingredients; complemented by the added flavors. On the evening of the first visit, the employees Connie, Marcel and Ragout were still on site to ensure every guest was completely satisfied. Mission accomplished! Today I was also greeted and served by Marcel. Thank you for a wonderful time! You are awesome! I can highly recommend a visit to everyone. Family-friendly service on site!

The food is excellent! Best pizza far and wide! Very good quality of products. Real mozzarella and not a chewing gum product like some places. Mushrooms and other vegetables are great! No TK or canned products The service is very polite and attentive! We'd love to come back! We recommend!

Basically it's a great pizzeria, almost everyone can find something to eat. Unfortunately, as a celiac disease sufferer, I don't. On my penultimate visit here I was told that the risotti were gluten-free but today I was proven wrong. I really think it's a shame that there is no gluten-free pizza, pasta or other dishes for such a great pizzeria. I and other celiac disease sufferers would be very happy if there were at least one or two gluten-free dishes (pizza & pasta) on the menu. Update on March 5, 2023 Today I had dinner here again with friends. I was allowed to hand over my gluten-free pasta and they prepared it for me. Thank you for your understanding and the opportunity to eat gluten-free here. I will gladly come again.

Second time in a week that i frequented one of 3 or more La Bocca pizzerias in St. Gallen. The pizzas are tasty, crispy, with a well seasoned tomatoesauce base. The toppings are sufficient. The athmosphere and feeling of the restaurant though is like a waitingroom for an doctor.
