La Bonbonnière Chocolaterie in Genève

I booked a private “chocolate bar” workshop at the Chocolate School, and we had a wonderful time as a family, with a very professional and friendly chocolatier! A big thank-you !

We can say that it was a place where we tried chocolate fondue and liked it. Its atmosphere and environment are among the other features we like.

We went to this chocolate shop since it is part of Geneva's ChocoPass program: 24 hours of chocolate tasting in 7 different shops in the city, for the sum of 30 CHF/person (in terms of quantity, one pass is enough for 2 people). The staff of the “La Bonbonnière” chocolate factory offers to take the chocolates to take away or on site. We got 4 chocolates and a hot chocolate for this shop. For those who are not a fan of hot chocolate (because of the milk), you can go for it with your eyes closed, the milk won't taste at all! Our preference: Dark chocolate with Bergamot!

Great staff, i had the choco pass and the chocolate was nice+ i got a hot chocolate!🫶🏼 the vibes were great and its more of a cafe, where you can hangout and they’re showing videos of how they make the chocolates as well. fabulous!

A good spot for a quick recharge, specializing in a variety of hot chocolate options. While it boasts an extensive hot chocolate menu, I wasn’t impressed with the light taste. It’s a pleasant spot for a brief stop, but the hot chocolate might not meet the expectations set by their ambitious menu.

We tried the chocolate card workshop and we had a pleasant creative time accessible to everyone with a very friendly chocolatier. Before that we couldn't miss the snack by ordering hot chocolate obviously as the menu is so extensive. Everything was delicious, the staff were lovely. For pastry, maracuja and Caribbean are essential!

Very rude and unfriendly manager/head waitress. We came as a group of 6 colleagues with the Geneva Choco Pass and were asked to take the included hot chocolate and drink it outside in the rain even though there were many available free tables inside and also the bar was empty. We had only asked to be kindly seated for 10 minutes, the lady replied she has no obligation to seat us. There was not a single word of explanation to the chocolates that were handed to us (other chocolatiers had taken a couple of minutes for explaining the chocolates). We were treated as customers of second class that should leave asap. The lady was very unwelcoming. The chocolate was good, pity the staff impression was so negative. Nevertheless, the Choco Pass itself (from Geneva Tourism) is a great concept and the other 6 included chocolatiers in Geneva offered us a welcoming and amazing experience!

For a good big hot chocolate it's perfect, the service was correct and the staff friendly! Unfortunately there was a lot of noise but that didn't spoil the taste of their products ✨️

Very good experience. We tried the chocolate fondue with my sister. We were served by Diego and it was a real pleasure. I would like to point out that of all our visits to Switzerland in catering establishments, it was he who provided us with the best welcome and service. Service matters a lot, just as much as the quality of the food offered. The fondue was also superb. This experience clearly made us want to come back. This is why we love Switzerland!

The “Chocolat dégustation” is amazing! You get to taste 5 different varieties and flavours of hot chocolate!!

Large choice of hot chocolates (Tanazania for the part) really very good and the lemon meringue tart is one of the best I have eaten (for the moment 😅) more than affordable prices for a good time shared with family! The staff was very nice contrary to reviews I saw earlier.

The hot chocolates are great, there is something for everyone. As for the service, it depends, but generally speaking they are welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is between the discussions of the people around and the smell of chocolate.

This Saturday, December 30, I'm going to your store to discover some truffles to take away and it's definitely the last time. Your brunette employee who serves me pulls her face and sighs several times. She can stay at home if she is not happy working. She has a very mocking facial expression and is in no way professional. Your truffles have no taste or are very old Don't go there, the welcome is more than unpleasant.

Awesome 👌🏾 To be honest, I was afraid everything would be too much since we ordered their famous chocolate drink with sweets, but the taste came out balanced. The important thing is that the drink is no longer like it. I have never tasted anything like it 👍🏾👍🏾🍫😋🍫 Look at its name on the bill because there is more than one type.

Little visit today to the La Bonbonnière chocolate factory for tea time. We chose to taste their “Sweet Time by La Bonbonnière” composed of an assortment of 14 pieces and your choice of a hot drink or a glass of champagne. I preferred an excellent tea from Mariage Frères with a subtle aroma of chestnuts, it's autumn so let's take advantage of the flavors that this season offers us. The assortment is served on a slate and nicely arranged. A little disappointed at first sight, by so many chocolates, excellent for those who know this address, but I was perhaps expecting a sweet mixture of chocolate and small biscuits. I admit that in the end we were a little disgusted. But everything was really delicious!

I recommend la Bonbonniere for coffee, but not for a meal. Their chocolates are delicious and they have a variety of great hot chocolate. Lunch menu is limited. Quiche had a very hard crust. The server told me the quiche was leek but it was actually spinach. Check was brought to the table before our lunch which is very unusual for Geneva.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this chocolate workshop! The entire place was clean and well-managed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even though my group arrived 15 minutes late, the team still managed to wrap up the workshop on time despite us missing out on a few fun parts of the experience. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a fun and unique activity. Thanks again to the team for making our visit so enjoyable!

This experience was really like no other! I got to choose what kind of chocolate I wanted, create a box out of it and decorate the exterior with whatever came on my mind!! Don’t even let me start talking about the service and guide, she was an absolute sweetheart! Would really recommend if your into Swiss chocolate 😇

The chocolate is amazing. However we visited on a choco pass, which we have also done previously. On this occasion they insisted it was take away only and didn't give any choice over the hot chocolate, it was as if they just wanted to get rid of us. On the previous visit with the chocolate pass we were able to sit down and had not only the choice of hot chocolate explained but also the chocolates on offer. There were only 3 other customers so there was plenty of room, it unfortunately created a less positive experience.

Visited as part of the Geneva Choco Pass, and we received a hot chocolate to go (besides the actual chocolate tasting pieces), which was absolutely delicious! The shop inside has a nice set up, so we'll definitely come back to explore more of that hot chocolate bar.
