La Brasserie in Murten

Excellent regional cuisine with fresh ingredients. Also many traditional dishes that are no longer offered. Here beef tongue in white wine sauce with dry rice and a vegetable bouquet. The price is reasonable and the ambience is absolutely homely and worth seeing. A great experience.

Ambience, service and food everything met our wishes. Especially the great selection of wines by the glass. The eye eats too! The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Tender, delicious entrecôte and tasty Zurich schnitzel. We will be back.

The Manager did everything to find us 3 places. Thanks a lot. Giant breaded slice but nothing more, I had the impression of eating breading more than meat (meat: maximum 3mm thick). Standard fries.

We went there during the festival of lights, we had reservations. Everything was correct given the large number of customers. On the other hand, the service was dismal, we were served by a person who didn't like his job and didn't like people. Damage. The carafe of tap water: impossible according to the waitress (even though we had paid drinks) so they brought us water in a carafe charged CHF 8.00. We asked for an extra portion of fries (which is on the menu): impossible according to the waitress... I thought it was a joke, but no, she was serious. We won't set foot there again.

Beef tongue with caper sauce: Consistency of the sauce too light and tasteless! Capers too rare and without any taste! Slices of tongue too thin (almost a carpaccio) and overcooked! Overcooked carrots Garnish OK! Not recommended.....really!

Delicious steak. Impeccable service and very friendly Italian waiters. Small downside on the carafe of tap water charged 12.- and the gourmet coffee with the so-called “surprise made by the pastry chef” accompaniment which turns out to be a simple scoop of ice cream, disappointing (12.50.- for a coffee and a scoop of ice). These 2 points need to be improved. Otherwise the rest perfect.

We came here with a group. Nice atmosphere and delicious food. Also vegetarian options (e.g. Käseschnitte, salad, quiche, burger, veggie BBQ plate) and several dessert options.

For 7 months I have come to the brasserie to eat once with the family, everyone has had the most different, the perfect service, we drank a pinot noir from Vully, very good, desserts and thumbs-up coffee, in total, this restaurant is warmly recommended I went back there 5 more times with other friends. I recommend you reserve, there are always people. And I've never been on it. So if you are looking for a beautiful brasserie with more old-fashioned dishes and very good quality meats, look no further. Enjoy your food.

Brasserie that lives up to its name with the dishes offered as well as the decoration and atmosphere. The service for a Saturday evening was excellent. Too bad the quantity of fries and zander in the “Basket” formula at CHF 26. – a salad would not have been amiss on the side. I still recommend it!

Food was tasty but not plentiful. See picture $30.- for a few pieces of Fish and Fries???? !! No Salad to go with it. Too expensive for what you get. $. 7.50 FOR A CONTAINER OF WATER? Atmosphere is nice. Waiter was very friendly.

The spare ribs I ordered were very fat and the non-fat portion was too stiff. French fries were rather ok though. Staff was polite. I'll come back in the future, and hope I'll change my opinion.

The Swiss cheese burger is really excellent, I highly recommend it! The fries on the other hand a little disappointed, the portion is small and almost a little too fried. Top desserts, very friendly service too. The beers nothing to say, very good. Overall very satisfied, I will come back!

A friendly restaurant, whose decoration transports you elsewhere. The meal was excellent with good products. The service was a little cold and lacked a little welcome, but that did not spoil our meal. I leave with a good memory.

Service ok (even if very bitter on the phone). However, don't get the crispy beef. Nothing crunchy, 100g of meat with 40% fat/nerves.

We have been guests in the brasserie 2-3 times a year for years. Unfortunately, it gets a little less good every year. The prices are actually reasonable, but I also expect top quality. What my veal ragout was not. Way too much fat! Last time the dessert. But my main recommendation to the very friendly brasserie team: Please remove the two trash cans from the guest area! It stinks and attracts even more flies than what happens in the summer anyway. Who wants to eat 1 meter next to a trash can? But somehow it was noticeable overall that the leadership was no longer as right as it used to be. I hope things get better again.

Excursion and fine dining in Murten. We decided on the brasserie to have something delicious to eat. The service was very friendly and our dog, who we had with us, was immediately given a bowl of water without us asking for it. I think that's really great... Price/performance for the food was tip top. It was very nice, we'll definitely come back.

Four of us had dinner at La Brasserie on Saturday. The service was attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere outside was very cozy. We'd love to come back.

Enjoy your meal... But the service is stressful and brisk. We can't say what the reason is, it remains a mystery. We were friendly, well dressed and (2 people) behaved in a "civilized" manner. Maybe we didn't fit into the scheme 😆

We came this afternoon with a gourmet passport, a very warm welcome and fast service. We ate snails and foie gras as a starter and as a main course beef steak cut with brasserie butter. Everything was really excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant

We visited the brasserie on a Sunday lunchtime when the weather was nice. My girlfriend & I had the Olma bratwurst with rustic fries & a small salad, it was very tasty 😋, top price. The location in the old town of Murten is ideal. At the end there was a grappa and an espresso. Would visit the brasserie again.

Arriving to eat, we order a Burger and asparagus with goat cheese. When the dishes arrive, we see that the asparagus, 5 on the plate and a few potatoes with a very thin slice of goat cheese, are fighting furiously in the dish. We ask the waiter, for them it's normal, the dish is the one ordered, no suggestion from the kitchen and we explain that the dish is a little light. Damage. 27frs for if we can, we won't come back.

We came in spontaneously for lunch. Starters were amazing best fois gras I ever had with truffles and figgs. For maincourse we had housemade wildgarlic gnocchis and my boyfriend had fresh shrimp from the region with hummus and asparagus. I can tell you these gnocchis were very unique, inside still soft and super tasty and with spicy sauce. Shrimps and the lemon hummus absolute perfection. I expected here to be honest some easy basic dishes, but not gourmet flavors. Big compliment to the chef. For dessert we had a surprise, coffee with homemade vermicelles, was super delicious. All together we had an amazing time here very cute and unique restaurant. Thank you very much. Merci beaucoupe.

Very good brasserie located in the old town of Murten. Attentive, fast, very friendly and professional service. The beef steak was excellent (just a little overcooked) and the butter perfect (perfect seasoning and salting). The fries, salad, and polenta were also crazy good. The lamb shank was good but the sauce lacked a little finesse. Very good portions. Small disappointment for the desserts: nothing special and indifferent, not particularly good (lots of cream, few flavors). I had meringues with double cream and cooked wine: only a small drizzle of cooked wine, not enough for a cooked wine dessert. Service attentive to customer allergies. Very good atmosphere, recommended.

Great Atmosphäre with very kind staff. Dishes were served very promptly. Wiener Schnitzel was too dry and did not taste too well. Cordon bleu was too thick but well prepared with a fantastic cheese. Vine choice was OK but not great. Price was acceptable.

A little expensive for the quantity

The waitress brought us the burgers but didn't know which one was for whom. She lifts the bread WITH HER FINGERS!!! When we told her that it wasn't clean, she left to lift the loaves to the kitchen (we saw it) and came back to bring them to us. The quantities of the gourmet salad at 30fr were RIDICULOUS! There was 100g of salad, 2 slices of bread 1cm thick with a slice of foie gras 1cm thick! 3 slices of raw ham and 1 normal-sized piece of cheese. 1 tray of fries accompanies this... for 30 francs I was really hungry and I generally have a small appetite. Noisy restaurant and not great service... limited quantities! It's the festival of lights but that doesn't excuse everything.

We took the chicken basket at a price of 27.- with only 3 wings and a few fries inside. Despite that, the pork ribs were not bad.

I ate well.. Picking from my friends' plates, very good but not very filling.
