Very good meat, good service, good atmosphere, I'm definitely watching!

Very friendly and attentive service. We were there for lunch and chose three types of fish crispy with fries and tartar sauce, which was an excellent choice. The view of Lake Murten was the icing on the cake. We will go there again.

Super good and original tartars because we find them with various meats that we are not used to such as veal, horse or lamb. The mixture with and customization, and otherwise the meats that you cook yourself in the small pan are nice too. The view is superb and the staff really friendly.

Had dinner here today. We chose the restaurant because of its Google rating of 4.7. And I have to say, this assessment is not accurate at all. As soon as we entered the restaurant it smelled like heating oil. In addition, the restaurant is very narrow and had no fresh air supply. We decided to stay there because we were very hungry. The food: there is a great tartar menu. Monthly hit truffle tartare. I chose immediately. Unfortunately, that didn't meet my expectations. The tartare was made with pickled truffles and also with truffle oil. So I couldn't taste/feel anything other than truffle oil. That was a shame and very dominant. The oil dripped on all sides. The Wienerschnitzel was good. If I had eaten this, I would have given the meal 4 points. The restaurant was full and the thick and unpleasant air was getting worse. We were happy to be outside again after an hour.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake (limited number of seats with view). The welcome is warm and the service attentive. A celiac person accompanies us, we are happy to advise us and this person is also delighted with his dinner. Thanks to the team! We will come back

Excellent location with a beautiful view of the lake. The prices are absolutely correct for Switzerland. The dishes are very good and I recommend for a lunch break with a short visit to the beautiful old town. An idea for a stopover on your way back from skiing

It took us a year to enjoyed this very delicious meal again. Last Morat/Murten Christmas Market 2022 was the 1st time we found this Meat and View restaurant, and here we backed again on Christmas Market 2023 for this menu again. Highly recommended

Warm welcome, discreet and efficient service. The meat dishes are really enjoyable, the accompaniments are successful. The view of the lake is particularly beautiful but reservations required for a table facing the view. I recommend the tartars and the pan.

The burger is very good and the fries too. I really liked the blanket with the wine leaves. The only drawback is the service - the dishes were cleared even though others at the table hadn't finished yet.

We had a company event and all I can say is... well done. Cool, friendly and good location. Fine food and very polite service, which we MAN more..... Keep it up and I'll come back again!

Friendly welcome. Very beautiful view of the lake through a bay window which opens completely. Very good tartare that you can taste before serving. Very good fried fish. Very good roast beef with potato on the side. Good desserts. If you want to eat with the best view, by the window, I advise you to make a reservation. I recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. The view of the lake is beautiful. The food was fine and beautifully presented. The staff very friendly and accommodating. Only the espresso could be improved. But it's typically Swiss, there's rarely a good one.

My son looked at the reviews on Google for restaurants in Murten. As this one is particularly well rated, we went there. Without any regrets, on the contrary. We come from Geneva by train and will happily make this journey again to eat in this restaurant.

Two very nice experiences. Super friendly, smiling, friendly and professional staff. Reasonable prices for the town of Murten. For a Saturday lunch, 4 possible menus in addition to the à la carte, it's rare. The meat in the pan, great, with a very nice garnish. Honestly great....

Nice view on Murten lake. Food was delicious and service very friendly. It’s more of a friendly atmosphere and well located in the old town; ideal for a good lunch or dinner. My colleague got the fried fish, it looked delicious and j got the wiener schnitzel. Very good as well!

Very nice view of Lake Murten from the inside, but the glass facade is not very wide. The staff is friendly. Varied menu for gourmands and gourmets alike. As the name suggests, the meat is the star and my personal recommendation: Beef steak served on a pan, 3 sauces, with extra foie gras and cheddar fries. The quality and flavors are there and we will happily come back to visit them again.

Very beautiful view Be careful to book a week in advance for a place on the balcony!!! Very interesting fish to have mixed the kinds and it is in Tampura. I'm not a fan of the sauce because I don't chase dill. Excellent roast beef In short, I highly recommend. No wifi Smiling staff and friendly boss. Very clean toilet. There is a terrace on the street side and a dining room on the lake side.

Stunning location, with lake view. We had a cheeseburger and a classic tartare. Very good cheeseburger, not the tartare. Too many hard, stringy pieces and all you could taste was mustard. It will be worth giving a second chance but certainly without tarting next time

The view was really nice and luckily we also had good weather. From the outside the restaurant looks very inconspicuous but once you're inside it's fantastic. The food was very tasty and totally inexpensive. I can only recommend!

Best tartare in French-speaking Switzerland!! On the other hand, I don't like paying for the carafe of water when we have had wine and coffee... When I ask for an explanation, I am told that we have not consumed enough. We should have taken a bottle each and then driven home??!!

On our first visit we liked it better at Meat & View than this time, fine food (tartare recommended) with a beautiful view of the lake. However, this time we were disappointed with the food and the service. The food wasn't worth the price. Every 5 minutes the staff came to our table and asked us something, for example whether we had finished eating and wanted to clear up, even though we were still eating (so we felt quite disturbed/stressed). The restaurant wasn't even full. They could have easily passed on the reserved seats at the front with a direct view of the lake (there are only 2 tables), as no one came for a long time (a few guests came and ate and left again during this time, including us). You could have planned better. Unfortunately we won't be coming back any time soon...

I had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. Was a suggestion of a lady staning in front of the location. Nice street terrasse in the old town and interior with lake view. Staff and owner were lovely people and the guests too. Very open minded. Great atmosphere and conversations. The food was excellent. If you like meat thats the place to go. Tatar was amazing and you can choose from a list how you want your Tatar. Entrecôte was lovely aswell. All regional and fresh. Top. Thanks for the lovely evening!

We discovered this restaurant while walking in Murten. The steak tartares are excellent, fabulous, the red fruit panna cotta are to die for. The waitress is smiling, responsive and takes great care of her customers. For us the address to remember in Murten
