La Clef in Fribourg

This restaurant La Clef. Is not bad. However, I would put a downside to the lack of choice of menus and dishes at slightly excessive prices...

Before it was great. Today there is no more Kwak, the service is more than questionable but above all the dishes have no taste. At this price it is unacceptable and it is no longer worth going down to bass for that.

Meat fondue, kangaroo, beef, horse, pork, chicken, home fries. Everything was excellent

We ate an excellent cheese fondue. Even though we showed up after 9.00 pm, we were greeted kindly. Very friendly and nice staff. Well done.

Tried the Falli Holli Chinese fondue, smoked meat, delicious! Efficient and pleasant service. too bad the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. when we are a team of 25 eating generously, it seems to me that we could make a little effort... Despite this I recommend this restaurant

Just had an aperitif on the terrace with an impressive view from below over the upper town. Looked at the food menu, appetizing. Get there with the eco-friendly antique funi with its wastewater traction.

A magnificent view and a romantic place that takes you between the past and the present. The most beautiful thing is hearing the sound of the river water as well as the sound of the birds. I recommend visiting the place.

Very well located in the center with a terrace with views for days that you can enjoy. The steak on the menu is very good but a little small... if you're hungry, choose the hamburger. The delicious creme brulee

Went at noon. We had the daily menu on the terrace! Excellent and inventive cuisine, friendly and smiling staff, you feel good there! I recommend and would return!

I was very excited to visit this restaurant, but after all, from all the dishes we got I wasn't impressed by any of them. My expectations is my own problem I get it, but yet I expected something better. Sorry

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday and they decorated the dessert nicely with candles etc. Too adorable ! What they offered as a seasonal menu was super good!!

We ate there at the end of the day during the week. My homemade burger was really tasty and filling with my amber beer served in a coachman's glass. The service was very good just a small error on one of the beers. We had a great time.

Very warm welcome, delicious menu full of flavors and discoveries. As it was a box dinner and the room was full, it was quite noisy and it was very hot but the meal was worth it.

Pretty terrace. Friendly welcome. A big disappointment with the quantity on our plates. We ordered the menu for 59.-, the starter we had a few small and thin pieces of terrine. The Parisian entrecôte was served pre-cut (unheard of before) and its quantity should not exceed 120 gr! Makes you wonder where the other half went, on the neighbor’s plate?

As tourists, we visited the Old Town of Friborg and we came across this restaurant! The staff is very nice, they found us a table even though there were normally no free seats! I 1000% recommend this restaurant with local and seasonal cuisine and a breathtaking view of the Old Town. Favorite for this restaurant with the best quality/price ratio 😍

Friendly service, The Cordon Bleu was fantastic. Only recommended

Kitchen correct but not outstanding. The service is impersonal and tends to be unfriendly. Wine service is unprofessional. Had to wait over 40 minutes for dessert which is a typical mistake in the organization of the kitchen. The bill came wrong, from another table. In addition to all this, there was not a single word of apology. I'm an expert myself and unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. It's a shame because the location is unique.

Disappointed. Seasoned vegetables but too salty. We do not recommend crème brûlée with its strong egg taste. Waitress falsely smiling throughout the meal, but at the slightest remark, becomes unpleasant and dishonest with her attitude. For that alone, I wouldn't go back there again. At no time did anyone come to ask us if everything was okay. In addition, 3.5 hours of time passed between the start of the meal and the end.

Disappointed, bland green salad with an industrial white sauce?!? The trout fillet was very good. In terms of atmosphere, waitress not in a good mood and especially the unpleasant smell of overheated oil At 10 p.m. you feel too much. You go home and shower and put your clothes in the washing machine!!!

Having already been here 2-3 times, I have never been disappointed. The dishes served are delicious, the staff very professional, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the price is more than fair, the 5 stars are deserved for this establishment.

The welcome was repulsive, 1 table occupied, 4 waitresses and no one to come and seat us at our reserved table. During our entire evening there were 4 different waitresses with a haughty and nonchalant attitude. In addition the food is bland, a piece of beef costs 49chf with medium cooking while rare was requested plus nerves in the meat… The wine was good but we didn't have dessert in view of the previous services and we received a few black looks as if we were disturbing. We waited 25 minutes for the bill. Very unpleasant experience, although this restaurant amazed me a few years ago.

Friendly setting, welcoming staff, fast service. Downside: seasoning from the Asterix menu, starter too salty with the almost non-existent pheasant and ordinary dessert...not up to par for the price!!!

Having decided to make a getaway to our Friborg neighbors and randomly during our wanderings in the cantonal capital, we passed in front of the restaurant window. Noting that the setting looked nice and that many guests were seated there, we rushed in in our turn. We came out a good hour and a half later happy. Happy to have been served by young, smiling and helpful staff. Happy to have eaten very well and drank good wine. Glad to have had a good time. So, in a nutshell: we can only recommend this restaurant to you.

Familienfreundliches gemütliches Restaurant, einfache Speisekarte, kulinarisch kein Höhenflug, insgesamt jedoch ein gelungenes Erlebnis.

Excelente cuisine rapport qualité prix très correct. Accueil très chaleureux et serveuse très sympathique. Cadre magnifique avec une belle terrasse et belle vue. Nous recommandons ce restaurant.

Nous nous sommes rendus entre collègues pour un événement spécial dans ce restaurant. Nous n'avons pas lésiné sur les choses commandées : cocktails en apéritifs, bouteille de rouge, entrée (foie gras à 19.-), fondues chinoises à 39.-/personne et encore un plat de boeuf à 60.-... Alors la viande, excellente, rien à redire ! Par contre, très très peu dans l'assiette pour un plat à 60.- ... et pour les fondues chinoises, normalement, c'est une salade mêlée en entrée mais nous avons demandé de remplacer celle-ci par 4 entrées de foie gras. Le patron, devant nous, a refusé de baisser un peu le prix de la fondue chinoise alors que nous n'avons pas pris l'entrée prévue dedans ... pas très commercial quand on sait que l'addition était de plus de CHF 350.- ! Pour le service, serveuse à peine souriante et service très lent. On reviendra pour manger de la bonne viande mais surtout pas pour l'accueil et le service !

Très bonne adresse dans la vieille ville. L'accueil super sympa, ayant réservé sur la terrasse mais la météo incertaine, on me laisse le choix avec une table réservée aussi à la intérieur. Attention Très bien venue. Le menu excellent, service impeccable, les prix plus que correct. Bref une bonne soirée. On reviendra certainement.

Ein perfekter Abend! Wir wurden schon lange nicht mehr so herzlich empfangen. Service kompetent, fröhlich und zuvorkommend. Tolle Wein-Auswahl. Sehr gutes und liebevoll angerichtetes Essen. Und alles zu einem vernünftigen Preis in einem schönen Lokal. Eine der Top-Adressen in Freiburg!
