La Dolcevita in Locarno

I have been coming for ice cream for many years and practically from spring to the end of summer, almost every week we take a kilo to take away. The ice cream is the best in the Locarno area, in my opinion, so there's nothing to say. Today however, while I was getting my ice cream to take home, taking the Kilo, I was told that due to "company policy" you can choose 4 flavours. I find this absolutely ridiculous, they don't claim to have 25 flavors all by the teaspoon, but instead of putting 230 grams per flavour, maybe you put a little less but you can choose a few more flavours!!

Super delicious ice cream a little out of the way but within walking distance of the center. No tourist trap. I highly recommend the combination of dark chocolate and melon. Also good to take with you.

I've known this gelateria since 2002, when it opened. For me these are the tastiest gelati there is. The staff is also very nice and friendly. I like the quiet location anyway. Compliments to all the family. Vi ringrazio di eaters.

During our holidays in Ticino in recent years, we have come very often to eat ice cream at Dolce Vita and it must be said that the welcome has never been very friendly. The last time, when the owner handed the heavily loaded ice cream to our 6-year-old son, the cone broke and the ice cream literally spread all over the window! A very unpleasant moment of course for the person to whom it happens, without any empathy from the boss who even had the audacity to count the broken ice! By expressing our disappointment with his reaction, we just hear: “è il problema del cliente! ". So never again! It may be a good product, but with a service that is far from up to par and with a slightly anti-tourist atmosphere.

Magnificent ice-cream. One of the ice-cream stores where you feel the need to try all flavors at once. And buy couple of boxes for home. More than highly recommended!!!!

Here you can find the best gelati in Locarno! I love her. Many locals can be found here. There is a lot of activity until late in the evening. The prices are absolutely fair and the selection is large. By the way, the varieties change according to the season. You can also take large packs home with you; three container sizes are available.

Excellent ice cream... it's a shame that it doesn't have an internal location, while it does have a few chairs/benches for a few who want to linger on the spot... it's better to enjoy it while walking or in a tub at home within your own walls... anyway excellent quality ice cream

Great ice cream. We became aware of the special Farina bona variety that is available here because of a television program. It takes its name from an old corn flour that is produced in a mill in Ticino. The ice cream tastes like popcorn.

Always top! The choice of flavors is wide and is then updated weekly with new and seasonal flavors (e.g. fruit). A few days ago I was able to taste apricots... most surprising taste tasted in this new year 2019?! Pomegranate! Very good. But let's not forget the FARINABUONA ice cream! Go search on GOOGLE and be surprised with news about the inventor and the recipe! 😜

Definitely one of the best ice creams in Locarno, to get there the bus stop in S. Antonio is convenient, just a few steps away. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces and there are often cars parked on the pavement to get take-away ice cream.
