The food is really good in this restaurant which is the best in this area of ​​Chablais. From the different fondues to the Chalet's macaroni, all washed down with excellent wines. There is also a grill for barbecued meats. You can witness the making of local cheese and also visit the museum on the first floor. House specialty dessert: cooked wine cake, to be enjoyed with pleasure.

Nice place, it has a very nice museum and is the typical alpine mountain restaurant. The food was exquisite, the service took a long time to serve us, they seemed overwhelmed with a lack of staff but otherwise everything was fine.

Very rude service. We were waiting for 30mins, the waiter even not looking at us to take orders, he came to the people came after us for orders & he told us “You could leave if you could not wait”. Such a rude saying to customer, if you could not serve in a respectful way, pls dont accept customers in. Not recommended if you don’t want to ruin your day.

Very unfortunate the lack of politeness and kindness on the part of the waitress who obviously does not appreciate the presence of children. It is truly shameful that people with such a spirit and attitude are hired to manage a restaurant. Really a very bad choice on the part of the employee!

Always a pleasure to eat there :) raclette and fondue are great, bolet toast is amazing. Cheese making is fun to see and the museum is a great way for people that come to Leysin to see a bit of the history of Leysin while waiting for the food.

Don't forget to visit the museum. It's worth the detour.

My mother and I came here to spend our last evening in the region and absolutely love it! The food was a 12/10! Starter, main course and desert ‘creme brûlée’ were a dream! The service and atmosphere were friendly and made you feel comfortable. We recommend “La Fromagerie” wholeheartedly!

The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. It has several rooms. You can be alone or, on the contrary, be with many people. The food is varied, well prepared. The service is closer to the national one. From the restaurant hall there is a transition to a museum with a large number of exhibits of local life and a description of the history of the town - a ski resort. Have a good time

Excellent restaurant that I highly recommend. The staff is super nice and available. Which is appreciable with three young children, which is not the case in other establishments. We ate a shallot fondue which was to die for, the best we have ever eaten (and easy to digest). And I have to talk about the welcome salad and its exquisite vinaigrette. Plus a superb museum upstairs retracing the life of the village over the years with beautiful pieces (I love the still, almost a shame not to use it anymore...). We will come back for sure!

Beautiful characteristic environment, staff only speaks French, tomato fondue inedible

We ate a boletus fondue for 2 people (600 gr!!! be aware that 300 gr does the trick with the additional boletus stuffing for 34 francs). We had a large salad as a starter (lacking sauce but very good) and small tomatoes and cheese in two other small dishes (included in the price). The fondue was just sketchy I have never eaten one as good as this it was just delicious for my taste buds with so many flavors at the same time a perfect and surprising culinary tasting. I would recommend it without hesitation. Concerning the staff who were a little overwhelmed at times the wait was not too long, very kind still took the time to speak with you and joke with you. A discovery that was worth it especially since we were not from the region. Good luck with this restaurant, I will come back soon!

The restaurant is already worth it for its decoration. In fact, it is a restaurant + museum, which deserves a visit before, during or after the meal. The service is friendly, but nothing more. The fondue was okay. Prices are a little above normal. It seems that in the winter season, the city is invaded by tourists and this would explain the prices and the somewhat strict conditions that we can read in the menu. In any case, for the off-season, it's a very good option... almost the only one in a city that is extremely quiet during a summer night.

Great evening of experience. Impressive and lovely wooden house from the outside. Inside it continues with a lot of warmth and attention to rustic detail. Your steak is grilled to perfection on an open fire, (crispy-tender on the inside!), the side dishes, rösti and vegetables, fresh and very tasty! The Röstiburger was also a sensation, which we only ordered because we saw it at the neighbor's and it tasted at least as good as it seemed to us. In addition to the open fire, a wheel of cheese is made live in the large copper kettle every Friday until around April. Unfortunately we missed it on Saturday, but we'll definitely be back. The atmosphere with the live music from the nice lady really entertained our evening as young guests and ensured a lot of fun. You get a business card on which each guest can give her their song of choice. The best part of the whole evening and what really remains are exactly two people who not only offered us perfect, very competent service, no, they made us laugh and fascinated our hearts. We felt like we were staying with friends and not like paying guests. A huge compliment to the landlord for such an invaluable staff and a big THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart; Sonja & Manu! Book one day in advance for a group of 10 friends. The setting is nice, the dishes are good and affordable (the desserts are not crazy) the staff is very pleasant. For example, at 10 we have an addition of 550.- (cocktails, sharing platters, dishes, some desserts, drinks, wines) I recommend, especially the grilled meat

The fondue is delicious as well as the cheese crusts, very generous in quantity and price level, it's very affordable! We were in this restaurant over the New Year. The best fondue we have eaten so far. Starter (salad with bread and fresh herb butter) served by the restaurant & a carafe of water for free. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered 1l of white wine and were brought 2x 0.5l so that the wine could stay cooler. There is also a museum about Leysin in the Resti, which can be visited for free and is very educational! Thank you, gladly again!😄

Here is the must-see in Leysin. Restaurant with a very pleasant rustic mountain atmosphere. The welcome and sympathy of the owner quickly puts you at ease and is very appreciable. The dishes are delicious and very well presented, a special mention for the 3 egg omelette which is as sublime as it is good. You will find all the flavors of the mountains in a perfect atmosphere. A real moment of pleasure and indulgence!
