La Muña in Zürich

Unique design in the attic of the Hotel “La Reserve Eden au Lac”. The Peruvian cuisine of “La Muña” is extremely original and tasty. Especially in summer on the roof terrace “the place to be” in Zurich.

La Muna in Zurich, a rooftop Japanese/Peruvian restaurant, offers a cozy decor and good service, earning it a 3/5 rating. While the ambiance is inviting, the food, including the highlighted chicken bao, is deemed average and comes with a high price tag.

Lovely place. The food is not worth it's price, however the wine is so good that you dont mind. Also the Ambiente is quite nice.

Outrageous minimum spend per head, ridiculously strict cancellation policy and you are forced to order a set menu (what's the point as there are sharing plates anyway!). Is that the service offered in a 5 star hotel....put pressure and ripping off is not what you expect there...never again as the food is not even memorable, especially after all this "noise". Hateable "concept". Very nice terrace and view tho

Absolutely amazing Japanese/Peruvian restaurant. We ate cuisine of rare finesse and quality. Special mention for the Dragon Rolls and the Black cod. We had a blast!

Is it really necessary to beef up your invoice by systematically changing the year of the offered wines so you can change it price without advising? It happened twice and if the listed price is nearly half of what you afterwards charge, it is highly annoying…and a reason not to come any more to your restaurant unregardless how nice the setting might be!

We came here after the ballet to have a little something to eat and drink. We were thrilled by the ambience, the service and, last but not least, the quality of the food and drinks. We are in Zurich in a 5 star hotel so I know what to expect in terms of price! You treat yourself to it or you don't!

A really nice little restaurant above the roofs of Zurich's lake basin. The food and service were very well maintained and also a pleasure for two, nice opportunity to be close to each other at small tables. The ambience is in a beautiful old attic room made with great attention to detail. Compliments to the owners. We will be back and we would be happy to recommend it to others.

Wonderful ambience, inside and outside from the terrace. The cuisine, a mix between Peruvian and Japanese, is an experience best shared tapas style. Service is professional and attentive, price/performance is harmonious - a gem in Zurich!

An excellent restaurant at an excellent location. The roof top location is amazing in summer with a solendid view over Lake Zurich. But even inside the restaurant is very nice and the chalet style interior is super nice. Food is great Service ia very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great view of the rooftop bar. But for a 26.- cocktail I would have expected more than a small 2dl glass filled with ice cubes, which is more commonly used for water. Conclusion: overpriced

I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the cocktails, anyway for the price (26fr) served in a glass of water with just ice what a hell of decoration and presentation. The interior decoration is beautiful, the only thing I retained

Very beautiful restaurant both inside and outside during the late summer evenings. The view over Lake Zurich was gorgeous as expected. Very good vegetarian options and a huge thank you to Leo who took exceptional care of us. Very highly recommend coming here for a special occasion.

The taste of Asia in Zurich. Great place to enjoy an amazing meal with great views. The food was delicious. Flavours, presentation, service all fantastic. The staff very professional and all the time caring about us. The Italian chef came into our table and explain the dishes also the sommelier did same with the wines. Definitely we will back and we fully recommend this beautiful place.

Great restaurant in the best location in Zurich.

The atmosphere is good and the staff is very friendly, BUT charging 52 CHF for two Aperol Spritz is simply outrageous and unacceptable. The plan was to have dinner at your place, but after the Aperol I lost my hunger. I'm a Zurich resident myself and don't belong to the lower or middle class... and I don't recommend your restaurant to any tourist or Zurich resident just for a drink. The view of Lake Zurich and the city is no reason to charge such prices. The view from Fischers Fritz is much better and the Aperol Spritz is 11 CHF cheaper per glass.

What a chilled place overlooking the Zurich lake with amazing food and service: Gindara (black cod)and Crispy Maguro were delicious! Servers have been very attentive: I did not recall when 'it's his birthday' slipped of the tongue, a complimentary treat was arranged! There were two sides of terrace: the side we were at was slightly packed. However, it did not affect the evening. Would definitely love to visit again.

First the obvious: Location/view and atmosphere on the roof terrace are great. Service is friendly and good, but it could be better for 5 stars (I hope you are treated better as a hotel guest). You get the feeling that it's more about sales than hospitality. Which is also reflected in the food. Fusion food is all well and good, but what is offered is very weak. Tempura totally greasy, breading way too coarse - you get at least the same thing in every mediocre sushi restaurant. Signature Dish: Guacamole on rice; 32.- CHF for bad finger food. Again, fried rice not crispy enough and oily. I don't dare order anything else from the menu. Definitely only recommended for drinks.

We don't know what the problem was, the receptionist says it was full and it looked empty, she didn't let us go up to the terrace, for some reason and the most obvious one was Racism.

Excellent food. Absolutely delicious. Friendly service in an exclusive ambience. The rustic exclusive interior as well as the terrace with the wonderful view of Lake Zurich are a highlight at any time of year.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location directly on Lake Zurich and offers excellent Japanese-Peruvian cuisine. The Wagyu steak was particularly tasty and the mochi, although served without ice cream, were still very delicious. The restaurant is certainly one of the more expensive restaurants in Zurich, but it is worth every cent. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are generous. The combination of Japanese and Peruvian influences in the dishes is very interesting and innovative. However, I was particularly impressed by the staff, who were extremely friendly and attentive. The friendly service made our visit a very special experience. It's clear that the staff places a high value on customer satisfaction and goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. All in all, I can fully recommend the La Muna restaurant in Zurich. If you are looking for a special culinary experience then this is definitely the place for you. From the excellent Japanese-Peruvian cuisine to the friendly staff and the breathtaking location on Lake Zurich, the restaurant offers everything you need for an unforgettable meal.

Overrated, fish overall quite bad. Service pushing for expensive dishes and more and more plates. Miso soup was very good actually but a bit salty. Kingfish cevice was ok, good value for money and overall with a good texture, crunchy. Enought for 2 people even if service pushed for more and more plates. Sushi was extremely bad. The ebiten inside the dragon roll was not crunchy and the salmon on top tasted simply bad. Then we had the gyoza, extremely underwhelming, could not even taste the truffle. Octopus was bordeline not eatable. Tons on useless chinoa and the octopus while decently cooked was simply bad. Also every sauce was just mayo plus something for the whole dinner. Complimentary dessert was ok but hey we are in Zurich, I expect way more on chocolate

Exquisite dinner - the fish was super fresh and very good! All sauces tasted great, we literally asked for spoons to not leave a drop..

In short, we unfortunately had our worst food experience in Zürich. Their focus seems to be on selling the most possible to their customers at a high price and as fast as possible instead of focusing on quality. In the end, we left with stomach pain and no (desire for) dessert. The full story We were looking forward to a nice romantic evening, and started with a very nice glass of champagne. We were not particularly hungry, so we asked our waiter what she would recommend us. She said that the concept is sharing is caring and that the dishes are very small. We asked for her recommendation, and we initially planned to get two appetisers and two main dishes. But she said it was definitely not enough, and she recommended us to both get the gyozas and that we should get rice with our fish dish. Despite saying that we rather not have too much food. The appetisers were decent, but were a bit plain. After them, the gyozas were served with the main dishes. All at once, which we commented, as I had asked to get them separately, but they didn’t seem to care. We could hardly get through the two of the three dishes, and we would have been best off without one main dish and the rice. We ended up not eating about half of the main dish and the rice, and felt like throwing up. I told them that I was disappointed in their service and their “overselling”. As we both felt too full, and I felt like throwing up, we sent the food back, asked for the bill and got an uber home. The waiter supposedly spoke with her manager, but he did not seem to care enough to come by and talk to us, or remove the dish we didn’t finish. She did apologise and offer us a free coffee, that we declined, as we both had stomach pain and just wanted to go home. The stomach pain still persisted till the next day. In the end, it was both an expensive and disappointing experience, and definitely last time we visit la muña. It is a shame, as the interior is really nicely done and the champagne to start with was delicious.

Excellent food in a very elegant setting. It's an upscale place and we went there for my birthday. I enjoyed the spicy tartar on the crispy rice cakes.

I was taken here by a Chinese friend recently who had freshly moved to Zurich and wanted to check out the place. We started our evening off downstairs in the bar which was absolutely exceptional. Perfect drinks, service and atmosphere. First thing we noticed once we headed up to the restaurant was an overpowering smell of truffles. This didn't seem like a very Peruvian ingredient to us. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service was very helpful at helping us navigate the menu. In the end we orded the kingfish cevice, the crispy baby spinach as well at both the kimchi and the chicken gyōza. As an amuse bouche we were greeted by a miso soup, served with a metal tea spoon. The kingfish cevice was possibly the best dish we had here. The flavours were balanced and the sauce was delicious. The baby spinach was just drenched in truffle oil and the chicken gyōza covered in so much truffle you could barely see the actual dumplings on the platter. I love truffles and add them to all sorts of things in my own cooking and order these sorts of things frequently in restaurants. But here it was just overpowering. My friend was absolutely certain that the gyōzas were the frozen kind by a brand called Bibigo. All the truffle was only there to justify an absurd price point. To summarize, I think the bar downstairs is well worth it. They have a lovely cozy atmosphere and some nice drinks. Just maybe skip the restaurant.

Mega ambience, cozy like nowhere else. So really, really nice location, a definite must see! Quality of the food is excellent, service is top! However, it's not cheap for those with heavier wallets. Paid 180 CHF for two with 3 small courses (they recommend 6), a Hugo, a bottle of water, no wine. So you should have been there and can come again, but be careful, plan a good budget.

I ordered the hamachi ceviche and the black cod. While I love the sauce on the ceviche I thought it overpowered the fish (not sure if that’s the intention). Black cod is well executed but is a pretty “standard” dish these days. One thing I would call out for is the chocolate ganache - absolutely delicious

Most overpriced restaurant in Switzerland 2 sushi rolls and some spinach and no drinks - 250 CHf Even best fusion restaurants do not charge that much 45-60 in average for one average sushi roll, nothing special at all Intérieur design is cool, chairs are too low and uncomfortable Went for the hype but I defo recommend no one to go there

The menu was great, it reminded me of my favourite Sushi Samba restaurant in New York. Beautiful view and attentive crew. Be prepared to pay a hefty price for all of the above

Food is good, but not more than in less overpriced places

The best thing about this restaurant is the cozy nautical/alpine interior design and architecture. The food is ok but definitely cannot justify the price no matter how much liquid nitrogen is used in its presentation. The service was underwhelming, we had to request an espresso twice before it was finally delivered.

La Muna offers Japanese-Peruvian specialties. Installed on the sixth floor of the majestic and elegant La Réserve Eden au lac building, in the renovated attic, under the spectacular dome of the hotel, it displays a very popular, offbeat and impertinent decor. The exposed woodwork, period floors, comfortable leather or vintage floral fabric sofas, and brick walls decorated with photos evoking the world and navigation contribute to the intimacy of the place. And the cherry on the cake, it has a rooftop offering a 360-degree view of the city, the lake and the Alps.

I have lived in Japan and been to Peru, so know both cuisines. La Muña provides a decent experience with very good service. But the food is not exceptional given the price point. The best dish was the Gindara (black cod with miso), but again I have had it better before. We did not enjoy the ceviche much, the pulpo and eggplant were ok. Overall, the experience and price point are not in the right balance. You can eat better for less or better for the same price. Points for the service which is really attentive!

Price-performance is very questionable. The food was really good, but the prices were extremely outrageous. I don't think the concept is sustainable

First class experience from food to service and restaurant/hotel environment ! We had the Dragon Roll, chicken Gyoza with truffle and Crispy Rice Cake. All the dishes were amazing, especially the Dragon Roll and rice cake ! Everyone in the hotel from hotel main door to the concierge are warm and welcoming. Especially in La Muna, everyone is warm, friendly and professional with a touch of prestige dining experience. A special thank you note to Mr Clement from La Muna, who took care of our table. He is warm, friendly and made our experience a memorable one. He is sincere in nature and looked after our needs. The taste is amazing. The outdoor seating is excellent. I asked the waiter to ask a question about how to eat. Excellent. I liked the variety. Sushi plate and vegetables served as possible. Friendly and welcoming, pleasant and quiet place. I recommend a visit

Wonderful location by the lake with an amazing view… even though the weather didn’t permit us to sit outside, we still enjoyed our drinks and a smoke overlooking the scenery. The service is impeccable, both waiters explained perfectly the menu and provided excellent advises. The food is great! The ceviche could be tastier, but not something to complain about. The warm starters are yummy and highly recommended, while the mochis are not exactly what I expected. I’d definitely come back to this cosy warm chalet style restaurant and enjoy a great service and tasty dishes, well done La Muña and Eden Team!!! 👏👏👏

Great view and service very nice and professional. The food was ok, but with little sophistication and nothing extraordinary (lots of raw fish, I didn't understand the combinations with the truffle). Prices are 5-star Zurich level. In my opinion the tables are much too small. (How about an amuse bouche?)

We had a lovely afternoon on the terrace of the La Mūna restaurant. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the beautiful Hotel Eden au Lac with two aesthetic terraces that offer wonderful views of Lake Zurich. The food was very tasty, but the price-performance ratio is inadequate (the portions are quite small and simply made - we expected something special) The service was very nice and professional. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone!

Beautiful place right next to Zurich lake. Loved the Swiss ambiance inside. Staff very really polite and nice. One star less because the cocktails menu is very small and basic, not really inspiring for a place of this caliber. Quite disappointed and combined with ultra high prices for me is just not enough to impress. Prices are definitely not justified. I also saw spider on the fence 😂😂😂

Let's get one thing out of the way: it's pricey! What do you get for it? Excellent food, wine and hospitality/service. The terrace is great with stunning views. The concept of sharing dishes is perfect for that special dinner with your loved one(s). Really good experience.

Beautiful chalet design and beautiful outdoor space when it’s not raining. Creative take on Peruvian and Japanese fusion. Love the use of Rocoto Pepper, Peruvian hot pepper. Oyster’s were great size and absolutely delicious. Plates were small for their price point.

The Food is amazing, but it's to expencive to be worth it.

Unfortunately this place wasn't up to my standards in terms of service and customer care. They managed to not understand a simple order and serve in my food something i was allergic as well (after clearly stating it). Neither the authenticity of a Peruvian cuisine which was more Japanese than Peruvian. The price as well was extremely high for what has been delivered... :/

As a Peruvian I can say that this is not Peruvian food, it is more Japanese than Peruvian.

The food is very good but the size of the dishes are very small, so always end up hungry and ordering more food. The view of the terrace is amazing.
