La Perla in Thun

I was there with my family a long time ago. The restaurant looks very nice and the ambience is good. The waiters are also friendly... I ordered pizza frutti di Mare because I love it more than anything... The result was diarrhea the whole evening... once and never again.

The Margherita pizza was a disgrace. This was never from a pizza oven.

Good and fast service. There were 16 of us and we all got our food at the same time.

The cuisine is quite good and of high quality, the service is on the other hand expeditious and lacks professionalism, not to mention the difficulty of being understood in a language other than Swiss-German. The interior room is cold and lacks a little love, the exterior terrace seems much more interesting but obviously complete.

OK in terms of price, but the food was extremely bad and had nothing to do with Italian food.

I drank a coffee there today and then used the toilet in the basement. Halfway down the stairs, I almost took my breath away. It smelled so bad of urine! I have never experienced something like that. Given this hygienic emergency, I'm glad I didn't eat anything there. I will never enter the restaurant again. Something so disgusting should actually be closed immediately. Ugh!!

Fast lunch service and good selection of different menus. The menu salad wasn't exactly generous, but good and the Carnonara pizza was also fine.

The location would be perfect (directly on the Aare). We were a larger group (pre-registered) and didn't feel welcome... Some of the service staff understand little or no German, which makes it difficult to order. What you noticed with the starter, many of us ordered the nut salad with Italian sauce, all came with French sauce... When the "new" salad came, French sauce was still visible, so the sauce was simply washed off and swapped . The food is average, the starter was rather small and the price-performance ratio is not right. When we visited on a Friday, we were the only guests for a long time and the many staff were just standing around out of boredom. I will no longer be a guest there.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it once was. Unprofessional and no longer a tradition. It's a shame, I used to really like La Perla.

Me and my husband and our 17 year old daughter ate there for the first time, the food was fine, I've eaten much better, the worst came later, all three of us had to vomit and that was a shame for the money we paid The whole evening we ate again and we felt very bad, so I would be careful with the main menu, I don't recommend it and I'll never go there again

Beautiful location on the Aare, cozy, fine food, always very friendly and courteous service, very nice staff! The boss was also present during a visit. However, we felt the atmosphere was stressed and that was exactly how the boss seemed to us. We didn't feel very welcome.

Top experience :)) the food is delicious and the portions are generous. The pizzas are average. The freshly made egg pasta is amazing. We ate inside, but the terrace directly on the Aare invites you to enjoy it. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll definitely come back here.

Bad and unfriendly service, bad food, I'm not satisfied at all.

I was there in May 2022 with a colleague from Thun. I thought the food was very good, but I think the service could still be improved. The ambience is good but still has potential for improvement. This restaurant will remain in my memory forever. 😊

More than disappointing experience. Good service, the guys were more than kind and professional. I can't say the same about the service manager, she proved to be very rude and rude, both towards customers and towards the staff. The food was not good at all, we took a plate of lemon gnocchi, completely overcooked and which tasted very little of lemon, and a simple pizza, which was very thin and small to be a "large pizza" (since there it is the option to also have the small one). we will definitely not return and super not recommended.

The location is very nice, the staff ok, not super friendly either. The food, on the other hand, is not good Italian cuisine. She is happy to eat, but a little special: - bruschetta having no flavor - seafood salad without sauce, I had oil and vinegar available to make it myself. I would also have done without Surimi…. - special features like lychees on a pizza or a slice of mango in gnocchi Bolognese…

Nice location, nice terrace on the Aare. Unfortunately a bit careless, you don't really feel welcome as a guest…

Location is great. Food was very good. Service, yeah. Rude.. At 10:35 p.m. she was at our table without being asked with the bill, we have to pay now. She wanted to do your checkout.. because the restaurant will be closing in 25 minutes. Okay in itself, but you could have had a coffee and brought in sales. Instead, she wanted to sit at a table inside and play on her phone until everyone went out... too bad.

The food has no taste And very expensive

Unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. One of the waitresses was very unfriendly!! When we asked after 1 hour how long it would take… they blamed us “we would have ordered too late” very cheeky!!

The food was so-so. There were fruit flies swimming in my drink (probably from the orange) Conditions were nice but not well managed. The location is great because it's right on the Aare, but that doesn't make the food any better. A pity

The service was unfriendly! After ordering we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes. wait for the food. When we asked the waitress after an hour if our food was coming soon, she replied that it was our fault. We would have ordered too late... We skipped dessert because we didn't want to wait another hour!!

The place and the view are beautiful, but the food is bad. The saffron risotto with shrimp was bad and did not cook, and the shrimp was very small, which I did not like. We found a hair in the pizza and we alerted her. She flattened herself in surprise, saying that the hair was a man’s hair, and those in the kitchen were all women, and I saw men coming out of the kitchen, and their service was very slow. The waiters don't speak English. Very uncooperative if you don't speak German

Price/performance inadequate. Portions too small. The pasta was too average for an Italian and any housewife would have cooked it better. It's a shame...the location is very pretty and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately we no longer visit this restaurant.

Fine food and very nice service

Very nice restaurant, friendly service, we were there at 3 p.m. The waiter gave us a nice table with a view of the Aare. He specifically cleared a table that had already been set for the evening. The three of us ordered a pizza, no problem, it was cut into 12 pieces and it was just perfect. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Good day! I would like to share my feedback and emotions about La Perla restaurant. Very tasty and beautifully presented food, I was pleased that I didn't have to wait like in other establishments, orders were brought quickly. Excellent waiters, personable, smiling, competent and do their job perfectly. The prices correspond to the quality. I recommend to everyone. If you want to spend your evening in a simple, fun and delicious way, I recommend you visit La Perla restaurant.

nice place - not too posh, but rather elegant. Unfortunately, they didn't refine the marron puree (vermicelles) with cherry brandy (Kirsch) as they should have... tenderloin of lamb was good.

Unfortunately, the waiter seemed very annoyed with us even though we were there at a normal time. Food was okay at best. You can get much better pizza for the price in Switzerland. Ambiance was okay but nothing more. Aare was still beautiful through the window.

One of the waitresses was unpleasant for no apparent reason, the pizza was good but the dough was hard. The steak entrecôte was mediocre.. very average, however, the ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach was delicious. Would have given this 4 star if the hospitality was better.

The receptionists were warm and welcoming compared to dealing with other restaurants. My request is as follows. Mix salad was good. The spaghetti bolognese pasta was delicious. A place to feel good and enjoy excellent food. I appreciate that there isn't too much choice on the menu. Italian food at a very high level. Uncomplicated and like in “bella Italia”. The location, directly on the Aare in Thun, is excellent. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and invites you to get together and linger. The service is attentive and friendly. You could even think that the pizzas are made by real Italians.

I was looking forward to a piece of meat with garlic butter like it says on the menu. A small, thin piece of meat came with cream sauce. At home I had to eat something because I was still hungry. If you type "garlic butter" into Google you'll see about 150 photos, which is what I expected. But what really bothers me is this clearing away while the guest is still eating. The drink is poured and cleared away. Since Corona, this has been a tactic to put pressure on customers to buy. Nobody likes sitting at Tiach with just one glass.

Although it's "just" a Frutti di Mare pizza, it's an absolute culinary delight. Seat directly on the Aare, very nice and cozy atmosphere. Thanks also to the waiter, very attentive and accommodating 👍🏻

Nice terrace, but when it comes to food: price/performance is not right (very small green salad with ready-made sauce for 9.50 (!) and pasta) is not right. Very expensive, quality average and I left hungry. Staff lacks warmth and flair for guests. Was very disappointed.

We were 6pers. When received it was still OK. :) When we were choosing our food, two waitresses were looking at us and talking all the time. At first we thought it was definitely about the service, but there was obviously a lot of gossip - it was ridiculous! 2 the food of 2 people (spaghetti) was literally HORRIBLE Carbonara was tasteless but my sister didn't want to say anything .. Spaghetti Fartufo was watery so things like that can be eaten better in a snack bar 😅 The pizzas were still good that's why the 2 stars but honestly Tip from me, get Decent Cooks pure disappointment today..

I agree with Helin Pinar's review. Service was okay, but I didn't feel welcome. Pizza was, well, you could eat it. The taste of the spaghetti was simply a disaster, unfortunately we didn't dare report this. To be honest, I wouldn't go there again. Unfortunately, the Geburi child wasn't happy either. Do yourself a favor and don't go there. Not recommended!!

A very nice, clean (including toilets) well-maintained restaurant, friendly service, excellent food and prices commensurate with the quality and location. Only the staff would have to be instructed not to serve across the table, but always to the side of the guest. Otherwise really great.

Very friendly service - pleasant atmosphere. Risotto with veal liver - Risotto was fine, still a bit grainy. Veal liver hard as a rock and tastes 1 star. Tried a piece of liver. Very small portion of veal liver. Dessert Panna Cotta tastes excellent as it is prepared. A free coffee would have been a nice gesture...
