La Rustica in Zürichsee (ZH)

Excellent food, meat, fish, pasta, sauces all very tasty and fresh and prepared with love. Top service and real Italian cuisine. We'd love to come back.

Pizza with king prawns: unfortunately the prawns were so small and chopped up that you could hardly find them (most likely frozen), and you paid 27fr for them, pizza wasn't worth the price. Otherwise it was OK.

Spaghetti as a main course portion should be larger than what is served. That irritated me a bit. The taste was good and the buffalo mozzarella was also delicious, but there were only four tomato slices with it. Why do you save so much on the quantity? At least there is still pizza bread with it but still. Service is friendly and attentive. The ambience in the restaurant is okay. Listening to Italian catchy tunes at dinner is a matter of taste. There are parking spaces directly in front of the house. We ended up paying CHF 100 and were disappointed with the quantity. That's why there are only three stars for the food. The grappa offered was a nice ending :)

Very bad experience. Price/performance catastrophe :( Lunch for 100.00 per person, watery minestrone and cold platters, mainly with eggplant. New experience but never again. Not recommended, please avoid. Which schnitzel? Only cold plate, no veal schnitzel and CHF 100 per person !!!Owner doesn't take the truth too seriously :-(

I visited the La Rustica restaurant and found a very family atmosphere and chef Danilo's cuisine is a delight. Absolutely worth a visit! Well done!!

We were with a group of 35 people and were more than happy with the food and the service, everything was top notch, the price/performance ratio was also right here, but you shouldn't forget that everything has become very expensive and the catering industry isn't having it easy, so boys do it keep it up and good luck, we will definitely be back…

After a long time I returned to this restaurant and again they surprised me with good food, service and a very nice place. I recommend it 💪💪💪

It was the worst meal I ever had in my life. We paid 90CHF for a basic soup and chicken or turkey escalope with penne all'arrabiata. To drink just still and sparkling water, nothing more. It's a shame, don't go! Since the restaurant decided to call me a liar, I add a picture of the main course dish to show what we really had and give the opportunity to any potential customer to take a decision to visit or not La Rustica. I hope restaurant's manager learns something with this review and stop cheating tourist groups.

The food there was great, the staff extremely friendly and the wine selection is just amazing. We even got one for back home. Definitely stopping by next time we’re in Zurich.

The service is very fast at lunchtime, the food is of average quality. OK for a quick lunch, but you can get much better Italian food in the greater Zurich area at these prices.

When we reserved a table for Mother's Day evening, we were not informed that you can only order a menu and not à la carte (menu: soup or salad, main course and dessert, plus drinks for CHF 55), although there are various on the menu boards in front of the entrance Dishes were offered. Price-performance ratio was not okay. We won't be returning.

We were warmly welcomed for lunch. Ordering and service was very efficient. We didn't have too much time either. Food was very good, served on warm plates.

Unfortunately we were disappointed Unfortunately, the quality of the food is only mediocre by Swiss standards. Unfortunately, the pasta with porcini mushrooms was quite tasteless and greasy. The lasagna was soaked in sauce and unfortunately the taste wasn't convincing either.

Cozy Italian restaurant with super fine food! From the pasta (recommendation Spaghetti alle Vongole) to pizza, everything is very tasty. The landlord and the staff are extremely hospitable and you just feel comfortable. I can only recommend the Rustica restaurant and we will definitely eat there again soon!

La Rustica is a nice family restaurant. The soups were excellent and the service was very good. In the other room, as can be seen in the pictures, there are many Italian products and delicacies.

Unfortunately they can't make coffee. Regardless of whether it's a cappuccino or a latte, it's a real shame. But when you take over a restaurant as a farmer's child, you mistakenly make the cappuccino with cocoa and 70/20, which is different from the original. In any case, it was inedible for you again. The local is somewhat overdone in Italian bric-a-brac. The menu is so extensive that it is numbered through like in China, thus way too many different dishes for my taste. The starter was excellent, however the mains were a big disappointment, the meat was not tender, the side dishes were simply a disaster - not Italian at all! I cannot understand the many positive critics.

Visited shortly after the opening. Very positively surprised. Inconspicuous from the outside, but well-kept, tasteful interior and carefully designed menu. Manageable but finely compiled wine selection. Unobtrusive, attentive service with a motivated boss who you can feel wants to build something here. Absolutely convincing price-performance ratio. For now, an insider tip. We'll definitely come back.
