At Pentecost we enjoyed the menu: Lamb tataki, green papaya salad, peanuts and wasabi Seared scallops, orzotto with herbs and peas Royal sea bream fillet with saffron, green asparagus from Delley and polenta from Vully The food was excellent, the side dishes were extremely cleverly put together, and the portions were generous. Plus a rosé from Mont Vully and the sunset over Lake Neuchâtel. The service was patient and attentive despite the large crowds (Whitsun, nice weather). A discovery, we will come back!

1:30 p.m.: arrival on site and taking a table on the terrace (half-flat terrace, I should add). 1:45 p.m.: “ice cream menu please”. 2:05 p.m.: “2 coffees and 2 glasses of ice cream” (The waitress takes the order by writing on her hand 🤣) 2:20 p.m.: the waitress comes to ask us if we have made our choice. 2:45 p.m.: the two coffees arrive and the waitress tells us that the ice creams will follow in a minute. 3:05 p.m.: two cups of melted ice cream 😅 3:15 p.m.: “the bill please, with the card”. 8:45 p.m.: the prophecy says we are still waiting for the bill Brief catastrophic service

The location is really great, the prices are normal. Service doesn't work at all. Waited 1.5 hours for the food. (Remaining half full) Staff work with torn and dirty clothing. Food is good, but you would expect a little more from a restaurant like this. Never again. It's a shame, the view is fantastic

After more than a year we decided to come back for dinner. Unfortunately still only 50%, because of the poor service: annoyed, arrogant and unfortunately still with a long waiting time! It seems relatively clear to us: what is a Gault Millau restaurant doing on a campsite?!? It's a shame, the food overall (including presentation) would be great. But you can't shake the feeling of being unwanted and disruptive to the service 🙁

“Entrecôte” cooked for 24 hours, fried medium: Haha. This choice was simply cruel: the meat was wet on the inside (poor quality), the cooking level was chosen incorrectly (temperature too low), the piece had no taste (at most like a stable) and was also tough as leather and poorly seared on the outside: A complete failure: I feel so sorry for the poor animal. But the rice side dish really matched the meat - complete mush. I hope the chef comes back from the summer holidays soon. And yes: you should have a menu in your hands within 15 minutes of arrival, without any questions or excessive haste. But the weather was nice, hence 2 stars.

Bad service in the morning. If you're not sitting at a table that's set, like a coffee or something like that If you want to drink, you will simply be ignored. So hardly an order is possible; Apparently they don't even know a greeting there! Why are there still such rests when only certain customers are welcome?

The setting is idyllic (view of the lake), with a large terrace, and the interior is very pretty too. We went to eat on a busy day, the restaurant was packed. Despite this, we were surprised to find waiters readily available, pleasant and smiling. We were served quickly given the crowd. The food was also very good. The dishes are a little more expensive than average but given the quality that didn't even bother us. THANKS!

Evening meal on Saturday June 25, 2022. Pleasant setting and beautiful terrace. Meal good. However, the service provided by the person in charge of our table was poor. We have been here several times and the service was good. However, upon our arrival the menu and wine lists are placed on the table without any comment. Not a smile, not a little word to welcome us. We order an aperitif. Aperitif served, but we had to call the person back 20 minutes later to take our order for the main course. The way the drinks are placed on our table is unlike anything, no style, no memorization of which of us 2 ordered the red wine or the white. At the end of the main meal, the waitress literally throws the dessert menu on our table, without a word or a look. My wife was almost shocked. When this person comes to order dessert, we finally tell them that we won't have any. And she seems upset about our decision. I ask him for the bill and bring me the bill from another table. I will then pay at the bar to express our disappointment with this deplorable customer service which destroys everything that the rest of the team does in the kitchen and in the establishment. The person to whom I reported our disappointment offered us the establishment's apologies and listened attentively to our comments. A great example that the quality of staff and service is essential in all businesses.

Very disappointed. We ate a starter for 200 francs. Too bad the setting is magnificent but it's better to go to the Bateau restaurant, the value for money is much better.

Always excellent dishes and a place with a view of the lake that is simply incredible! On the other hand, during our last visit the service was less good (when ordering we were not offered the wine list nor made any suggestions, concerning the remains of the tapenade that we could take away, the waitress "lost it" " even though we had asked for it when they took it back (and didn't even offer to give us an equivalence, for the price of 13.- it's nonsense).

Eaten a dish with fresh fish and seasonal asparagus. The fish was good but there were only 3 asparagus on the plate. At least a few vegetables were delivered as requested

Excellent restaurant! Passing through Portalban, I let myself be tempted by their fish of the day: Salmon trout from Lake Neuchâtel (which is rather rare), with a little "Japanese" sauce with wakame seaweed, lime (or limes) and this I don’t know what makes this dish delicious! A bit too salty for my taste... Their fries are the best in a hundred miles around. They also make absolutely gorgeous cheeseburgers and their desserts are definitely worth the detour. It smells of fresh produce and inventive cuisine. Located at the end of the port, this restaurant is very well placed. Beautiful terrace in summer. They have a beautiful cellar and a very nice choice of spirits (armagnacs, cognacs, scotches, agricultural rums, etc.). Try the “blanc de noir” from Vallamand, it is a wine of rare quality. The prices are fair and the plates are well stocked. In short, it's a must-see restaurant if you're in the area. Only "negative" point: The salad sauce, some "French dressing"... but it seems that people like that. A good vinaigrette with 2-3 pieces of fresh onion and a seasonal salad would go so much better!

The best there is far and wide; directly on the lake and at the sailing harbor, with a view of Montvuille etc. Simply a fabulous area with a large sandy beach, campsite, sports sailing, tennis, diving, swimming etc

Very little food for a lot of money. The plates were very clear. The mixed salad was a disappointment. 4 green leaves with about 5 small diced something and watery, tasteless sauce. The beef tartare was also tasteless. Catastrophe! The icing on the cake was the smell from the harbor. The owners of the boats dumped their feces in the immediate vicinity.

I was disappointed with the food and wondered why this restaurant received 13 Gault-Millau points. The fish was just dry and the rice was boring. The salad was extremely sour and carelessly designed. When it comes to the panna cotta, I am of the opinion that it was manufactured industrially. You won't find any taste here. The service was nice and the view was nice. It's certainly ok for a coffee or aperitif, but I wouldn't come back just to eat.

There's no denying that the food is pretty good there, that's a fact. However, the prices are a little excessive compared to the quantity on the plate and the waiters seem a little overwhelmed and it is complicated to call them to ask them for something (especially when they forget to bring us certain things). Regarding the location, it's great and the view of the lake is perfect. In short, to try it once but we are not sure we will return one day. (I would have given it 3.5 but it still deserves 4 rather than 3)
