La Sarcelle in Cheyres-Châbles

Very good restaurant directly on the lake. The dishes are good but not cheap. Pretty terrace in summer and well oriented towards the Jura. Efficient service but not always the most friendly. Free parking on the street towards the station.

Four of us came there this Sunday lunchtime. The place is welcoming. Bringing the cards, the friendly waiter tells us that there is also a menu for 56 francs including a mushroom puff pastry as a starter, perch fillets for the main course, and a chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was really perfect, served very hot (except the dessert, of course), on very hot plates too. It's really nice to eat good home cooking. I repeat, everything was really excellent! Just like her colleague, the waitress is also friendly and professional. So, we feel really good here. The place is definitely worth the detour, and a big shout out to the cuisine, too.

Cheyres (FR): after a visit to the Port and its many well-moored boats on the right side and on the left side, there is its beautiful beach on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, which is a little rough, we come to the friendly Restaurant “La Sarcelle” to quench our thirst! With the sun always welcome, many families are taking advantage of swimming and sunbathing on this Sunday afternoon, 07.30.2023!

We went there 3 times in 1 month, to give it a chance and the 3rd was the worst. We were there for a birthday which was announced upon arrival for a candle for dessert, nothing happened even though the tables on each side of ours arrived well after and were entitled to the "famous candle" , ours would have been for an 82 year old lady... too bad... an endless wait between meals. Servers scattered at all the tables but friendly, that’s at least…. Leave a tip, we don't know to whom... our mishap was reported to the person in charge of the tables at the addiction pmt, but it didn't seem to be a problem for him. Without detailing the mishap of the first 2 times… too bad because the price is there. Even the bottle cost Fr. 50.00 we had to ask to be served it for the first glass, then NIETTE… very disappointed and this is not bad faith.

Let yourself be tempted by an aperol spritz on the superb terrace on a weekday lunchtime, the staff is super welcoming, the daily menu is exceptional for just 32.- starter, main course, dessert, My husband went fishing in the lake, what a pleasure to eat fresh fish…thank you for this good time and see you soon 🥰

We have a cocktail before receiving the starters except that they serve us the starters and the cocktail at the same time and found that normal! then we wait very long or even too long before moving on to the main meal. We ordered 3 syrups for our children, received 20 minutes later! The perch fillet is 44.- not bad but lacks vegetables and taste, they are much better with mallard in Yvonand. The children's menu at 18.- is limited in quantity for children aged 8. I find the price generally more expensive than elsewhere for more taste and less waiting. Basically I'm not going to travel a second time to eat there. The positive point is the setting which is beautiful

Very very very service and much too slow.. 40 minutes before taking the order for aperitifs and drinks for the rest. Good food. Way too much stuff on the bar. A real mess... We saw the cookies too late. In short, we will not return there despite the setting

Crowded atmosphere. The service is simply catastrophic 1h30 to eat. 45min to clear plates. We still haven't left the table after more than 2h30!!! For fish and salad.

I really like the layout of the restaurant. The only downside is that we often have to wait too long to be served.

Group meal, 60 people, menu chosen in advance, the beef steak was in fact a steak, (ro de) the meat was tough, full of nerves....and everything was served cold., very unpleasant ! We had entertainment between each course, so it was easy to manage. It was good, but I wouldn't go back, disappointed, the value for money is not there.

A great restaurant with a magnificent terrace by the lake. We have eaten several times this year at La Sarcelle and we have been very happy each time. We also had our wedding aperitif there and it was really good.

Also completely ignored. After 30 minutes of waiting and asking, we left. Wanted a cafe. It wasn't dinner time and staff had had enough - strange. Pity. Strange.

A very poorly managed restaurant which causes very long waits throughout the meal. The staff does what they can with the situation, the owner has a good time with her children at the table instead of helping her cook who manages the meals, desserts and the bar alone. However the food was good. It’s such a shame not to take more care of such a beautiful place.

Great location, great food and incredibly friendly service! My wife is allergic to curry, unfortunately the salad had a house curry sauce. When we mentioned this, a new salad with oil and balsamic vinegar was immediately served!! Big compliment for that! P.s. to everyone who wasn't served: 1. Should you ask for the table, 2. Is French also an advantage in Romondie. We'd love to come back

What a beautiful place...unfortunately my plans to end the day relaxing with good wine fell through...after 30 minutes. Still no service or. Card...an order was taken next door, I was completely ignored. I then left. Whoever runs this restaurant can neither organize nor train staff. It's a shame that the field here isn't being left to an up-and-coming restaurateur who understands what hospitality is all about.

The place is magnificent, however we waited 1h30 between the time we arrived and the main course. The quality of the dishes is not up to the price: industrial fries, soft industrial toast with tartare... The coffee tour was offered as an apology!

I give 4 stars for the cuisine but the service is really not great.... the staff was lost for 40 minutes for the aperitif I know that their times are not very easy but good organization with such short training would have been favorable for both the customer and the staff.

Disappointed, lukewarm or hot white wine, slow service, very slow. Disappointing perch fillets, we weren't able to eat at the same time as the children. Our order was forgotten. In short, there will be no next time.

The menu is varied, the cuisine tasty and the setting very pleasant. On the other hand, the waiting time is far too long. 20 minutes on the terrace before having a waitress and another 15 minutes for the order. Damage! Especially since the terrace is not filled at all.

Waiting time too long. 30 minutes on the terrace, we had to go and order directly because no one was coming. Too bad considering the frame and the card.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more gorgeous location so spoiled by bad service and mediocre food. Of course the prices are high (it’s a tourist location in Switzerland), but one would hope the offerings would make it worthwhile. The perch was fine, the tartare was not fine, being very spicy despite being ordered ‘medium spicy.’ The children’s dishes were laughable in terms of size and the ‘boule’ of ice cream offered with it was actually a popsicle. That would all be regrettable but ok if only the service hadn’t been so absolutely appalling. After waiting a half hour for menus, we then had to wait another half hour for someone to take our order. They only eventually came after we’d asked three people to help us and were told “you are not assigned to me.” After we’d ordered, the food took more than ANOTHER HOUR to arrive. That meant we waited over two hours in total for our food. Needless to say, the children were extremely unhappy. The server offered us Limoncello as an ‘apology’ be as we were driving and very much wanted to leave, we mostly didn’t even partake. As a final note, two of our party were stung by the swarms of wasps that also inhabit the patio. Definitely won’t be back.

Very poor service experience which really spoils the culinary immersion. After ordering an appetizer, we had to wait 1 hour (yes you read correctly 1 hour) before a server took our order. On top of that, it was we of our own accord who had to call him since he had clearly forgotten us. Not an excuse from themselves, waiting another 30 minutes to clear out after the meal. I find this total lack of organization a shame, even though the dish is delicious. The waiter still offered us a coffee at the end to apologize for the long wait. In short, my opinion simply confirms the negative points already mentioned by other customers of this restaurant previously.

Very pretty place by the lake. Decent service. Originally came for the perch fillets, but when I was told that they came from Poland (a shame given the proximity of the lake) I went for a tartare. The tartare was good, the fries were not homemade, the dessert was well presented and good. Value for money, a little expensive for the quality of the products offered.

The setting is great, the staff very friendly. The only problem: the food. Way too expensive for the quality and quantity. Nothing on the plate, no sauce to accompany certain dishes, a “magret” which is actually a “half breast” plate finished in 5 minutes. Damage.

45min to be served... we had to change tables to be seen

Sometimes great, sometimes flop. From one day to the next, from friendly to snarky, from tasty to burnt.

Staff wasn't very friendly, waiting times were very long: à la carte, waited about 30 minutes to order. Then another 40 minutes until the food was at the table. The food and location were great.

For a camping/beach restaurant, there is a lack of parasol

Too bad you have to ask several times to get the menu card after 15 minutes. The waiters seem to be going back and forth empty and not managing. I wish you better organization of the service. After ordering, the dish was served very quickly and was excellent.

Another favourite restaurant in Cheyres. 😉 Their cuisine is well varied and sumptuous, even the kids enjoy ! The international background of the staff is very nice thus making them all friendly and respectful. As a family or a couple, we’re well served and well treated. I highly recommend 👍🏽🥂😉
