A large selection of dishes👍. Great and fast service 👍….and good value for money👍

The pizza dough is raw. Non-stringy mozzarella, practically everything is already cold. Tiramisu: just whipped cream with a couple of biscuits without coffee flavor. I don't recommend it!

The online reservation worked. As requested, we were given a table in a quieter corner. The colleague had a pizza piccante that he enjoyed. I had penne al tonno. The sauce should be more thick and the tuna processed more finely. The tiramisu was perfect in terms of taste and consistency.

La Taverna is a very nice restaurant with a variety of Italian dishes in the heart of St. Gallen. We had Pizzas and different kinds of Ravioli, which were delicious. The staff is friendly and you get greeted in a welcome way when you enter. I can recommend this place to anyone that likes to dine comfortably.

I can only recommend this restaurant. Extremely professional staff. The food was very fresh and, above all, absolutely tasty. Easy to make changes, e.g. pizza toppings. Great location, you feel in good hands whether alone or with the family. La Taverna here we come.

Rudest of the rude. After a drink we decided to skip lunch as we were only looking for simple lunch. When I asked to pay, I was adviced to be patient... after waiting 5 or 10 mins. Than the guy explained me that I could not pay with card below 20... Very very rude. Italians that lost their culture becoming rude money makers.

Actually 0 stars. The restaurant refused us entry, despite a reservation, because we had a small dog with us. Dogs are not allowed in, as the waiter told us. This is not visible on the homepage or anywhere else. This pizzeria has now lost several customers. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

The waiters and the owner are extremely child-friendly. That's how it should be everywhere. Big compliment.

Since there was a World Cup game and it was being shown on TV, it was very loud. Nothing like a cozy evening.

The service was very courteous and friendly with a personal touch. Gnocchi, Pizza Contadino and, as a dessert, Zabaione are excellent and highly recommended, we would be happy to come back.

We ordered the same thing. The restaurant was well staffed but not full and had enough staff. Unfortunately we had to wait 35 minutes for our food. It doesn't work at all. Sorry

WHAT AN INSURANCE Definitely avoid this place. If you don't know how customer service works in the restaurant, it's better to close the restaurant. As a sales representative for a large pharmaceutical company, I eat out every day. Mostly with customers like that day. Selected and reserved a table in the restaurant. Called to say it would be later (that can happen with doctors) and when we got there, our table was gone. When we complained, we were told we could go somewhere else. I then asked my customer if we should go to Gentile. The employee or was it even the totally unfriendly boss himself?? took the cards out of our hands and said we should go somewhere else. If you don't need it, that's one thing, but you can't beat this outrageousness. I hope the customers punish them by not entering a restaurant like this anymore. Go to the Rest. Gentile 3 minutes walk away. There they appreciate customers with fine food and hospitality. NO MORE!!!!

I can only agree with the previous speakers. Food was still ok, but the service was bottom drawer. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. The boss should be fired immediately, as should the employees. Avoid this restaurant if you want polite service!

The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food came after a very short time despite a lot of customers, which was very impressive. The food was also extremely tasty and the portions were a good size. The price-performance ratio was pleasingly good.

The pasta was exceptionally good! Price performance ratio is right. Even half a portion is enough for an average adult. So there is no skimping on food here, which I really appreciate. The service was also courteous and friendly.

Extremely unfriendly staff, the drink we ordered was forgotten but charged for. When we complained about this, the amount was reluctantly deducted. Once and never again. You don't feel welcome at all and the prices are totally overpriced.

Extremely delicious! The prices are a bit too high in my opinion, but the taste is really great. We had the lasagne and once pasta as well as two broths. The lasagna had quite a bit of meat filling and overall had a great taste. Definitely a large portion for one person. The same applies to the pasta. Super tasty and a large portion (if you order 1/1). I think the concept of 1/1 and 1/2 portions is extremely good because nothing/less is wasted. The broths were also extremely tasty. The service was very friendly and in a good mood (don't underestimate how important that is). When it got busier, the service seemed to have a hard time keeping up. All in all, a strong 4 stars.
