Owners and staff were so lovely and kind

We were a group of 13 people and ate a la cart, the food and the service was very good. We were very happy with everything and would love to come back.

Food was perfect. Service was terribly bad, didn't listen when ordering, didn't have the time or inclination to take care of us customers. Suddenly disco sound was playing way too loud. Our question as to whether the music could be turned down was not answered. We could hardly communicate anymore. The seat was a discarded sofa. Wine bottle remained empty. Very untypical and a shame.

Das Hotel Castell ist Hotel und Galerie in einem, plus exquisites Restaurant und die rote Bar von Pipilotti Rist. Ein Gesamtkunstwerk, das sich lohnt zu besuchen. Alle Sinne kommen auf ihre Kosten. Glücklich, wer eine Führung durch die Gänge erleben darf. Wir waren zweimal am selben Tag im Castell, einmal der Kunst wegen und am Abend der Küche wegen. Zweimal ein herrliches Erlebnis.
