Restaurant with bar service? But where are we? We had to pick up, order and almost serve everything. A sketch! If at least the prices didn't include the service... If you like good REAL food, run away!

We had been to Lacustre for brunch. Friendly place and the food was good. However, a little hiccup for a hot chocolate with vegetable milk. Unfortunately I had cow's milk and there is only one vegetable milk offered (almond milk) to which I am allergic. In short, no hot chocolate...

Very good bar with good music and a little nightclub atmosphere, the cocktails are good and made in front of us. Unfortunately I don't give it a 5 because the bar closes too early.

Pizza lacks toppings. When I received my pizza, I told myself that it was better to express my feelings about the emptiness of my pizza rather than giving a bad review. The pizza seemed a little "dry" to me and the toppings a little rare, I allowed myself a cordial remark then the waitress insisted on making another one. Obviously the cook must have been upset. (See photos) The canvas blind remained down all evening despite our requests to enjoy the evening light and the landscape.

Good view (if you can get a seat on the lake side). No service. Very busy and have to queue at the bar for both food and drinks. I think they get away with a lot because there is little competition on the lake front in Lausanne. Food is good most of the time. Vibes are good - it's always busy. But, NO BABY CHANGING! I understand this isn't necessary on a Friday or Saturday night but for brunch/coffee it absolutely is. I had to change our baby on the decking on the cold side of the building in January, then face critical comments from a customer walking by (who was also a parent of a young baby by the way! 🤯 but that's another story...) To do it inside would mean in front of other eating customers - very unpleasant for them, humiliating for the parents and baby, and also unhygenic. I gave feedback to the one waiter (glass clearer) I could find on the floor, who confirmed there was no baby changing. I'm not sure what they expect parents to do, but given the number of babies I saw there, including one in a highchair), they should have better facilities. Having them is not going to kill the vibe, and there are plenty of young parents of new babies in Lausanne looking for good places for brunch whilst they can't ski! 😜 Ditto those off on parental leave during the week.

Le lacustre is really a beautiful address in Lausanne. A stone's throw from the lake, the view is breathtaking. The terrace is beautiful, the products are fresh and local, the menu is innovative and changes regularly. There is also a great wine list and the cocktails are just delicious. In the evening the restaurant fills up and is always full. A DJ plays music and people start dancing. There is a real atmosphere, especially between Thursday and Saturday. The service is done at the bar but that's not a problem, the servers are pleasant and smiling. Personally I recommend having a pizza as a starter (thin, light and crispy dough) and then having a meat dish and finishing with a little fruit treat. Trust me you won't be disappointed! It’s up to you and enjoy your meal!

For me one of the best spots in Lausanne, the view is incredible, the food is excellent and the staff are top notch, even if sometimes they suffer from their success. DJ after 10 a.m. until closing, so it’s an all-inclusive experience on the lakeside ;-)

I've been in Lausanne for a month, I went for a drink and I wanted to eat a pizza one evening... Pleasant surprise, a very good atmosphere with the DJ 🥳🔥. The welcome and the service are really great, always with a smile and the pizza is also really good. So I went back the next day, and I'm on my third🍕Pizza🍕😁. I recommend ++ 👌

The menu is at the price of a restaurant, but you have to order at the bar each time, which is a shame.

Great view, good food but prices a little inflated for the quality. Big downside for the service exclusively at the bar, where there are few staff for everyone on site and quite a long time for the kitchens. Good experience nonetheless.

Magnificent view, but the compliment stops there. Terrible food, basic and extremely fatty. Brilliant brutalist architecture unfortunately abandoned. Unnecessarily noisy. Let's pray that a new team takes over this dripping wreck.

I'm not rating the food because I didn't eat there. The beers are good and the view is really nice. You absolutely have to book in advance because it is always full. But the bar is really very nice.

Impeccable, excellent service, very good dishes and pizza. For fans of spice, don’t hesitate to ask for spicy tomato sauce for pizza. The staff is very competent and friendly. It’s always a pleasure to be here.

A place where the waitress who welcomed us today was execrable, probably too proud to work in a place where only the view is beautiful. For the rest, the price is not justified by the quality, and it is crowded. A place which is therefore only of interest for its location.

I really like coming here! The music is very varied and lively, everyone dances and sings along. And, obviously, the main reason to come here: the drinks. They are very well made! The amaretto sour is wonderful. Thanks to Harry for advising me on the cocktails and making them so well!

Bar and restaurant next to Lake Geneva. Ideal for a late afternoon aperitif after work. On the other hand, it is preferable to reserve to be sure of having a table.

It’s a restaurant that I love, very well located with a magnificent view of Lake Geneva, excellent cuisine made with original dishes. The atmosphere is great, music some evenings for even dancing. And a plus in this establishment, the security provided by Securitas. They discreetly monitor the room allowing us to be assured of a safe evening, as the attendance is quite high. I highly recommend this establishment.

The restaurant "Le Lacustre" is a very nice place with a magnificent view. So much for having a drink: choice of cocktails, meeting up to party, the food is very good, large choice of dishes. The service is impeccable, very friendly and smiling young people. We feel good there and above all SAFE: There is a Securitas at the entrance: a very rare thing in a bar restaurant. This gentleman also works in the restaurant, very discreet, very professional and physiognomist. As there are a lot of people in your establishment, we feel completely safe. Other establishments should think about hiring people like him. He is a very valuable person both for your customers and for your staff. He is a sun in himself. Thank you for this wonderful discovery of your bar restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We celebrated a birthday with friends

In Lausanne with views of the lake and well priced for the privileged location.

Feet in the water with breathtaking views of the lake and the CGN port, this trendy place, at the tip of the port of Ouchy and 3 minutes from the M2 metro, is ideal for an afterwork aperitif, a party with friends or as a couple with catering and musical atmosphere of all styles to make us have a good evening. Remember to book well in advance because despite many tables, at the start of the evening places are quickly taken. A little extra for the pizzas.

The organization clearly needs to be reviewed, it’s nonsense!!! The kitchen only opens at 11:30. For a place that accepts a reservation at 11 a.m. for a brunch it would have been good to know so as not to be exhausted for half an hour… It’s really not professional! Limit either you notify customers or you only take reservations for 11:30. Service at the bar and when you order drinks before 11:30 you cannot already order so at 11:30 it’s a bit like the herd is released… By the time our brunch arrived, my coffee was of course cold. Makes you wonder if it’s to sell extra drinks. Otherwise the food was very good and the team was young and friendly.

The place is ridiculous with very arrogant and lazy staff. Three of them just sit there smoking and do nothing. Don’t go there if you don’t speak French.

We waited 1 hour to place our order and when we ordered they wouldn't let us order what we wanted Very poor organization! To escape 🙄

We reserved a table for 6 people on 02.09.2023. We arrived at 9pm and were told to place our order at the bar. No worries, we went there. A gigantic queue, our turn arrived at 9:20 p.m. They told us that we only had to order drinks and later food, because the fireworks would be at 9:30 p.m. I don't know what fires have to do with cooking. At 9:30 p.m. we asked what time we could order, they said there was an hour long queue and the kitchen closed at 10:30 p.m. Our opinion? Bad organization, bad service and too slow. Result? We went to another restaurant.

Pleasant place with terrace overlooking the lake or port. The price of drinks is relatively reasonable.

Be careful when paying - the waiter at the bar made me pay 2x for the same drinks, saying that the first time the payment had not been made. When I checked my account it was charged twice!!

Nice for a drink on the terrace, if you remember to book! The view is beautiful over the lake and the CGN boats. On the other hand, it's self-service, you have to queue. And inside, it's very, very noisy because of the music. It's meant to be young, but it's a shame not to be able to chat in a group... I didn't taste the cuisine.

The place is well located, with a view of the lake..... But the service is NULL NULL NULL Limited reception, too much waiting, poor organization behind the bar, we have the impression that they are interns... the service is slow, cash collection is slow, making a beer is slow... . and what's more, there's bar service even for food!!! If you want to drink aperitifs and eat planchas, I advise you to go elsewhere....because it's quicker and just as good! And there is also a view of the lake

The view and the Guinness was good and that's about it. Had the ribs with fries. Ribs were burnt on the outside and dry on the inside - close to inedible. The fries were luke warm and floppy. If you come here just have a drink. While expensive at least you have a nice view over the lake.

The brunch menu is very good, especially the herb pancakes, very good combination and vegetarian! Beautiful view of the lake from the terrace. Service a little chaotic, and not very fast. Very dirty toilets.

So I paid 12 CHF for a Apero Spritz served in a ugly plastic glass 🤨

We only drank, they put a little bit in the bottom of the glass and they charged us dearly...they could put the normal amount that needs to be put...and the waiter asked for franyelico and he didn't know what it was and he really didn't know... What waiters are there??? hahaha

Where do I start. Firstly, the restaurant is self service so you have to go to the bar to order. Our reservation was for 11 for brunch but they told us that the kitchen doesn’t open until 11:30. The line for ordering is non existent, people just hover around until they get a waiters attention to order. We found a hair in our eggs Benedict. The waitress then spilled water all over our table when picking up our plates. The service is quite slow even though the menu is quite limited and with options that shouldn’t take long to cook. We ordered the bufalina pizza and the eggs Benedict and they were good. The carrot cake was okay but not WOW.

They practically kicked me out before I even finished dinner because I was assigned (without being told) a reserved table. Decent food.

Never would have guessed this strange, dilapidated concrete building was a rooftop bar/restaurant with a decent vibe. If you're staying nearby it's a great place to go for a casual beer/wine and a pizza (share one, they're huge). The other food on the menu is pretty average and the service is slow and not super attentive, but if you're on the water side outdoors, it's a great view and setting for a summer evening. Recommend getting a reservation on a weekend night and make sure you're sitting on the water/sunset side.

This restaurant situated in a really ugly concrete building has a 360° terrace with a beautiful view on the lake, if you are lucky enough to get a seat at the right side, that is. We were not that lucky and got a table on the other side with a view on a small portion of the harbour and the park. But not to worry, we still enjoyed sitting outside. You have to order at the counter, which I found a bit strange, because this place is not cheap by all means. They do bring your food to the table. My boyfriend and I ordered a pisco sour to start off our meal. The cocktails were truly excellent en beautifully presented. My company and I all ordered a variation of the brunch board. I went for the board with Scottish salmon. The board consisted of toast, spinach salad, chili sin carne, eggs and seasonal vegetables. This dish was good, but really too expensive for something rather simple. My advice: go here for the drinks, not for the food.

The pizza was not good. The service was lacking. They need fans outside because it’s so hot during summer. The cocktails were also average. The burger however was very good!

Great location. Great friendly staff that made us feel very welcome even though we do not speak French. I was very surprised by the dinner items. They were great and very well presented. It seemed as if the kitchen staff were well trained. Highly recommend this place for dinner or drinks.

Here is very well located and also a nice ambiance. It’s usually very busy. So, u might consider reservation before hitting the bar/resto specially on Saturdays. They have live music at nights. I’ve been to this place many times, and never disappointed. It’s a nice spot to hangout with friends and chill with the view of the lake. Not limited to the summer! I had my best memories in winter acutely. So; give it a try if ur in the town and have time to reserve. U can ask for any cocktail and they serve pizza an pasta with relatively good price.
