The service was very friendly, the place is very nice and the quality of the menu is excellent.

The food has always been fine, varied and seasonal. Service was very friendly and accommodating, greetings and farewells were personal and appreciative. We always enjoy coming back. Thursday evening (special menu) with smaller portions but several courses, highly recommended, great selection.

The food was great, the service was so perfect and the ambience was simply brilliant (and no, I'm not paid by the restaurant 😊. For us it's the best restaurant in the area. Congratulations to your staff. Where else can you find such exemplary service today. Politeness , professionalism and composure (in a positive sense), simply perfect. Please keep it up. Unfortunately, you can hardly find restaurants with such cuisine AND such staff anymore 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Update 03/16/24: finally eating out again after a long illness. As always, everything is lonely. Food, service and the host couple 👍👍. Snails, veal liver and beef fillet, and finally plum sorbet with lots of prune. A poem. It is and remains our favorite restaurant. The management was extremely unfriendly and canceled our reservation for 10x people! simply passed on. It's a real shame, but who doesn't need it?!

Nice secluded restaurant. Reservation definitely necessary on Sunday. There is enough parking space in front of the restaurant. When we entered we were shown to the table. We ordered veal cordon bleu and salad with chicken. I wanted to be surprised with a Cordon Bleu and was not disappointed. It was really a treat and finally with cheese that smelled delicious. Afterwards I treated myself to vermicelle, which was very good even without cream. I will be happy to come back.

The meat was tough and the sauce tasted like nothing. For 47 CHF I can assume that the meat is of good quality. The vegetables were bland. Everything was beautifully presented, but the food was simply not even remotely worth the price. It seems like no one really enjoys working there. Not recommendable.

This evening, August 11th, we were there for dinner with 10 people. Since making the reservation in April, the hosts knew that 10 people would be coming for dinner. After being greeted by the waitress, we were immediately informed that we should please not all order a different dish. No mention was made of this when making the reservation; Otherwise we would probably have preferred another restaurant. In the starter, Vitello Tonnato, there was a small live snail hidden under a lettuce leaf. The service person, who was made aware of this, apologized briefly and that was it. From an innkeeper with a claim like this: Running a restaurant is less of a challenge than a passion. With a reliable team and shared standards at the highest level, our guests receive our full attention. I expect that such an incident will be declared a matter for the boss and that the innkeeper will personally go to the table and clarify the situation. Unfortunately, Mr. Hirzel didn't think this was necessary. The invoice was issued for the full amount without further comment. Only after persistent insistence from the service staff, who had to contact the boss by phone (the boss had already finished work at 10 p.m.), was the snail starter taken off the bill. The other dishes were good.

We have been celebrating a birthday here for several years and always enjoy coming back. Food is excellent and the service is very attentive. Everything is just right.

Top Restaurant spontaneously came up with the idea of ​​coming over, called and the restaurant prepared a great, large table for us, the food was very tasty and the service was top and fast. The restaurant has a large garden behind the house with a playground for the children, which ours really enjoyed. A traditional country inn with a good selection of classic and local food. Of course - in the asparagus season - we had something with asparagus. The ravioli for starters were very good and so were the chicory boats. The main courses (pork fillet with asparagus and liver) were also very good. You can choose your own side dish and the portions are very large. We were served nicely and attentively and the wine recommendation was top. The only downside to our visit was that we didn't get a seat on the side with the beautiful view, but instead had the parking space in front of the window. But then next time. :)

We were told about a daily special, which my friend ordered 10 minutes later, but then ran out. The service otherwise was very good. The misinformation was just a shame. For dessert I ordered an ice cream cafe, but “only” got coffee ice cream. I was expecting something different. Otherwise, the food tasted very good and the ambience was great.

The landlord and some of the staff are disrespectful towards their customers. You don't seem to care about your customers.

Went here for dinner on a warm summer evening. Well-kept country inn with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, small playground for children (great!). As a starter we ordered hazelnut salad and crayfish tails - unfortunately both didn't convince us, somehow weak (the hazelnut salad and the sauce) and not enough flavor (the crayfish tails). For the main course we treated ourselves to a beef fillet with gratin and a veal schnitzel with mixed salad. The beef fillet was good - juicy, tender and cooked to the desired doneness. The veal schnitzel fell off a bit - a bit dry. The salad accompaniment suffered from the uninspiring sauce. We found it somewhat surprising that many of the ingredients, especially the meat, come almost exclusively from overseas. One would wish for more contemporary concepts here. In general, you get the impression that the target clientele is 60+. If one or the other were to be modernized here, this restaurant could be a star in the local gastronomic sky - the prerequisites, especially the beautiful location, would definitely be there. All in all, I can't really say anything bad about the restaurant, but I still don't want to come back.

There were 3 of us celebrating a birthday! We chose the menue 3 fillet! The last course of beef fillet was too dry for us, there was only a small cherry tomato on the fillet. It was too dry for us!!! We asked for a sauce or herb butter! The waiter's daughter asked in the kitchen. She brought us a small bowl of bernaise sauce and said that she could bring us some of the wedding menu that was being celebrated next door! We were happy to get some sauce, it was barely enough for all 3 of us. Our bill was around 350.- the sauce was charged separately for 13.- That just shocked us!!! We complained and the boss came to our table personally! We objected to the price for the very small portion of bernaise sauce!!! The landlord was very unfriendly and started to explain!!!! What do you actually mean the small cherry tomato costs us almost 0.20 cents, the B.sauce would have butter and that costs us too! Do you feel like we can give away everything for free?!!!! The people at the table next door had seen all this and also thought it was cheeky!! The only thing they could do was tell us to never come here again!!! (There were 8 of these people and they were also celebrating their birthdays) They told us we would remember that too!!!! We will never come to the green ground again!! I've already told a number of people about this incident! One person also told me, good to know, in that case we will never eat there again! We know you don't need it because your restaurant is always full. is occupied. Today we are 14 people and are celebrating another birthday but in a different restaurant with a beautiful garden!

As always, I like to come back here and take my friends with me. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the cuisine is impressive. Good home-style, delicious cuisine, beautifully presented plates, and despite the full house, service à la Speedy Gonzales. The tables were set in classic white and together with the Christmas lighting it created a lovely atmosphere.

For our big birthday, we reserved a table for 6 people on the terrace early. When we arrived, we were seated in the restaurant... The waiter brushed us off in an unfriendly manner and did not respond to our concerns. Since we were the only table inside, we were constantly forgotten, no bread, waiting until drinks could be ordered, etc. We felt "turned off" and not comfortable. Since we were really looking forward to another evening at the GrüeneBode, we were correspondingly disappointed. The food wasn't great either and the price-performance ratio wasn't right. We no longer recommend it, there are better restaurants in the region.

First visit today for lunch. Beautiful garden with very attentive service. Choice of three daily menus or order a la carte. All enjoyed the food and we look forward to another visit.
