Had dinner here with my daughter on Saturday lunchtime. Food first class. Host couple very sweet, friendly and nice. Coziness and the best ambience. Thank you

The hotel is right on the main road and there is a car behind the window 24 hours a day. The bed squeaks all the time with the little movement. So unbelievable. The bathroom didn't have a towel on the floor, and the curtain on the bathtub was extremely dirty. So nothing to recommend.

Dine and drink tastefully in a pleasant atmosphere. Enjoy the exquisite appetizer buffet as you please and get it twice without further ado. For the main course, a tender pink fried beef entrecôte or dumplings filled with prunes with wild mushroom ragout of the best quality. Finally, fine dessert variations. The service is friendly and attentive. All in all a successful Christmas dinner.

We enjoyed the first Advent brunch at the Landgasthof Hirschen in every respect. Very friendly hosts pampered our taste buds extensively. A brunch that left nothing to be desired. All of this in a suitable ambience at very reasonable prices. An experience! We would like to come again!

As already mentioned elsewhere: For me, the Hirschen is the best gourmet restaurant on the north side of the Alps, my undisputed favorite. After enjoying more than a dozen different gourmet menus at the Hirschen in Amriswil over the last two years, my absolute highest rating has been confirmed again and again. The quiet culinary artist Mathias Brede and his team dedicate themselves to fresh, creative, delicately aromatic, well-thought-out gourmet courses prepared using all the rules of culinary art, using regional and seasonal products. You can already tell with the starters, for example scallops on horseradish foam with beluga lentil vinaigrette as in the current gourmet menu. And only the soup trilogy, originally served by the very competent, communicative and friendly chef de service, Marcel Thalmann, are a dream with a delicate foam topping that I have wanted to imitate so many times and have never been able to. Before the main course, tenderly melting homemade filled dumplings with truffle shavings or similar highlights are served. The main courses are a firework of aromas, perfectly balanced consistencies and flavors, harmonious colors and perfectly prepared, such as the pink fried beef fillet with duck liver on leaf spinach with potato-pumpkin gratin and port wine jus. I'm not a dessert type myself, but at Hirschen I even enjoy homemade sweet temptations and delicate plate decorations. An advantage for invitations is that the Hirschen also has guest rooms if you have tried too much of the well-assorted wine selection. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Hirschen, which will be tonight.
