Lang's Cafe in Neuhausen am Rheinfall

Were here for brunch and unfortunately there were no "real" wholemeal bread rolls. Everything was white bread, otherwise you would have to ask and then two rolls came. Price performance is not right for me.

Total comfort in the place, all the staff very friendly and helpful, I stopped by to have a cappuccino with an apple roll and I was totally satisfied

Service: Disaster! Stood as ordered and not picked up at the entrance. The cashier didn't even want to greet me at first, and after I approached her, she said for a moment. I just wanted to ask if there were any free tables since it was my first time there. And then, after 5 minutes of standing around stupidly in the entrance - when the second lady had finished washing up, she came and showed the back of the coffee. Ambience: Old people coffee, cleanliness not great either, but not bad either. Only had a coffee because the service spoiled our appetite.

The Black Forest cake, on the other hand, has no cherry... but still tastes good. Very good hygiene concept, vaccination certificate must be shown. Clean toilets with very small cubicles. Not usable for wheelchair users or people with physical disabilities.

About 10 years ago I was treated really unfriendly and badly here. It was the Rhine Falls Festival, there was a huge crowd and I urgently had to go to the toilet. So I thought I'd ask the restaurant/café if I could use the toilet for a fee. When I ran into the restaurant, Ms. Lang shouted at me: "Get out!!!" I was really scared and said I wanted to ask if I could use the toilet. She said no and sent me out. I realize there were probably some festival goers walking into the restaurant that day. However, you shouldn't treat other people like that. I felt like the biggest idiot and had the feeling that if I had been 15 years older I would have been treated more politely. From then on it was clear to me that I would avoid this café/restaurant. Every time I drive past it today, that bad memory comes back. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

The young man at the counter is very attentive to all needs/allergies and knows ingredients as he is the one preparing the meals. I cannot recommend enough - even though I would have liked the place to have a cozier look and comfy sofas, it is our favourite place near the Rheinfalls. The numerous gluten free desserts are to die for.

Super great cafe and bakery. Fresh bread and confectionery every day. The ice cream selection is brilliant and you really get something for your money, we now go every Sunday just for that. The service is always friendly and quick. Recommended for every age group. Unfortunately one of the few cafés where you still feel really valued in Neuhausen. We hope that a good temporary solution will be found while the eternal construction site continues in the center. Café Lang is still part of the heart and soul of the village and you don't want to miss it.
