It was OK. It's a shame the service is not Italian, which could be improved. Nothing against Eastern Europeans, they don't fit in here. Price/performance of the wines is good.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience in this restaurant. The waitress who served us was very busy, almost absent. We hadn't even finished eating the starter when the main course arrived, without the wine we had ordered with it. The starter was cleared half an hour later, by another waiter. When we pointed out the missing wine to the waitress, she reacted annoyed and unfortunately there was no apology, even though she had obviously forgotten about us. The spaghetti I ordered was very overcooked, and the spaghetti vongole my partner ordered was very sandy. The mussels appeared to have not been washed well. The only good thing was the ambience. We received a nice round table in the corner. However, I don't know if we were forgotten because we were somewhat hidden. However, I won't be dining there again as I've had to pay significantly less at other Italian restaurants for better food and service.

A pleasant place to eat very well. Our dishes were good and generous in size. The service people were exceptionally friendly and diligent. We sat in the middle section between the two parts of the restaurant and clearly felt the 'passage character'... But I would like to make a recommendation Konrad Hug

From the welcome to the payment, everything was great! Nice welcome, funny bartender, attentive service. Great recommendations for food & wine. You get the feeling that the local team is very familiar. It was very busy, but you didn't notice the stress in the service. Well-rehearsed and friendly and accommodating. I had a really pleasant experience at the Latini restaurant in Basel. The food was consistently tasty and well prepared. I would particularly like to highlight the service, which was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. The remarkable wine selection at Latini complemented the food perfectly and contributed to an all-round successful evening. The carefully curated selection of wines reflected a high quality and reflected a well-thought-out drinks menu. For wine lovers, Latini is definitely a recommended address in Basel. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio remains acceptable and certainly places the restaurant at the top of the selection options in Basel. All in all, it was a successful evening with good food, an appealing wine selection and a friendly atmosphere.

We went on December 24 at noon, the service was really excellent, the waiters were super attentive and the food was really good.

A good place to dine, quite spacious and charming. The portions are quite generous, and the flavor is very good. The price, reasonable. The waitresses were charming and very attentive at all times. The gnocchi all'amatriciana are very good although somewhat spicy (warning if you don't like it).

Good restaurant. Starters a bit simple. But tasty. Pasta Vongole delicious. Pricey but you know that in Basel. Service good, but not special. Just do it. Nothing wrong with it. A bit of a chicken coop in terms of sound.

The food was very good, the spaghetti vongole was excellent! Very nice, attentive service, pleasant atmosphere even though there were quite a few people there on Saturday evening. We would definitely go again!

Wonderful place, delicious food (I had the vegetarian truffle ravioli and my wife the rack of lamb), and most excellent service - thanks to Adil, who took great care of us.

The restaurant was busy, so a reservation makes sense. The waiting times for the order, the food and the bill were rather long, but that worked to our advantage because we had a lot to talk about. The food was good, a little more spice was missing. I had a risotto with asparagus and cherry tomatoes. There wasn't much asparagus, so I think Fr 26 was rather expensive for what was on the plate. Another meal of rigatoni with vegetables was good in terms of seasoning. Food changes and requests were addressed without any problem. The waiter was friendly. It was rather dark and loud in the restaurant but we could still talk to each other easily. At the table next door they had to read the map with a flashlight. There is also a selection for vegans and vegetarians and is labeled accordingly, which is what I call contemporary.

We go to Latini once a month and have never been disappointed (we are not from Basel and come specifically from ZH). The ambience, the wonderful staff (in my opinion there is no better service in a Ristorante in Basel-Stadt) and the incredible food especially Risotto LATINI is highly recommended. Visited Ristorante Latini when looking for an Italian restaurant, and although in a different time - neither lunchtime nor dinner - the service and the quality of the food were superb, even for a simple spaghetti. Most tables were already reserved for dinner, but they allowed me to have a late dinner.

The staff is extremely friendly and service is fast. I had the Tagliata di Manzo with Risotto and it was extremely delicious. I can only say great things about this restaurant!

I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant, but it didn't match the food the restaurant offered. I definitely noticed that they use very quality products for food, but unfortunately the range was very small, I didn't find anything to my taste. The service wasn't the best, only the lady who greeted us was very nice. All in all, neither good nor bad, but I expected a lot more.

Six of us had dinner at Latini last week. All the dishes were incredibly delicious! (We had risotto Latini, lasagne, pasta with salmon, lamb legs and the giant prawns😍) The food was served quickly. Even though the restaurant was pretty full for a Tuesday, we were served quickly and we kept asking if everything was okay or if we had anything else we wanted. Very attentive and friendly service. Great and large wine selection. We had a bottle of Cannonau - highly recommended. And top value for money. All in all, if you're in the mood for Italian specialties, you're in good hands at Latini in Basel!

Bindella in Basel. Increases to the Zurich level are definitely feasible. Not much is missing...

Busy place, great food, excellent sea bass!

Incredible pasta and service, lasagne and bolognese as good as any in Italy! Friendly staff also easily made a great wine recommendation to pair with the dishes we ordered.

We had dinner at Latini, delicious, but wildly noisy and crowded. The price tag is typically Swiss, a simple pasta is 23-25 ​​francs, i.e. dinner for three with water for about a hundred. And this is normal by local standards, everything is extremely high quality and tasty, but the atmosphere is too fussy and, to be honest, not very suitable for relaxation at the end of a busy day. But if you are not bothered by the crowd and loud conversations around, then otherwise the place is decent, there are no questions about the kitchen and service👍

Great place to stop for yummy Italian! They offer a kids menu option of a small salad, small pasta, and dessert for only 15€. It was huge portion for my 10 year old and she loved getting a three course meal. She also loved getting the cheese grater to use at the table. My pasta carbanara was delicious. Finished with an espresso. Highly recommend!

Food was very good, unfortunately the service wasn't so good. They were very friendly but it took a long time for everything to arrive. Although we didn't order anything special, everything was off the menu Would eat there again, but only if the service gets better, or rather faster.

Found was really good, what makes the 5 stars is the service. We arrived around 7:30 today, Sunday without a reservation, there were 11 of us, 5 minutes later we were seated at a lovely table and had the most amazing waitress. Nothing was too much, we were a bit loud, never a complaint just a smile and friendliness all around. May well be one of my top places in Basel!

So, when I was night owling, I just stopped, hungry, on one of the main traffic arteries in Basel. In and of itself it is really centrally located. I sat outside and didn't look at the interior now. There is a step at the entrance and designated two-three hands for accessibility. Species of a different kind than those intended by the architect would be safely and protected included here. That's what I'm expecting. However, it starts when it comes to food. Despite there being little activity, three orderlies and kitchen staff on duty - from what I noticed the owner was among them - the pumpkin cream soup that I had ordered for 11 CHF (a nice price) arrived after what felt like 20 minutes. It tasted rich, creamy and nutritious. That's what it was about for me too. Yes, I have to say, it came without spices, without bread, which unfortunately still had to be brought along. Therefore I deduct one star. The pumpkin seeds in the soup were well-intentioned, please roast them beforehand if there is still ghee on the pan. The dash of pumpkin seed oil in the soup had a certain something. The Hefeweizen was from Üeli. This was conveyed to me non-verbally. Anyway, after 30 seconds it was in front of me, unstoppered and poured. Gastro-technically first class. From a price-performance perspective, I'm not that familiar with the customs yet. A 10% tip for 21 CHF is welcome. Now let's get to the mix. If you like it loud and intrusive, please sit outside. Every few minutes tram lines 8,17,6 or some other line rolls through the picture. It has bicycles in front of its nose, especially those with batteries. They race quite boldly over the dam between the tram and the sidewalk. What do you say when a bunch of careless passersby share the narrow space. The tram rings and jingles so regularly that I no longer notice it. But there seems to be a good reason why the tram driver wants to sound his so-called warning signal. Apparently the bikes are driving too close to your nose. Apparently a passer-by decides to take a quick step and comes in one of the lanes that was not intended for that person. It's a busy place. Hectic too. But rather amusing to tranquil. There was no imminent danger. But that seems like a way to say that the place is hot and things can escalate in a heartbeat. So I recommend sitting in it. Simply to avoid certain unreasonable things (which the owner can't do anything about). Like I said, I love the nightlife. There are also all sorts of incentives. Extremely wonderful people and always an open heart. Because that's why I sat down. Enjoy your evening in the center of the Baselbieterschaft.

A very nice trattoria style restaurant. Great Italian food and an attentive, friendly staff. Plus it is only one block from a tramway station in downtown Basel, making access easy.

Food and service were excellent. It was great that the space could even be transferred from the interior to the terrace on site. Unfortunately, we were sitting too hard and smells kept coming from the sewage system. Well, it wasn't permanent, otherwise we would have had to stop eating.

Wonderful Restaurant with Delicious Authentic Italian foods. Staff is very friendly and Helpful. Its located in city centre. Very close to Bärfussaplatz tram station. Highly recommended this Restaurant for your next visit.

Very good Italian. Vongole was made with a lot of very fresh seafood and a descent amount of Chili and garlic. It was a bit too salty for my taste. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant, not too full, nice deco.

The pasta was very good, the carpaccio not so much, but the tiramisu was one of the best I've had here. The waitress's treatment was very pleasant.

One of my absolute favorite places. The service is always very friendly and the food has always been excellent and at moderate prices. Personally, I recommend the ravioli di ricotta. 😉 You can also eat outside (in front of the restaurant and preferably in the backyard) and there are also children's portions if you wish. I recommend the restaurant to anyone who appreciates good Italian food in a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was good, the meat was very good, the service was also very good, the atmosphere was cozy, very pleasant. Italian restaurants abroad never offer real Italian cuisine (out of 1,000 Italian restaurants, maybe one!) which is absolutely unique and fantastic, in every region of Italy and therefore very different. A mixture of the delicious, endlessly good Italian dishes/products and their own inventions are made abroad... But we can recommend this restaurant.
