My partner and I did not know what / where to eat tonight and couldn’t be more happy to have landed here ! We were lucky that another couple was willing to share their table with us as the restaurant was of course fully booked on a saturday night. The service was wholesome and heartwarming. The food simply delicious ! My love for Pad Thai runs deep, and honestly this was the best Pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. Intimate, cozy and extremely tasty.

Highly recommended. Excellent curry, friendly owners and cozy place. Come again.

Lovely little restaurant with lovely food. The couple who run the place on their own do a great job. The wife cooks while the husband looks after the customers, he provided great service. I had Beef Red Curry and it was beautiful, the wine was tasty as well.

If you have ever gone to Thailand, you know Thai cuisine, namely traditional authentic cuisine. You are right here. The restaurant is small but nice, with lots of beautiful little antiques. A married couple run the shop and always greeted us warmly when we were there. I can only recommend it!

A little gem on the edge of Biel's old town. The small but fine Thai restaurant offers excellent food. The ingredients are very high quality and are lovingly prepared. If you like stick rice with mango, you have to order in advance because it has to be prepared longer in advance. Many thanks to the warm hosts Eva and Denis, we always enjoy coming back.

Great staff, the food is excellent. You have to be patient (the waiting time for dishes is quite short), the dishes are prepared one by one, you can feel the freshness. In my opinion the entry prices are a little expensive, but the quality is there.

We highly recommend: the dishes there were delicious, faithful to what we had known about Thai cuisine when we were there, and prepared with care. The setting is original because it is filled with Asian trinkets which make the place atypical and unique of its kind. The warm welcome and attentive service also had a lot to do with it: the owner contributed to ensuring that we had a friendly and pleasant time. We will return with joy.

Quite expensive and you have to take your time. But in return you will probably taste the best Thai in Switzerland! Very warm owner. Oh yes and their house cocktail “basil” is really great according to my wife.

L’endroit est petit, la décoration est chargée, le serveur (peut être le patron) est accueillant. Bref, un endroit qui ne paie pas de mine, mais alors le curry.... c’est simple je n’en ai jamais mangé un aussi bon! Il a du gout, il est bien assaisonné, bref c’est une adresse ou je retournerai!

This restaurant actually has the potential to become my next regular restaurant. The location is very easy to reach! The convenient transport connections make a quick trip there possible. My sister and I were there together and each of us ordered something different - I can say that I tried a pinch of each and it was really good. Really fast and nice service. I think that the entire restaurant staff did a good job.

There are not many places so remember to make a reservation. The dishes are all very good, prepared with care. We come here to take the time and get a change of scenery. The prices are a little high for the type of cuisine, but I would still happily return.

Ein kleines Fundstück in der Welt der internationalen Küche! Ein unscheinbares Restaurant mit authentischer Thai-Küche, welche mit frisch zubereiteten Speisen auftrumpft. Sympathisch und seeehr lecker, was hier geboten wird. Unbedingt reservieren, da es sehr wenige Plätze hat und etwas Geduld mitbringen - die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und nehmen deshalb etwas Zeit in Anspruch. Interieur wie in einer Brockenstube - speziell und daher aussergewöhnlich.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit viel Deko und tollem Ambiente. Das Essen ist sehr gut, nach meiner Einschätzung authentische Thai-Küche. Sympathischer und Aufmerksamer Service. Unbedingt reservieren, da kleines Lokal.

Very tasty Thai food, but the waiting times were extremely long even though there were very few guests. This at least speaks for a really freshly prepared dish. Nice Thai decoration, great ambience.

Viel zu teuer und eher mangelhaft, z.B. Speisekarte Poulet mit Reis mit Salat und etwas Gemüse, schlussendlich sind es etwas Salatblätter mit Rüebli ohne Salatsauce und ohne Sauce allgemein für 29.00 CHF. Zusätzliches Reis muss zusätzlich gekauft werden. etc. Dann Wein aus Flasche etwa 8.50 CHF 1 dl - Flasche ohne Korken. Vorspeise auch bei 29.00 für nur eine einfache Suppe mit etwas Nüdeli oder so. Wir wollten ein Kaffee bestellen, es gibt kein Kaffeemaschine ist kaputt. Tee nicht auf thailändische Art serviert sondern nur einen Teebeutel mit heisses Wasser.

Endroit atypique, très bon avec des produits frais cuisinés à la commande. Accueil très chaleureux. Des plats végétariens sont proposés. Nous y retournerons volontiers.

Dans un décor très chargé, vous dégusterez une fine cuisine thaï. Serieusement c'est delicieux. Point. Tout est fait maison et minute. Donc le service est plutôt lent. La taille restreinte de la salle entretient une ambiance 'comme chez soi. Au final le seul bémol est l addition plutôt épicée. Mais on y reviendra de toute façon.

Superb cuisine, intimate and honest welcome. The owner and his wife decorate their small restaurant during their travels in Asia, and maintain their passion for Thai cuisine through regular visits. Very few places in the restaurant, I would advise booking or at least calling ahead if an impromptu visit is planned.

Very good Thai restaurant and a veritable museum of Thai trinkets of all kinds. On the other hand, quite expensive and long wait despite the limited space available. Please remember to book.

En entrant dans ce petit bistro situé en Vieille Ville ce vendredi 29 décembre, nous avons eu l'impression d'entrer dans un salon...tellement le décor est rempli de souvenirs de Thailande. L'endroit est petit mais chaleureux. Le patron vous accueille avec le sourire et convivialité. Nous avons choisi les rouleaux de printemps en entrée pour Fr. 16.-- pour 6 petits rouleaux avec une sauce aigre-douce: c'était vraiment délicieux et bien présenté. Mais c'était aussi l'entrée la meilleure marché. Les salades et les soupes sont au prix d'un plat principal. Nous avons continué avec un plat de blanc de poulet sauté aux poivrons, oignons croquants et dés d'ananas arrosés d'une sauce aigre-douce fait maison ainsi qu'un plat de filet de canard au curry rouge avec tomates cerises et aubergines thaïes. Le tout est servi avec une couronne de riz blanc. C'était vraiment délicieux avec une préférence pour le plat au curry rouge. Nous avons également apprécié les deux ballons de vins blanc en apéritif: un chardonnay et un blanc de noir. Le pinot noir servi en bouteille de 5 dl. nous a également bien plu et les prix sont corrects. Notre appréciation générale est très bonne, nous retournerons avec plaisir dans ce petit bistro où le temps n'a plus d'importance et où on se sent bien. Nous n'étions que deux couples à table ce soir-là et nous n'avons pas attendu longtemps pour être servis.Il n'y a qu'une personne à la cuisine et le patron fait seul le service. Il peut en être autrement en cas d'affluence.

Voici qq jours, j’ai eu l’occasion de déguster un délicieux repas au Basilic. Nous y avons pris l’apéro préparé comme au Peru, le pisco ! Très bon et surprenant. Comme entrée, nous avions commandé une salade de Papayes, apprêtée avec passion.Le plat principale que nous avions commandé à l’avance : le ceviche! J’adore cette manière d’apprêter le poisson, j’avoue toutefois qu’il ne faut plus rechercher le goût du poisson, mais se laisser emporter par les saveurs et mélanges subtiles entre poisson, limettes et condiments ! Donc les patrons cuisinent non seulement thaï, mais comme Madame est péruvienne, une touche sud-américaine inespérée ! Très réussi sans parler du cadre. Et oui, tout va à son rythme dans ce resto, mais dans ce monde si pressée c’est une aubaine de s’y reposer. A tester ;-)

Einfach superlecker! Ich komme immer wieder gerne und bin jedesmal begeistert. Die Gerichte sind sehr liebevoll zubereitet, das Ambiente ist stimmig und der Patron ist immer für ein Pläuderchen zu haben. Für mich das beste Thai-Restaurant in der Schweiz. Die Wartezeit ist manchmal etwas lang, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Je n'hésite pas à faire le déplacement de Berne à Bienne pour y manger; seule ou accompagnée. Les repas sont toujours préparés, par une seule cuisinière, avec des produits frais. Le temps d'attente en vaut la peine, il ne s'agit pas d'un fast food ! On y redécouvre le concept du slow food dans un cadre convivial et familier. Juste excellent !

Comme je suis thaïlandais. J'étais un peu déçu de savoir que le chef n'était pas thaï mais péruvien. Je ne m'attendais pas beaucoup au goût de la nourriture, mais après avoir goûté ... Mon Dieu!... C'était une grande surprise que la nourriture était très délicieuse et que le goût était original!Je dirais que leur curry vert et Panang ont été l'un des meilleurs que j'aie jamais dégustés en d'hors de la Thaïlande .Certainement, je serai de retour pour essayer les autres plats!

Adorant la cuisine thaï, nous avons découvert "Le basilic", niché au bas Le vieille ville.La cuisine fut succulente. Nous y avons trouvé les saveurs de Pukhet, Kao Lak ou Ko Phi phi.Le décor très riche de souvenirs de Thaïlande, ajoute à convivialité du lieu.Les patrons ne sont pas thaïlandais mais ils sont passionnés et aussi attentionnés et accueillants que le peuple de Siam.De passage à Bienne? N'hésitez pas à y aller!Le prix des plats vaut le travail minutieux de la patronne en cuisine

We just ate there. The restaurant is very small - max 10 people. The kitchen is in the same room as the tables and so after frying some pre-made curry paste we inherited the smell. The food is edible but far from tasting nice. I only give 2* because the waiter was very polite, else the overall experience would be 1*. The waiting time was too long and they dont accept card. Not recommend to visit.

Petit restaurant à l'orée de la vieille ville ; on y est accueilli avec chaleur par un patron très sympa. La nourriture est très bonne, très fine, la présentation est très soignée, voilà de la cuisine thaï de bonne tenue ; attention, les prix sont assez épicés.MAIS, car il y a un mais, il faut avoir du temps, beaucoup de temps pour y manger. Arrivés à 19h05, nous avons attendu 1 heure pour voir arriver les entrées ; quant au plat principal, il a fallu patienter 1 heure 30, oui, 90 minutes supplémentaires. En outre, la dernière personne servie a reçu son plat 20 minutes après la première, ce qui fait 1 heure 50 minutes d'attente entre l'entrée et le plat principal. Nous avons renoncé au café/dessert, on n'en pouvait plus. Alors oui, tout est fait à la minute : mais ce n'est pas une première mondiale tout de même, gardons les pieds sur terre ! Le client, lui, poireaute des heures ! C'était une première ... et une dernière !

Sehr kleines und freundliches thai restaurant. Es gibt nur 3 tische, platz für ca 15 personen.Der Raum ist sehr intressant gestaltet und es gibt viel zu sehen und entdecken. Das essen war super, alles frisch zubereitet. Der wirt sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Mit herzblut am werk ;)Sehr empfehlenswert! Gegenüber anderen thai restaurants eher im oberen preisbereich. Jedoch stimmt das gesamte verhältnis sehr gut! Komme gerne wieder :)

This place feels like you've been invited to a chef's home. Don't expect to be served quickly, this is a place to take your time (and have a drink, chat while waiting for your plate).

The tiny papaya salad without any meat or fish was 19 CHF.😝 I was not crazy about the flavor either. I have had so many green papaya salad, this one was wierd.

Un délice! Nous avons mangé des rouleaux de printemps en entrée et des currys en plat principal. Tout était parfait. L'accueil était très chaleureux et on se sent vraiment à l'aise dans ce restaurant. Il faut juste prévoir du temps car le service est un peu lent mais il en vaut clairement la peine! Nous recommandons fortement ce restaurant!

Es ist so, wie wenn man in eines der High Class Restaurants in Bangkok, aber es liegt in der coolste kleines Restaurant in Biel. Die Tatsache, dass es gibt wirklich nicht viele Plätze/Tische und dass Sie sind umgeben von so vielen Thai Klimbim gebe es so eine besondere Atmosphäre.Ich liebe das Restaurant, das Paar, das eigene und glaube, dass es die beste Erfahrung in Biel.
