One hell of surprise! Overnighting near Geneva Airport, Where should I eat? There are plenty of places but most look like standard takeaway options. Not Le Blandonnet!!! The welcome was warm and genuine, the service was exemplary, and the food was both flavoursome and plentiful - real value for money!!! If you are staying near Geneva airport and you are in need of real meal in a well run, casual restaurant setting, then La Blandonnet is certainly worth a visit.

I am modifying to answer you, I managed kitchens for 15 years when I say smell of oil it means that your fryer must be too hot and burns the oil therefore leaves a bad taste. and for the Iskender I eat it once a week in different places I have never had this problem with the sauce which I am willing to bet comes straight from the packaging without cooking to be as it was. So mixed experience, I just ordered a plate of Iskender kebab for delivery and fries, fries very strong smell of oil it's average but homemade yogurt delicious meat good once rinsed of this acidic juice without butter and with the taste of can without any seasoning nor preparation called "tomato butter" sauce I couldn't eat without rinsing the meat (practical in a hotel...) what a shame I love this dish when the tomato sauce is cooked. I repeat, the homemade yogurt is really delicious.

Found the restaurant based on reviews and was also happy wit pretty much everything fro the service to the meals we ordered (quite a lot for 2 people as are 2 foodies!) the ezme was delicious, the feta salad was great we followed by chicken skewers with bulgur which was very tender and tasty, served with fresh salad and delicious spicy sauce: yummy! The steak was ok (good value for money yet don’t except anything over the top for 25chf, but ok one) the lahmachum was tasty and the dough fluffy a real great choice! Only less happy about and haven’t tried more than one little bite is the falafel salad with mozzarella. Don’t except it to be the usual homemade or commonly called falafel made with chickpeas but an unusual recipes with tons of spices which I’m not sure which cuisine does this. Overall a good option in Geneva, good value for money and a nice service. Thank you!

We had a great dinner here last night! We were staying at a nearby hotel and there are very few options for dinner in the area. Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Lovely casual sit down dinner. I had the mezzo plate and my husband had the mixed grilled. Both were excellent!

We stopped in for a quick bite on our trip back to the states; a very safe quick easy walk from the hotel, just takes a bit for the walk signs to change, but the we were immediately greeted by the very friendly staff, we were promptly seated and after a few minutes to go through the menu the staff came around to take out order. There are places reserved for the restaurant right in front, but they are quickly taken. The Blandonnet shopping center is directly opposite, offering more parking if needed.
