Le Café Zürich HB in Zürich

Le Café is a small café situated within Zurich Mainstation, in the lower floor. It is a bit hidden, since it is in the middle floor, which is not the one you wozld usually walk through. It has a good variaty of sandwiches and bakeries, as well as coffees and teas. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, serving right at the table. There are tables inside and more outside. During winter time, the places outside can get a bit cold, but with a jacket you're just fine. The ambiente trys to be a bit on the french side, though might do with a freshup.

Really bad and overpriced cafe…

Worst cafe I've ever had. Absolutely overpriced and from a machine that makes it taste like poorly diluted tea.

Wasted money. I was so disgusted after one sip of my so-called "cappuccino" that I left it despite the steep price. Coffee? More like tea. Watery and tasteless. I really expected more from a cafe called "le Café".

My stay at the café "Le Café" in Zurich was marked by disappointment and frustration. This place seemed to be a parade of inadequacies, starting with the cappuccino, which tasted more like water than the expected creamy blend of espresso, milk and foam. The ambience of the cafe initially promised a pleasant experience, with modern furnishings and dim lighting. But as soon as we entered it became clear that appearances were deceptive. The furniture looked worn and the entire atmosphere exuded a certain indifference. The highlight of the disappointment was undoubtedly the cappuccino. After ordering this, I expected an aromatic blend of strong espresso and velvety milk, topped with a perfect foam. Instead, I received a lukewarm cup in which the taste of water dominated. The coffee seemed to be prepared in an amateurish manner, as if the basics of barista art had been completely ignored. The staff was in no way trying to improve the experience. A subtle smile or an apology for the disappointing quality of the drink could have gone a long way, but instead my dissatisfaction was met with indifference. It seemed like customer satisfaction was a secondary priority here. The prices for the products offered had no meaningful relationship to the quality offered. It was hard to believe that one would pay such a high amount for such a tasteless cappuccino. This pricing bordered on outrageous, especially considering that numerous other cafes in the area offer higher quality products at a more reasonable price. All in all, my visit to Le Café was a disaster. From the worn-out furnishings to the disappointing cappuccino taste to the indifference of the staff, there is little that can give this cafe a positive note. Given the numerous high-quality alternatives in Zurich, it would be unwise to invest your time and money here.

Just had a croissant and a pain au chocolat on the way to work. French bakery was just mediocre, if I am honest.

Got a drink here to sit outside in the hallway to organize our luggage. Got whistled at by the barista: “excuse me! You can’t sit there.” And then I pointed to my purchased drink and she rolled her eyes and said “just one?” One too many honestly, the nastiest iced latte ever. The atmosphere is nice but the people is not. You can find the best of both worlds everywhere else - don’t waste you money and time here. They’re nothing special.

Friendly little café in the belly of Zurich main station. It is a small oasis of calm, with friendly service. I'd love to come back. The only major disadvantage is that it doesn't have a toilet...

I've had the best doppio doppio latte macchiato at Le Cafè. The service was great and the server was very friendly and polite. Will definitely visit again when at the train station (HB). Just a tip it is hidden in the middle of the mezzanine where suitcase storage is found.

Sandwiches are a nice and simple quick snack. The staff is accommodating. Service was prompt, and the sandwich was hot.

Nice conditions and the prices are ok considering that the cafe is in Zurich main station.

Nice service, good food and fine coffee.. ok so far. Immediately afterwards another employee comes with a turch on the head and starts arguing with the other blonde/tattoos.. I had to wait for my bill. Others were full of stress. Although I'm a regular customer and have never seen that. Greetings Abid Mahmood.

For HB, quiet location on the luggage compartment deck, there is space, no crowds, super friendly service, delicious fruit juice that really deserves the name, good price-performance ratio. From now on my go-to place in HB Zurich!

Read the poor ratings but in all honestly, it’s a really quaint and lovely cafe. Affordable with yummy sandwiches and even tho they didn’t have mochachino, the person gave us an alternative which was really kind and considerate of her. Lovely service, no complains from us😊

Catastrophic condition! The boy was friendly, I ordered a juice for 5.5 (super expensive) and sat down at the table to work. Then the blonde housewife from the waiter who didn't even speak German came and wanted to make it clear to me that I had to go. I told her 3 times that I was a customer here and showed her the bottle. She just didn't understand it and laughed stupidly and didn't even apologize. Disgrace!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about prior reviews, but wanted to commend the staff as we came here lost. Some kinda of music festival, so the station was completely full. Yet staff welcomed us, helped us with getting to the bathroom and even conversion from euro to CHF (which we didn’t have any). I’ve been 2 hrs now with no complaints or anyone trying to kick us out. Our only complaint is the menu at table is slightly different than what’s posted on the board behind register. Otherwise we enjoyed our visit. Whatever Saison Wahe (cherry pie like) was very good. 😋

The worst and rude staff in all our Zürich trip. We ordered. They did not have the type of coffee we wanted and kicked us out from their table. The place was not even in need of tables. It was pretty empty but still in a very rude way told us to leave and waited by my side so I would stand up and get going. In our last day visiting Zürich it totally became an awful way to end everything that was going so wonderful til then. I was with my two babies and they didn’t even care about it. Monica is a friendly and helpful waitress working in Le Cafe, which is attached to Oskars upstairs. Nice atmosphere inside. A bit of quite in the bustling Zurich Station.
