Staying at the hotel des Bains and enjoying the baths We had booked at the chalet A superb decor, in a Valais theme and a good smell of cheese and wood coming from the pizza oven It feels like a high mountain Warm welcome, very professional waiter After the aperitif, we opted for a cheese fondue with a small glass of local white wine. The fondue was excellent and plentiful enough for two A big thank you to the waiter who recommended a gourmet coffee with apricot liqueur and apricot ice cream. Perfect My wife had a bourbon vanilla crème brûlée which was also excellent. I also saw pizzas cooked over a wood fire passing by which were plentiful.

A safe bet after a swim in the Lavey baths. The fondues are very good. Reservation made online before and fortunately the restaurant refused people without reservation. Service a little slow but the restaurant being full and not being in a hurry it was not a problem.

My husband and I had reserved a table last night in this restaurant during our first visit to Spa Lavey. We had a great time, the service was excellent, fast, the tomato fondue was very good and I particularly recommend the scoop of Old-Fashioned Pistachio ice cream, a marvel!

The very positive point is the food. On the other hand, the service is really very slow and unprofessional. The servers are friendly. We had to wait 50 minutes to receive a green salad and we had to ask for the bread. One of the pizzas was burnt (black) on one side. The interior decoration is reminiscent of the decoration of a chalet.

This restaurant is a disaster. Arrived 8:38 p.m., 8:52 p.m. the fondue, the beer, the whysky placed on the table. They make us understand to leave quickly. The fondue arrives completely burnt. At the end of the meal, we go to the bar to recommend a coffee, they bring the bill, they really make us understand to leave. The cutlery is thrown into the storage boxes in the middle of service, a commotion during the meal....in short...tourist trap.... This restaurant is a scandal...

We had reserved a table for 2. So it had been respected, but I found the tables a little tight in terms of size. Ordered a very good raclette! Well served in terms of potatoes, there were more than enough for 2. Same for the accompaniments. The service was pleasant and professional. The setting is very pretty, I just found it a shame that there wasn't some light music to add a little more chalet atmosphere. It was a bit flat. Otherwise very good meal.

Typical wooden chalet just outside the Lavey baths allowing you to have a pleasant meal. Efficient service, reasonable prices (we're in Switzerland so it's not cheap) and consistent dishes.

Super warm restaurant with dishes that warm the heart.

It's not the first time we've come but extremely disappointed. We ordered two pizzas (40 minutes of waiting), feeling like we were disturbing the servers. The discussions between them were very friendly (saying that customers who had not booked through the hotel had to wait longer than the others. At the time of payment, neither a thank you, good evening, nothing. Top it was us who had created the atmosphere all by myself, that's why I gave it a 3 star for the atmosphere

Nice little chalet serving a selection of dishes to please most including pizza. Friendly and efficient service. Pizzas were big with lots of cheese. Cold roast beef salad with chips and salad and tartare sauce was a surprise hit!

Nice restaurant! The staff is friendly. The dishes, including the board, and the beef tartare were generous, they were beautiful plates! Unfortunately this is the first time I've eaten a tartare with zero taste, no flavor...?? Very unfortunate and disappointed at the moment.

Not super good service came to drink and eat but very stressed staff despite few people took a long time before the drink arrived and then the wine was very very cold would not recommend

We took the chef's suggestions. Today: sea bass fillet and floating island in melon soup. Delicious! Charming welcome and pleasant terrace.

Can only comment on two dishes which we tried. The beef carpaccio which was freshly out of the fridge so the base of the dish / roquette was very cold (borderline frozen) - we had to leave it for 20 minutes before eating so I would suggest the kitchen takes this off their menu if it cannot be prepared a la minute. Second dish was pasta ; it had been left out post cooking a bit too long so stuck together. Not bad in terms of taste, but consistency could have been better. The classics such as cheese fondue looked good however so would suggest you stick to the basics and avoid going off piste at Le Chalet.

Lunch with colleagues. 28.- tagliatelle with dry chanterelles and very few garnishes (5 mushrooms fought a duel) it's a lot to pay... Too bad, the setting is nice

After a good swim, what's better than a good meal! We ate very well. The hot goat cheese salad is a treat! the staff was very friendly and the chalet atmosphere was really charming! A word of advice during your visit: do not hesitate to book and allow time to eat, because despite their dynamism there was quite a wait due to the high number of customers. (And yet it was already late in the evening). I recommend !

We take advantage of the framework offered to us. The chalet is like a resort and we eat cheese fondue like a resort. Very good. The welcome and service are pleasant. A good, friendly time

Too bad they changed the quality to make figures. The pizzas were better before 2023. If you order a small pizza it is the size of a dessert plate, a little expensive at CHF 16.-. It forces you to order a larger, more expensive pizza. Before there was a large choice of pizzas and now we see that the priority is cheese fondues, the color of which does not tempt you... The wine remains good and the restaurant setting is pretty. The male staff is good but I miss the days when there were pretty women who served us with a smile. ABE before was better...

Ideally placed, perfect for gourmets, good quantity, delicious taste, in a well-thought-out setting. Not noisy, sense of welcome, no waiting. We definitely recommend this first time.

The Le Chalet restaurant lives up to its name. With a great ambience, good cuisine and very friendly and attentive staff, you'll be happy to come here at any time. From the delicious traditional cheese fondue to great stone oven pizza and a selection of steak to a very nice desert, a visit here is also worth it. As stated in previous reviews, the maître d' and the waitress are very disrespectful and rude. They seem to enjoy abusing customers! Our fondue was solid, with a base cheese that was too salty. All for a price that is way too expensive considering this poor quality! The restaurant clearly benefits from its advantageous location next to the Lavey baths, but don't be fooled, run away!!

We have eaten here several times, convenient before or after going to the thermal baths which are located right next door. You will find mainly Swiss/Savoyard specialties (fondue, raclette, dried meat, etc.) which are nothing exceptional if you are from the region but remain of good quality. The service is fast, the staff pleasant and the prices are correct for Switzerland. For the practical side: Remember to book (especially weekends or holidays) because there are few restaurants around the thermal baths, many parking spaces are possible all around the chalet.

After spending a morning at the Lavey hot water spa, a few meters away is this chalet where you can find the specialties of Swiss valley cuisine. The environment is warm and welcoming thanks to the wood everywhere. Many tables, even outside in summer, set in minimal-chic style with paper placemats with typical designs and stylish cutlery and glasses on a beautiful solid wood table. We had the röstis with champignons (grated potatoes seared with a mushroom sauce placed in a Staub pan and finished cooking in the oven) and a cheese croûte (slices of homemade bread with slices of raclette cheese on top and also on a Staub pan and baked in the oven, thus arriving very hot and stringy with pickled onions and gherkins as a side dish/decoration. The mixed salads already dressed with a vinaigrette sauce were excellent. The tatin cake with vanilla ice cream and a Danish cup completed our meal washed down with an excellent French red wine La fortune. The The manager who looked after us was attentive, patient, funny and ready to joke.The cost was in line with the standard of the place and the average in Switzerland.
