Food is average, the chicken was food but all other dishes are average. The service was not exceptionnal, the waiter was shouting at an old woman helping him. In addition, they only have 1.5L bottle of water and the softs are very expensive. 6.7CHF for a Coca-Cola!

The most plain and tastless Lebanese food I have ever eaten

Taken kafta dish, 31ch for 3 dry and overcooked skewers (no taste of spices) with white rice and half a slice of lemon. No sauce or greens. Poor service: the waiter half listened, forgot 2 orders and distributed the dishes at random while talking to 2 other tables. Surprised by the positive reviews, we did not have the same service and restaurant. To avoid !

From previous reviews, it is clear that there are two standards. For the New Year the proposed menu was imposed for 2 people, but despite the price, the quantity has not changed. A shame to serve customers like this. An arduous search for benefits without putting quality, quantity (because yes a minimum is necessary, you don't know how to share 3 skewers and a portion of rice) and service. If I didn't know the Lebanese, I wouldn't set foot there anymore. A shame to bring an exciting New Year to customers who only rely on the proximity of the place. Exorbitantly priced drinks... this lady did everything she could to rob honest people. So when I see the other reviews, I think that either it is not the same restaurant or another chef and another waitress work another day and then we can say that we are in a bad situation. In any case, not on a good day. Avoid, unless you like to be robbed and left hungry. I'm giving 1 star because zero unfortunately doesn't exist.

TO FLEE! To avoid! The owner of the restaurant, a very dishonest lady with blond hair. She literally CHEATED on her New Year's menu. A menu with starter, main course and dessert for 75 CHF so 150 CHF for 2 people supposedly. We were 5 adults and 5 children. She didn't have a children's menu and she clearly forced us to take the New Year's menu even for children! So drinks are not included in the price! And the main course is also served on a single plate for 2 people each time! Below the photo. A bland dish without sauce and with just 3 small skewers (mince, chicken and beef) how do you break the skewer in two?! And the rice? We share it with a spoon?! She kept saying that it's the New Year's menu. Madam, that's no reason to rip people off. You didn’t even make a move on the drinks. This evening, she clearly scammed everyone who was present with the dish. The cost of the evening cost us more than 800 CHF! I have already been to Lebanese restaurants which were much better and reasonably priced. I RECOMMEND AGAINST everyone. Above all, don't go there. His priority is to fill his pockets with money and not to represent good Lebanese cuisine or customer satisfaction. Really disappointed!

Simple, discreet and warm restaurant. The service was impeccable: the waiter is welcoming and helpful, the food came quickly, the dishes are beautifully presented. Prices are reasonable. I had the best shish taouk of my life at a Lebanese restaurant. The hommous took my taste buds on a journey, and their falafel was a delightful explosion of flavors. One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. To avoid ! Bad experience for me and my girlfriend at dinner which was supposed to be romantic: -the tables are very tight -tap water clearly requested and the waiter brings a bottle of still water -I go to the bathroom for a few moments and the waiter harasses my girlfriend twice, asking if she wants an extra drink. He had a very unpleasant and annoying insistent manner. - when choosing, the waiter recommends what is most expensive - I ordered a Lebanese salad for 13 CHF and it was similar to a side salad you find in kebabs -then the main course for 39 CHF, mixed plate, so I expected to have variety with lots of meats and sauces. It is not so; Chicken and meat skewers cooked with white rice without any sauce. A bland dish not finished. -my girlfriend wanted to know if we could at least have a sauce with it, well like in all Lebanese restaurants. The waiter offered us hummus as a separate dish!

Worst Lebanese restaurant ever in my life!!! Pls avoid at all cost!! -1. The price was increased quite alot from what I saw on the fork app. -2. Ordered two main dish for me and my bf, and we were so shocked cuz it’s just plain rice + meat! So tasteless, dry and just ridiculous! Asked if they have any sauce because it was too difficult to eat, and they said we have to order extra sauce which is like another 10+ chf more because their sauce is listed in the appetizer session. Such a rip off! -When we asked why the dish does not come with the sauce like we saw in the restaurant’s picture, they had the audacity to tell us that this is Lebanese cuisine! Ridiculous! I’ve been to Lebanese restaurants many times in my life, and this is the first time I’ve experienced such thing!

Arrogant and unprofessional service, tasteless food at overpriced prices and if you sit outside you are almost sitting on the street. If they are charging such unjustified prices then you can invest something and spice up the terrace a bit... Nice, little amounts compared to the price

A very good Lebanese restaurant on the shores of Lake Geneva. Very safe bet, good welcome and good food. The meat is halal. The service is professional, the restaurant is very beautiful and the setting is incredible. Singer Fairouz makes us travel as if we were in Lebanon. Very nice balcony. Shish tawook and chicken shawarma are delicious. I recommend the lentil soup and fattoush salad. The kunafa is succulent, and I suggest it as desert. Cheap restaurant in the center of Geneva, reasonable price. I recommend this restaurant. It is the best Lebanese restaurant in the city and in Europe.

A restaurant to sincerely avoid. This is the worst Lebanese restaurant I have tried in my life.. Dry dishes, tasteless food, burnt bread and super high prices for nothing.. I am really disappointed with this experience.. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Discovered through assiette genevoise. Food is average, overpriced. Ordered a bottle of wine and they gave us a caraffe instead, could have been any wine, didn’t change it. Bill was incorrect and they did not apply the right discount of the assiette. We asked and yet again they gave us back a wrong amount (60 francs of “mistake”).

Very tasty food. I had the "plat du jour", which was sea bass with a lovely brown sauce, brown rice with crispy onions and a salad. I wish I had chosen the "l'assiette libanaise" because it looked tasty, but no complaints with my dish.

Worst Lebanese restaurant I have ever been. The quality of the food is really is really questionable given that I had to pay 30 CHF for a non tasty dish and I was really surprised that the dish does not even have any hommos or any sauce. Waraq enab was poorly cooked and I had to change it. The previous reviews are absolutely fake!!!

We were in family (5) and everything was just perfect food was excellent. staff was so kind. Highly recommend Shish Taouk. Is a marinade chicken. My wife took vegetarian (falafel) . For kids they have chicken wing they love it. Manager offert us a digestifs in the end was good as well (nectar of kefraya)

The main dishes come with just the meat and a small portion of unseasoned rice and lack core elements to make them eatable by themselves leading to order additional sides. Starters we had were average and small. Overall price too high for what you get. Environment is ok and personal helpful and friendly.

One of the worst place we ever were, I can’t call it the restaurant. Crazy expensive price level (like a fancy restaurants of Geneva), but with poor quality food : - all food is super dry, need a sause, which HAS to be included in the price of the dish, but it’s not, they will charge extra 🤷🏼‍♀️ - portion sizes are not appropriate - ugly serving like you are a received charity free food or smth 😤 Food and overall experience just not cost money charged ☝️

We literally wasted 100 CHF in nothing. We ordered Sarma, and guess what the rice bill as crunchy so we ordered a replacement after we complained. The dish is almost 30 CHF and does not even contain any humus or any sauce. The chicken was barely acceptable, but the kefta was horrible. The water is 10 CHF!!!! I am also surprised by the fake reviews that focus on the fact that it is the first Lebanese restaurant in Geneva!!!! I don’t really care about the history as much as I do care about the food quality and price, so in summary low food quality and extremely high price!

As a Lebanese in Geneva, it's very rare to find an authentic and delicious Lebanese restaurant around. Le Diwane is definitely one of those rare places. Their plat du jour options are very attractive and the option I tried today made me feel back home. Highly recommended!! Bravo.

Delicious food and very well presented. The Hummus, Moussaka and potatoes were exquisite. We went with the fork option with a 50% discount and it was very cheap. The waitress was perhaps too on top of us. But otherwise great. We will be back!

Welcoming Lebanese restaurant, with many vegetarian choices. I tried the falafel and mousaka (eggplant and chickpea stew) along with a glass of the Lebanese wine. Everything was very good. I was a bit disappointed in the bread (thin pita-like served cold) that came with the meal, but perhaps that is typical style of bread for Lebanese restaurants. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

For starters, the staff is not very friendly and they treat everyone differently depending if they’re locals or not. We asked for some help with the dish of the day wondering if maybe we could share some stuff as we wanted to try as many things as possible. Very little help. Moreover, we asked for some tap water and they denied serving it to us but five minutes later we saw the waiter bringing some tap water to another table. The food is expensive, the servings are small and the food is not as good as other Lebanese restaurants I’ve been to. Baba ganoush tasted like cream and you could barely taste the falafel. Very disappointing after the good reviews this place has.

1. Asking for preferred drinks immediately upon handing the menu. Like wait, let us read what options you have first? 2. Saying they do not have tap water. Almost every restaurant offers tap water. And tap water is great in Switzerland. Then charging 10CHF for 1L of tap water ? Rip off. 3. Food is okay. We had foul madammas and cheese kababs. The foul tasted bland and depended on the olive oil for much of its taste. Living in Middle East for 4 years has been ample to let me know this dish wasn't close to the amazing taste foul should have.

Excellent restaurant, one of the best Lebanese in Geneva!

The service is very slow, it takes an hour and a half to deliver the entire order, and the grills have no decoration, no onions, no tomatoes, and the arayes arrived from the outside burnt and from the inside, and the price is never and never as good as the service. I am surprised how this rating is so high, unlike what I saw.. The tastiest thing in the restaurant is cola.

Tasty food but very expensive. The waiters could have also done a better job. We ordered 9 mezze plates in 2 rounds (4 and 5), and that disqualified us from receiving the special price for 9 mezze plates. They could have informed us earlier, it felt like they were trying to take advantage when the bill arrived.

The workers are wonderful, and of course the price list is a little high, and all the restaurants have similar prices. Try the moussaka, hummus, and falafel. They are beautiful.
