A good place to eat in Bulle. The room is beautiful and decorated. As a bonus a barrel organ near the bar which played a beautiful melody. Top service, nothing to complain about. The food is pretty good, although we find it a shame that the fries and vegetable meli-melo are frozen, it's much better when it's fresh!

Super stressed to have just started a beer that we already have to pay for! Amazing!

Most : - The staff was very friendly. - The meat was good. The lessers : - The bread and fries are industrial (the bread is really not great). - The setting is rustic. - The main room of the restaurant is very noisy (but they have a quieter annex room, don't hesitate to ask).

We came for dinner with my partner without reservation. After waiting 15 minutes in the restaurant just after entering out of politeness, no one from the establishment came to meet us. (Even though they had seen us entering and understood that we wanted to have dinner) So we decided to walk towards the bar to ask if it was possible to have dinner for two people. No hello from either person, no glance, a simple wave of the hand to tell us that it wasn't possible. The second person didn't even bother to answer us or look at us. I hope that their way of being, their sense of service and their cuisine are better than their welcome... I strongly advise against this establishment.

I have never been so poorly received in a restaurant as here... the staff responds by mumbling, looking away, does not come to welcome their customers... dismal service

Delicious food, quick arrival at the table, restaurant staff very good and friendly, with only one fault, after eating we waited more than 40 minutes for someone to come and clear the table and bring the dessert menu, but I asked for the bill They didn't even ask me if I wanted coffee.

The Vacherin fondue was very good but the hunting was not refined and the plates deserve a more careful touch of decoration 😉 the waitresses could also be a little more attentive to their customers and not give them the feeling of having to " clear" at the end of the service...

Le Fribourgeois is an institution! The dishes offered are simple, local and widely served. This Sunday lunchtime it was packed. Remember to book! A friendly and lively room, very attentive and smiling staff, a brasserie menu supplemented with regional specialties and hunting offers since the season has just started. No bistronomy or dishes with names complicated, nothing but truth, fair and effective! Ditto wine list. THANKS! And above all, don’t change ANYTHING! 2023 keep it up!

We needed up leaving. The waitress threw her hands up when I spoke English lol. The menu seemed different than what was posted online. Very expensive for a cafe.

Quaint, local pub with a lot of rustic flair, sumptuous and tasty food and friendly, attentive service. A pleasant oasis of well-being.

With my 2 friends Flora and Zabeth. I come often. Nice dish, vegetables cooked too al dente. Not enough mushrooms on the extra puff pastry. Excellent apricot ice cream. The Gruyère cream boletus well presented.

A must place to go in Bulle. They have an orchestrion that they play on demand. The food choice is very local, the quality and price are good and the service friendly

Very good food, it's nice to see that there are still restaurants serving traditional dishes. The only downsides are the lack of space in the premises, which means that the tables are close together and we feel quite crowded, as well as the very loud noise that reigns there when it is crowded. But overall, I really enjoyed my meal and I thank my friend for introducing us to this typical Swiss restaurant!

I'm disappointed, Friborg is no longer what it used to be and that's a shame. The fondue wasn't great at all, the potatoes had that bad reheated taste, especially the potatoes, it feels straight away!! And what I find even more regrettable is having coffee creamer for coffee!! In gruyere and in a place like that!! In the past we were entitled to double cream.

Lots of people and (therefore) a little noisy, especially because the space between the tables is a little too small from my point of view. But the fondues are well worth it because they are very good and the staff is welcoming. Go check it out :)

A very good half and half fondue. The quantities of cheese were really not huge though (2 small/medium fondue pots for 6…). On the verge of 4 stars, but I rate 5, because they were really great, the bread too and the desserts.

The most typical brasserie café-restaurant in Bulle. When you receive a foreign visitor in Gruyère, a meal at Café au Fribourgeois is unmissable. Traditional local dishes, served in a very friendly atmosphere, exceptional value for money. In the room, there is also the orchestrion, a unique instrument in Switzerland, built for the establishment in 1914!

Nice place, excellent fondue but very, too expensive! Staff not very friendly, dishes not always very clean, the meal dried up from the previous one, blah blah. Paper tablecloths don't break a duck's legs, but hey... prefer an atypical gruyere fondue or an alpine pasture.

Improvised visit and we didn't regret it!! Warm and kitsch setting, typical and lively, a real pleasure! A deliciously creamy Vacherin fondue, a friendly and smiling welcome, fast and efficient service, and the gigantic music box to boot! We will definitely come back! (Small downside though for the extra for potatoes instead of bread, whereas everywhere else this is precisely how the Vacherin fondue is served 😓)

Welcome and ate well. We came back 2 years later and the service is still very good. A luxury today and the meal was good. The waitress who served us was kind and attentive not only to us but also to the tables around us👍 If you go through Bulle you will not be disappointed.

“C’est le ton qui fait la musique” - I can only judge the attitude and courtesy of the staff of this restaurant, because I felt so insulted that I decided to leave. I made efforts to speak French, but the staff wasn’t at all accommodating. I had to approach 3 different people before they told me that we could sit down where we wanted. Once we took place at a table that still wasn’t cleaned up, several waitresses passed avoiding any eye contact and not signalising they would come any time soon to clean. It took about 10 min when finanally someone came, cleaning with a annoyed attitude, not greating. As another more convenient table had cleared, I informed they lady we would move there. That’s when she just threw the menus on table saying very angrily to me: “Donc allez-y”. Dear ladies, I understand that you have a busy restaurant and are under pressure. But good manners, a smile and a hospitable attitude are the least a guest can expect in a restaurant.

Great welcome! We followed the waitress's advice and in the end we loved our meal! Big favorite for dessert: boget and Gruyère cream.

This restaurant is exceptional. We have been there several times and both the plate of dried meat and the fondue are made from quality products and are delicious. This place is one of the places you have to go if you want to eat a good fondue in Bulle. There is also an old and very rare musical instrument in this restaurant which is a relic to see at least once in your life, ask the staff ;-). Thank you for everything !

Good dessert, the fries were okay too. Unfortunately the entrecote was not medium but well done. Service was nice and attentive.
