Absolutely lovely spot right next to the lake with good food. The prices were on the higher side for a basic spaghetti aglio olio, but the pasta with the mussels was spectacular. One of the male waiters was really nice, however, the other, one lady, was quite mean and refused to speak English or German, which kind of ruined the experience.

Love this place, we go there every time we are in Montreux. The food and service is great.

We ate a fondue there. It was pretty good and the bread was fresh. It's a change from those restaurants that serve dry bread.

Place was nice, the first man employee was kind. We asked to drink something and maybe eat something if we find. Employee give us a table but second woman employee was total rude from first time! We asked the menu than we asked some wine and drinks but we did not find anything to eat! When we ask for drinkings that woman said you can not drink here rudely like we are her friends.. Said to go the bar of the place. Because of her rudeness we just leave the place!

One of the best restaurants in Montreux! Super centrally located, the restaurant offers a big variety of dishes, drinks and has a friendly staff! Also quite easy to find a spot as the restaurant is very big!

The worst restaurant in Montreux. Rude waitresses, terrible food (we had gastroenteritis the next day) and exorbitant prices. We ate an onion soup that was too salty, the waitress refused to deduct it. A pizza with not fresh tomatoes and penne with a filthy stew. I don't recommend it, this restaurant ruined our Christmas meal!

Cold homemade puree on the plate and tasteless Tasteless mixed vegetables Hot Puree Supplement but Still Tasteless -Good olive oil, fortunately! To conclude, we ate because we were hungry Following this very disappointing observation and clearly different from the previous one, we learned that the establishment had undergone changes over the past 8 months! Too bad the kitchen is no longer up to par!!! Furthermore, at 7:00 p.m., out of 3 toilets (not clean), 2 had no more toilet paper! We will wait for essential improvements before returning!

Restaurant on the lakeside, large and well heated. If the Christmas markets are a pleasure with their climate and atmosphere, the hospitality of a place attentive to customer needs with good food is a beautiful experience to live. Children's and adult menus, local and non-local specialties are available. The portion of mussels was huge :-)

Although it might seem too tourist the food was good and price was reasonable taking in consideration the position and the swiss’ prices.

We got caught up in the atmosphere of the Christmas market and forgot to look at the reviews of the restaurants surrounding the event. It served as a lesson to us. Unfriendly service. Not a complete dish. Server who doesn't understand anything when we tell him that the dish is not complete. Relatively little dish for the price paid. 3.- the pitcher of tap water (500ml no more, measure on the pitcher to be sure not to hydrate us a little more for free, obviously). The dishes were good but nothing more. Nothing to make us forget this bad experience.

We received a fondue that was much too liquid, it looked more like cheese soup... The cheese wet the bread instead of sticking to it. The waitress said it was normal since we had asked for a fondue without alcohol... any restaurant serving fondues should know how to dose it, even when using something other than white wine... The stove was also dirty and probably not very full of gel since it went out a few times. The cheese taste was ok but ruined by the texture. +1 anyway for the potatoes and pickles served in addition. The waiters seemed pretty drunk serving us, except for a few young people who were polite. There are better restaurants in the region, which are less touristy and have a much better quality/price ratio.

For the service and the team, nothing to complain about, however the quality of the dishes as well as the price are not there... It's regrettable because it's a very nice place.

A regrettable incident occurred at Le Metropole where a staff member was caught filming guests without permission, leading to an aggressive and unpleasant confrontation.

I had an unsettling experience at this restaurant. Though the food was good, our meal was overshadowed by a disturbing incident involving a staff member. We caught a waiter apparently taking unauthorized photos or videos of us. When confronted, instead of apologizing, he was combative, telling us to "shut up," and even shouted at us. He attempted to deceive us by switching phones when we asked to see the one he used. This behavior was not only disrespectful but also a serious violation of our privacy. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Patrons' respect and privacy are as crucial as the quality of the food, and unfortunately, this restaurant failed to deliver on the former.

Beautiful views when eating some good food. This was our fist time trying fondue and no one liked it. But it's probably because we disnt like this type of cheese. Service was very slow and you pay a lot of money for 1 person. Alcohol is expensive also. All the other food was amazing. I ate the wild boar lasagna and it was the best I've ever had.

Fabulous evening at Le Metropole. Service from walking in the door was exceptional - really well looked after. We had the fondue with all the trimmings, which was excellent (recommended by our fantastic waiter). If you're in Montreux, I'd thoroughly recommend a stop off for dinner here!

Despite the fact that the restaurant is very busy, the servers are smiling, friendly and efficient. We had a good time on Sunday during lunch and ate our fill.

Excellent place in Montreux for tourists. Kitchen ok breathtaking view service more than perfect. A big congratulations to them, first fondue, we didn't like it, they didn't charge us.

What’s the best thing to do after you climbed the Keep of Chateau de Chillon ? A stroll along the lake while enjoying the view and art installations of course ! How to make it better ? In my experience, by having dinner at Le Metropole then pick the seasonal menu. Their Candied Deer cheek is nothing less than sensational ! 5/5 would return again

Catastrophic 50 minutes of waiting to receive our dishes when there was almost no one there and to top it all off cold mash… cold steamed vegetables and not cooked enough… 25€ very disappointed….

Good location overlooking the lake with our beautiful mountains and a pretty terrace with a beautiful October sun. The mussels and fries are very good at a fair price, the seafood salad is not bad and the rib steak is very good, a little expensive but that's the price. A great time spent with family.

We arrive well before closing and the two waiters instead of serving it are seated, they were not even kind enough to ask what we wanted, since they were seated we left, we said good evening, they are completely fault, because they were busy sitting at the very girls' table. Damage

Attention: I had ordered a 5 dl "normal" non-carbonated water (CHF 3.00 on the menu), but received the more expensive CHF 6.00 Valserwasser. In addition, you cannot order large bottles. A colleague ordered a panache, 5dl. for a whopping 9.- CHF, it's probably not on the drinks menu so that it doesn't scare you away. Waiters constantly forget something. They are also not very motivated at work. No one asks if everything is OK. A little more smile and more joy, then there would be a tip. You suddenly receive an invoice without having ordered it. We noticed there were too many people, too much tipping. Why should you put in the effort...? We didn't give any. We think you have to offer something in return, that's not a given, especially at prices like these. Tiramisu for 13 CHF but no liqueur in it. Little mascarpone, if there was any at all.

Good Meat, location is pleasant. For People that doesnt know the location, just drinking wont allow you to sit on the view part of the restaurant. The spanish guy that served us did a good job on serving.

So the cappuccino was OK. But the waiters were a bit rude and the loud radio music was difficult to tolerate. The average audience there was around 50. The music was loud like in a club and didn't suit the audience. Montreux prices. Cappuccino 5er and Cola 6Sfr. Almost normal for the location

The location and view are very beautiful; however, the service is absolutely terrible. We ordered salad, starters, and main courses then received them all at the same time. The waiter was not attentive, she was very slow, and overall not well-trained. The food was too average for such a high price. If anything, it was below average; including dessert. Would not recommend at all. Very bad experience.

This magnificent restaurant which is located by the lake with a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming staff can leave you wanting to come back to taste the dishes with delicious taste. I recommend that you go and try and taste, for example, the mussels marinière.

Made a nice impression from the outside. Sure, the location at the berth attracts many guests who probably won't come back anyway. At least not in this restaurant, shisha is offered on a large scale in the garden. You can't speak of service here, they're completely off track! According to the map and pictures, it's an amazing location...better pass by!

Food was good. Service wasn't that great.

Too bad that the ambient is breathtaking, because the service is simply terrible. The waiter didn't even aknowledge us, brought us the wrong drinks, which he didn't even apologize for. The place wasn't crowded at all, there were three waiters who kept on putting the blame on eachother... We've been in a lot of different bars, but this one was the most terrible one ever. I suggest visiting any other place than this one.

Impeccable service (thanks to Sylvain for his kindness), however, I have never eaten a salmon tartare this way… The salmon was cooked(!????) and also very spicy (with unpleasant pieces of vegetables in the mouth)... The tartar was really not tasty and needs to be seen again... The mussels on the other hand were good. In summary, very good service but big disappointment with the cuisine which is not really worth it. We feel the fact that it is an establishment aimed at attracting a lot of tourists.

The best lasagna I've had anywhere. We also ordered the four seasons pizza which had very fresh produce. Quick service and an unbeatable view. The staff spoke (at least) three languages which was helpful and they were attentive. If you're looking for Italian cuisine, this is the place to go.

I was last Saturday to go back to eat at the restaurant I wait in front of the door to go back he told me to leave the passage after I just spoke with him she really treated me badly I told him like that treat you your customer, he told me it's you're not happy get out of here I asked for a manager and the worst thing was he was the manager so a good example like that we don't talk about other things I was really disappointed and surprised really bad and poorly educated….thank you very much…

30 Swiss francs per shisha how does that khemem my mother's life is so expensive. I'm a guy from the south in the northern district it's 15€ per hookah and you can get real bars whereas here it's 30 francs per blood wallah you serve.

The so-called manager treated me like trash on Friday December 16, 2022!!! I picked up a customer's scarf from the ground and had a little chat. The one who claims to be director comes to me and accuses me of being disruptive. I defend myself and he seeks at all costs to maintain the upper hand by applying the devious tactic of false reproaches from anonymous third parties. I refuse to let this happen! I'm having a terrible meal! It was my last visit before returning to Canada. I AM DISGUSTED (after being treated well by the staff the previous times)!!!. I am from the Montreux region. There is better in Montreux. This restaurant is a tourist nest! After reading the bad reviews about the poor quality of the food and service, I would avoid this place with its lousy manager during my next visit to the area where I was a kid.
