Catastrophic, I don't have the impression that there is a Lpq that will bother you. I think the problem comes not from the concept, but from what they do with recruitment!!

Quick summary: Hygiene and service need to be completely reviewed. The food, despite everything, remains correct in terms of taste buds and the staff is courteous and pleasant. Detailed experience: Taking the order was very special. This is the first time I felt like the person was doing something other than taking our order. I don't know if it was his first day or not, but the experience was confusing. In addition, following this command, many things did not work. Order error, missing additional toppings, wrong brunch served, the order was at the wrong table,… To top it off, a very beautiful hair was in my dish, which directly took away our appetite. Although mentioned at the service, nothing was done, which is a shame given that we left half of the royal brunch. Although incompetent (a strong word, but justified given the number of errors for a single table and which, having an ear to the other tables, was not unique), the staff is smiling and friendly. I won't come back here again, that's for sure.

Out of all the restaurants, we decided to choose this one because it was frequently used in the past. We compared it to the one we visited a few days ago near Plainpalais, and it was an entirely different experience than at Plainpalais. The service was very good, very fast, and the waiters were smiling. We ordered the tea and capuchino, also tartdepomme. The tart was delicious, we needed to order another. Thanks.

I am a loyal customer and used to the place, I feel at home and this feeling is due to the quality of presence, attention and management of Jessica who instills this same quality in her team What I observed on the other hand and what creates harm is a permanent change of employees clearly since November-December which creates a lack of cohesion and as a customer it is uncomfortable. I would like to salute the quality of work and the attention that is particularly appreciated by the collaborators to thank and highlight: Michele, Leo, Alexandre, Clémence, Justine, Yohan, Dipendra. What deplorable service! Our order, abandoned on a dirty tray on the counter, cools quietly while the person who prepared it prefers to put away their dishes rather than bring them to us, while we are seated 50cm away! When I point this out, not a word of apology but an excuse: she is all alone at the bar! You should think about reviewing your sense of priorities! Result of the shopping, the coffee, with a bad taste, is lukewarm, the "homemade hot chocolate" is anything but hot and strangely resembles nesquick, and at 6.90chf for 3dl, I notice that you really have to pack it down to get the 3dl promised in the bowl: the contents of the glass of water, graduated at 2dl, practically filled it! We leave disappointed, wondering about the frequency of cleaning the coffee machine which is covered in opaque drips, our heads saturated with noise (lack of sound insulation requires), but with one certainty: we will never set foot there again !

Nice servers and place. On the other hand, worst chai latte of my life and the most expensive ever paid. 7.50 chf for barely decorated water. If it were the best chai of my life it wouldn't have hurt me to pay this price, but clearly it's not. Mega sweet cookie that stays on your stomach. I had a better memory of daily bread.

Not family friendly! We were told only the adults could eat there. The children would have to go somewhere else to eat.

Paying 6frs60 for a very small spill (including 1frs of extra oat milk) is unheard of for me!!! Passable coffee but nothing more... I was already not a fan of the channel just because it is a channel, but this finished me off!

Sadly staff still using hands to serve a slice of bread: good habits take time it seems… Otherwise food is delicious and staff very kind

Ordered croissant and hot cappuccino. Requested to warm up the croissant but it came cold. Requested the second time for a hot one. A lady staff took the current one back by hand. She then picked another one from a bread basket with her fingers without wearing any gloves and put that on my plate stating that it was hot. It was unfortunately cold too. Didn't feel any warmth in it. Besides, it was extremely unhygienic for it be touched and served by bare hand. Saw that staff used her palm to remove bread debris from a nearby table. Shouldn't there be a proper protocol for food hygiene? The cappuccino was also lukewarm. Very disappointing.

The service in this restaurant is so bad it's almost comical. A friend and I arrived with my stroller and placed it out of the way, not blocking anything, and we took a table right next to it. The manager (I assume) appeared in a bad mood and told us we had to move as we couldn't sit on that side (it was empty), and forced us to move to the side that was packed, with clearly no room to move the stroller around. No smile, no welcome - simply, 'move'. We eventually found a new table and for five minutes constantly looked over at the staff (quite a few of them), signalling we'd like to order. The staff completely ignored us so eventually we ended up leaving, having not ordered anything. All of my friends who live locally have had similar experiences, and this was the third time for me. Avoid this place at all costs - the service is so bad you get the sense they don't actually want anyone there, not to mention the terrible and overpriced food.

We orders something and we received half complete of it. The person cleaning the table was throwing the rest of the food on the table on the floor and was touching the top of the forks and knifes with her hands. We were surprised 😮

I often went to buy “fresh” juices before heading to work. One of these days I quickly buy a small orange juice for 6CHF, as usual and when I start to drink it I immediately feel that it is fermented... and with no expiration date... that really disgusted me. You can still make the effort to check your products before selling them please. The only thing we ask for is quality, otherwise I will never pay 6CHF for a “fresh” juice at your place again.

Food is good Price is a bit high, 19chf for an avocado toast? Service is slow and have to remind them everything including cleaning the table before serving us. Birds are everywhere and eating everything as clients also feed them, hygiene is probably an issue. It’s a good place for grab and go but not staying there for long unfortunately.

Gone here a few times as we live close by. Food is always good quality. Price is reasonable too. Sometimes staff are not that friendly and helpfull and sometime they are great

I regularly eat at the daily bread and each time I am very well received, the products are fresh and well presented. The service is top notch.

I was recommended this by son who frequents this place regularly. The service was appalling. Not a smile on any of the waitresses. Not even a welcome. I asked for some muslei followed by soft scrambled eggs and toast. The bread I chose I was told NO, not possible until I bought the whole loaf from which they would make my toast. Guess what after a long wait I received the whole order in one go. The eggs were on a bed of salad and tomatoes which I had not asked for and the eggs were firm. Tea was cold and the whole experience at the price charged was a waste of good money. I will never return again.Breakfast at the Four Seasons hotel is far better- pricey but atleast you get the view as well.

The LPQ atmosphere, yes. It's friendly, it's pretty, it's home. On the other hand, the rest often (not all the time) exasperates me. Service is slow and rarely motivated - apart from two servers who are energetic. If you want boiled eggs, skip it. If you point out to them that 18 minutes of waiting is a bit much for cooking, there's a good chance they'll respond with "oh yes, it's the machine". I order smoked salmon (alone), I end up with a salad leaf between two slices. The salmon had probably been taken from a salad served. I underline it, I am told “ok”. I also use the toast next to the cloths to clean the tables (in photo). In short, I waited months before asking for my opinion but after 7 or 8 times of bad experiences, I'm tired of it! Restoration is like in a relationship, beautiful memories and love are not enough.

To start on a positive note, the pastries and pies are good and the drinks are completely normal without mentioning any gastronomic exception. Why I say exceptional is because the prices are exceptional even for Switzerland. 2 grenadine syrups for children - 8.40fr., a latte macchiato (coffee with milk) - 7.20fr. Strawberry tartlet - 7.90fr. There are establishments which, despite the high price, leave a mark in the memory through a taste experience or extraordinary service. For Le Pain au Quotidien, I will remember the prices.

I don't usually have a good image of service. Drinks are not good except for coffee. The bread is delicious. Some of the staff are really nice.

I stopped going to this place for a reason but today I was invited and I didn’t say anything. The quality of their products are horrible. Tomatoes without taste. Avocado the same. Rocket leaves almost dying. My friend ate a tarte and she said it is the worst. And you pay a lot for this. The service is also not good. Everyone serving looks so unhappy. Not a smile nothing. And although I didn’t continue eating and said the ingredients are not fresh and send it back we still had to pay for something not eaten. What a great customer service! They have a great location and that’s why it is full. It cannot be the good food.

It's good, but it won't be everyday like bread.

I ordered a cappuccino and they served me a large cup with more foam than coffee. For 5.6 you have to dose💀

Impeccable service but the prices are a little inflated.

I had the opportunity to go there in May and I'm mixed, The reception went well the prices are no, I'm French maybe that's what shocks me because we're used to low prices I had an Emmental ham sandwich (I'm not sure but it was with ham and cheese I think) 10 Swiss Francs which comes to 8 or 10€ so ok I was disgusted But the rest was perfect!

Great place, great if you have children. Awesome service. Great welcome. Brunch at the top. Truly my favorite place in Geneva for weekend brunch. I highly recommend !

Nice place, some nice waitresses but others not at all. The raisin breads are average, made with brioche bread.

I had a coffee croissant. I waited 5 minutes for someone to come and ask me. Three waitresses with 2 tables including mine. Frozen croissant sock juice coffee. Excessive price.

Recommended if you want good coffee and are tired of waiting for the AEMG coffee machine to be repaired. On the other hand, remember to register on the organ donor list if you want to eat there cheaply...

I went to Pain Quotidien on Thursday in torrential rain and found a very warm atmosphere there. The waitresses are charming and smiling. The coffees are made with love...I recommend the latte macchiato!

Excellent quality, reasonable price, very friendly and super efficient service

The location is perfect and the place is nice but service is difficult. The staff seems to be tired or overworked or something in this sense. If you show up and try to get something from them they seem to loath it. Like they wish they would not be there or like if you would bother them in their own kitchen. A smile or a bit of kindness to customer would go a long way. They either need to be paid more, work less hours or motivated for customer service some other way. It would mean a lot for the place.

Great location with a large sunny terrace. The dishes are without garlic, which is hard to find in Geneva. There is a choice and everything is good! Don’t hesitate to taste the seasonal dishes! I especially appreciate the conviviality (the key word of this channel) created largely thanks to the incredible team who works there. Always smiling and friendly (despite sometimes unpleasant or even disrespectful customers. Their good humor and energy is contagious! A huge thank you to Jess, Mika, Tonja, Marina, Leo, Johann, Robel, Anne-Pascal and those I forget ! :-)

I usually really like daily bread, but today the service was terrible, after waiting 20 minutes to order, my coffee never arrived...

I love the food and the service! This is my favorite cafe in Geneva.

Friendly staff and quality products I recommend +++++++

I went for brunch on Saturday September 3, 2022 and I was extremely disappointed by the welcome and service of the staff. Not a smile, drags to serve, I just had the impression of annoying them with each request but the worst are the incessant conversations between the waiters who openly criticize loudly and clearly the other customers on the terrace, I quote for example: “he has nothing to do with his days” for an elderly person who came to ask for his jug of water for the 4th time or again: “I don’t know what people have today. are annoying and stressed” and all this without worrying about the customers inside.. I love the daily bread especially in the Champel district since I live there but I find it really unfortunate that for a brand of this name, the waiters ruin the experience.

I had a very good experience of daily bread in Belgium. Very disappointed today during my visit to Champel. Asked for a cappuccino to take away. I received a latte but no capuchin on. The salad was a better choice with good quantity/quality but did not receive a slice of bread with it. Rather expensive for what it offers.

I advise against. The coffee is not good at all, it looks like flavored water and the welcome from the staff is very cold, no politeness.

I want to love this place. The proof, I’m going back! But the experience is often mixed: charming decor and terrace, uneven service: sometimes very friendly and fast, sometimes not at all. Noisy due to the layout: the staff takes the dishes out of the dishwasher and puts them away in the middle of the restaurant, the same goes for all the verbal exchanges of the same staff (who sometimes even sing, we like it or we don't like it…) which therefore add more noise. Great menu with vegetarian and vegan options. Very good vegan toast with fresh produce but served on a mini board (it spills all over the table) and is difficult to cut with a knife that cuts poorly...and a little expensive (18.-) for what it is. Drink served without ice cubes and windows left wide open in a heatwave….in short, a lot of potential but we have the impression that the place is relying a little on its geographical and visual appeal and there are a few points to improve

Terrible service and dirty glasses. Waiting 20 minutes for the plate du jour (quiche et salade) seems a bit excessive when it’s not a busy service. Salad was prepared without any gloves and when asked was told it’s ‘standard practice’. I’ve seen others in the neighborhood handling raw food (including across the road) and afaik reusable gloves are standard. Would definitely recommend to support other businesses in the neighborhood!!!

Menu price expressing a certain standing, absolutely not reflected by the on-site experience: We had to eat with 12 bees circling around us and I had to act by placing a spoon of jam at the opposite corner of our table so as not to risk swallowing one of these insects which do not travel far and therefore come from the neighborhood close ! Our dog did not receive water from the serving team. (As is 100% the case in any other establishment in my canton when I sit down with him!) in the menu under accompaniments we find the title: orange juice 3dl 1.50 CHF which in fact means that the 'we can add to the 6.00 CHF orange juice of 2dl, 1dl... sic... the same with coffee which can be a double espresso for 1.50 in addition to the basic 3.80... please what is this proposal? The concept would be during brunch we order a coffee at the base price then for each of the coffees which will follow 1.50 more, there you have a concept which deserves to be included on the menu, otherwise add the double espresso or the 3dl juice to the drinks menu... the proposed bread board is worded: rye bread, nuts, cereals, wheat, baguette, we received 4 slices of bread including 2 white and 2 of bread filled with pieces of dried fruit... the proposal was returned to the waiter who was kind enough to replace the 2 small pieces of dried fruit bread with the said rye bread, what about the cereal, nut and wheat bread? Let's be clear the line between the standing which supposes an increased price and the scam is crossed in these examples.

The place is very beautiful, the large calm terrace, the croissants very yummy, the staff smiling.

It’s a charming little cafe with particular attention to the decor. The Champel location used to play nice music however the new staff seems to have forgotten to turn it on. The service is very inconsistent. Sometimes they serve you at the table, sometimes you have to go to them. Generally the staff seems miserable. I’ve only met one exception but he no longer appears to be working at the café. So much potential for this little café but it’s staff needs a turnover!

The waiters don't seem to get along, the atmosphere is electric between them. I wait at my table for about 10 minutes, none of them meet my gaze. I call one (not a smile). I ask for an espresso with a glass of water. I get my espresso 5 minutes later (still no smile), but no glass of water. CHF 3.80 for my coffee Sighs...

Delicious we enjoyed it, however very noisy local area.

Sadly the brunch options all come with a stand of communal jams that passes from table to table 🤢 I saw a kid stick his finger in a jar 🤮and this is what you see… imagine how many others do it! So if you care about safety, the brunch is out of limits.

The coffee has always been disappointing, and served in a French bowl... Moreover, the reception is slow and inefficient. There is particularly one member of staff who emanates an antipathy unmatched to this day. I never understood the concept of daily bread in Switzerland, the prices are exorbitant for not much. Certainly the products are fresh, especially the quick sandwiches. However, the establishment leaves something to be desired compared to the daily bread that I was able to experience abroad, such as in London for example. Too bad, couldn't do better!

Yesterday afternoon, extremely noisy environment: the staff were handling and putting away the dishes with a loud noise, giving the impression that customers were not welcome. This was especially noticeable after rush hour, when most people had left. Doesn't make you want to come back.

Poor service and the coffee is bitter and thin! Not to come back.

Very pleasant, very good mochaccino 👌 However, I give 4 stars because I personally prefer when calm is preserved by the staff. Some people may like it when there is entertainment, or it may be the spirit of daily bread, but I prefer when the discussions between servers are less noisy 😌 I recommend it though!

Quaint neighbourhood restaurant cafe with superb frienly staff. My family went in for an early brekkie one sunday morning. Having compared it to the one in London, the quality of the food was not similar I have to say. Some elements of the order were also left out which was a bit annoying however the staff were very polite and were apologetic. I am an avid coffee lover and i have to say I was a bit shocked when i asked for a macchiato and recieved a latte/cappunccio combo. Coffee was very average given you have an amazing setup, I got my hopes too high! Will be back hoping it has improved :)

I am very shocked by the price of apple pie bought to take away: 7.30 francs for a very small slice of pie that was thrown to us in a small box!!! Also the price of chocolate which is 6 francs, etc. etc. ! In addition, the staff is overloaded and overworked, which obviously prevents them from being smiling! The noise from coffee machines etc. is infernal, as is that of customers when there are a lot of people. Too bad, because the place is nice, but in all the years that this establishment has existed, there has been no progress in any area and the employees do not seem happy, which is unacceptable! I do not recommend this establishment and will not go there again! I prefer to go to Panetier de la Pallanterie which supplies Le Pain Quotidien with tarts and cakes and where the prices are more reasonable!!

6fr. For a super expensive “homemade” chocolate that is far from value for money, I don’t recommend it.

Quite expensive..lots of green salad and little goat cheese regarding the hot goat cheese salad. Much too noisy and the spaces between the tables too small...we jostle between back to back chairs

Friendly place. I love the wooded side of the establishment. The bowls in which you are served coffee, chocolate or other things remind me of my childhood. Mini outdoor park for children. The decor is warm! Bakery products and pastries are of good quality. The friendliness of the establishment gives you the impression of being at home!

Rarely on the map! But it really is time to review your organization!

Great stuff...they have good Vegan and vegetarian options too! I love their tartines of humous..it's yummy. Also their Assiete Botanique (vegan) is very good. Staff is nice and polite. Good vibes. Only 1 tiny problem...their coffee machine handling sound is very loud and after 1.30pm in the afternoon, they make lots of noise of utensils inside...Otherwise all is good ;)

The place has a nice vibes if you don't mind waiting 30 minutes to get your food (which is simple scrambled eggs). The staff are overwhelmed and of course they got so late in hosting us, taking our order and getting our food. The food was good though. Of course overpriced. I don't recommend that you would go there if you have less than 1.5 hours to spare.

The terrace is very pretty. The courteous, if not warm, welcome... I had the dish of the day: a cup as big as an espresso cup with gazpacho, a fairly small slice of quiche and a decent portion of salad (green, because 2 carrot threads and 2 tomato wedges, that's it! ). In short, rather good, but very "fair" in quantity. When I got home, I ate bread with ham. I was hungry....we should be a little more generous with the quantities for 19 francs, please.

The breads and pastries are just delicious! The setting is pleasant with a little “old-fashioned” touch, I only go there for my breakfast! The staff is pleasant and attentive and above all: SMILING! THANKS !

I really enjoyed my experience at Pain Daily. We go there from time to time on Saturdays to have brunch and it’s a treat!

6.90 CHF for a small cake is expensive when delivered with no smile. The service feels a bit lethargic and not welcoming in comparison to Pain Quotidien in other countries. The coffee tastes bitter, a barista missing. There are much better options in Geneva for friendly coffee and cake. The bread is good, though.

Good welcome, everything is good, price a little expensive, but we are very good there. I often come with new friends... and the toilets are clean and available. Well done..

The warm atmosphere, everything is good. A small downside on the crafts for the children: everything in disorder, the pencils unusable because they were not sharpened, lack of paper, very damaged toys - a shame for this family place.

Poor welcome, the Barista lacks hospitality! No musical atmosphere, dirty toilets and tables, lack of cleanliness... As someone who is a regular at Le Pain Daily, the one in Champel will be my first and last experience! We had the impression of disturbing him, no advice, nothing he's waiting for... I put 1 star for the bad service.

Very pleased with this place. I’m a vegetarian and I’ve come here twice and they’ve offered to make me a vegetarian sandwich as there were none pre-made on display. The staff is always warm, smiley and helpful. The tea room closer to my place never offers to make them. Thank you!
