Le Petit Saigon in Biel/Bienne

The atmosphere was ok. The waiters/waitresses seemed lost and a little unfriendly. We had hot pot and apart from the vegetables which were good, the meat and seafood were not fresh and of very poor quality, and the taste was mediocre. I expected better products for the price (80chf/two people). Despite this, the drinks were still good.

We had reserved a table for two for Valentine's Day, after 45 minutes of waiting we had not even received a menu. The waiters passed by our table multiple times and despite the insistent looks, no one took care of us. Very disappointed with the evening, we left without eating anything.

Two very negative experiences that require important organizational changes. First negative experience occurred when requesting takeaway Hot Pot, and after a long wait the broth (the main part of the meal) was not delivered. Second equally negative experience but this time at the restaurant... They didn't have 4 types of appetizers ordered, a beer was forgotten which after re-requesting it arrived but of the wrong type. Next surprise... in the case of a third person for the hot pot, half the cost of an additional menu is not counted, but rather they are charged half with a high surcharge. Finally the hot pot, although very good, is excessively expensive for what you receive. Small quantities of meat and any side dish (such as rice or spaghetti) are paid extra. Big shame, because the food is good but the service and the cost for an important dish on the menu do not justify another visit.

Service was super friendly! Food is always served very early and beautifully prepared. The price I pay is definitely worth it. Always happy again!!

Cold food, incorrect dishes and to top it off, a stone in a spring roll. Attempt to Vain reimbursement, broken promises, and a categorical refusal to reimburse on the spot with a false accusation. Avoid this unreliable place at all costs for 50 francs."

A friend had a very bad experience, disastrous food, not the right dishes, 1 hour 45 minutes of waiting and the manager did not want to reimburse her.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. After placing an order for 80 francs, the hour-long wait caused me concern. When I contacted the restaurant I was assured that they would keep me informed. Unfortunately, the order arrived after 1:30, and the food was cold, tasteless, and worse, there was a stone in one of the dishes. My attempts to obtain an explanation were in vain, as the restaurant owner did not answer my calls. Finally, my sister went there, where she was promised a refund. Unfortunately, this promise was never honored. An overall disappointing experience, marked by slow service, poor food quality and a lack of professionalism in handling issues. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

Very tasty food but having been to Vietnam this restaurant could be more traditional. The service is great and fast. The only downside is the lack of heating inside.

The hot pot was very filling and excellent. There's Vietnamese beer, cool. More people should eat on site, not just order, that's what I wish for the team.

We paid Fr. 67.50 for 2 cookies, 4 cherry tomatoes, 3 small pieces of corn, a few mushrooms, some onions and greens. Everything was raw and cold, so it didn't even need to be prepared by the restaurant. Never again...

Delicious dishes, calm Sunday atmosphere. Spicy dishes are indicated using an icon 🌶️. The pho bo could have had more various vegetables but it was succulent. The frozen mochis were really delicious!

Food was decent but nothing I would come back to eat again. Would've liked more spices and sauces in the dishes.

Very good and tasty food. One star deducted because we had to wait 35 minutes for the drinks and around 60 minutes for the food. The waiter was very friendly, but alone and the restaurant was full. But otherwise great!

For a birthday party, a big disappointment! Good dishes but service to be reviewed urgently! Lots of waiting. Server not attentive at all, lost in his tables. Didn't even serve at the end of the meal. Didn't offer us dessert. Not kids friendly.

Fantastic food, flavours were amazing and the most friendly & accomodating staff they were also very patient and helpful with us that couldn’t read or understand the menu in their language. They really made our evening an experience to remember, thank you ( from the group of 9 Australians )

Nice decor, very calm atmosphere, good service but a little disappointed by the quality. The pork in the gua bao was tough and the tacos industrial (plus the fact that the beef fillet version is a raw tartar is not explicit on the menu). All very expensive (cheapest open red wine at 9.- per dl). Bubble tea was not available.

Wide choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Food very tasty, service also friendly. Price for the main meal OK But the dessert (chocolate tiramisu) was CHF 15.- Unfortunately I didn't look at the price on the menu because it was offered verbally. In my opinion it's too expensive. Otherwise it's great.

Went here for dinner with my travel companion (2 Taiwanese young ladies). The two loved the taste of the Pho noodle soup. They were beaming from ear to ear while eating. I thought it was great that the soup was served in lava stone, still boiling hot. This means the soup stays hot for a very long time. How the soup is still bubbling when served 😄 is a real experience. Tastes great! Thanks so much!

Food is ok. Unfortunately not entirely authentically Vietnamese :( There were 3 of us and unfortunately the food didn't all come at the same time. Price is rather too high for what you get.

Very good flavor, but the portion is too little.

This place is charming and the service very friendly. Everything is homemade, even the sauces and desserts. I tasted a Pho which put me back on my feet and took me on a journey during the tasting. I'm looking forward to discovering the whole menu. The prices are a little high but it's worth it if you want to eat healthy and typical cuisine.

After 1 hour of waiting without food and a warm homemade ice tea, I asked if I could have cold water instead of ice tea. That didn't happen either....did the consequences, got up and left. Byeeee felicia!

The tasty was good and service was not bad but it is too expensive for right quantity..even we ordered the largest size! we were still so hungry after eating all and felt eating same thing in zurich is less expensive and enough quantity..

I have already had the opportunity to go there a few times and I am never disappointed by the quality of the dishes. The only downside is the price, sometimes a little high compared to the quantity, but the taste is there! The Pho Bo soup is really delicious and the service is quick.

Had spring rolls, dum sim, rice noodles, skewers. Everything tasted excellent and was well prepared. Some dishes are only available on certain days of the week. Many dishes with pork. A bit expensive, but I'll still come back ;)

Simple and modern decor, glass view of the kitchen. Fast and pleasant service (1p). Very happy with my pho, but I don't have many points of comparison. The only downside, a lack of information on the website, no online map.

Food was good (not very authentic, but still ok) and the service was very nice. Only the portions are a little small for the price. The restaurant looks very nice, with small Asian decorations.

At the former Rihs café, this new, well-decorated restaurant now offers a Vietnamese menu. On the menu, several Asian dishes (spring rolls, noodles, etc.) served in an original way. On the other hand, nothing very original on the plate, but it's still OK! There are still some adjustments to be made in terms of the service but that is normal at the start. Let's hope that the menu will soon be expanded with more typically Vietnamese specialties and the 5 stars will be there! We hope so, Bienne is seriously lacking in offers of this kind! To try: Vietnamese coffee, excellent!
