This café/restaurant is built on a natural terrace overlooking the Martigny region of Switzerland. The place everyone wants to sit is outside of course, only problem there is the traffic.... It's a renowned road to the Mont Blanc (Chamonix FRA) and for Bikers especially an absolute dream of a road.... So, if noise is ok, it's fabulous.... Otherwise sit indoors and try to get a window seat .... Peaceful and wonderful views.... The food is fine. The Menu is uncomplicated and what they serve is tasty. Good beer .... Big + for me Just be aware of the parking situation. It's free, and usually busy....

Food was ok so far but also a bit overpriced for Swiss standards, but when paying with a card they simply try to rip you off. My bill was 406 francs, the waiter tried to convince me at the card machine to accept the rate in euros and then bill it in €, which would have been €485. Absolute rip-off because €436 would have been the right amount.

Went in here at 11.30am today (a Sunday morning) after starting an early drive from FR to IT as Mont Blanc tunnel shut. Lovely scenic snowy drive, wanted a coffee and something savoury, so popped in here, was met by a lady who I assume was the owner, who was less than welcoming. Asked if we could have a coffee (in French) and was told snootily ‘yes we ARE a restaurant!’ - so had 2 coffees for SF9! Then asked for something savoury like a croque monsieur. This clearly offended as was told ‘if you want something like that you need a Wimpy’ we’re a RESTAURANT. SO RUDE. Suggest with such an attitude in a tourist destination and attraction (view) a change of vocation is needed. So we shall not be returning.

Certainly the most beautiful thing is the view, the panorama. We were passing through, heading to France and we had a little coffee break...€8 worth of coffee...but oh well, I understand...it's a shame that the coffee wasn't exceptional. But the lady who served us was very kind :)

Instead of a chocolate croissant, we got a cheap chocolate roll wrapped in plastic. The coffee wasn't good and the restaurant was far too expensive for the less than pleasant experience.

It was disgusting the lady treated us .We stopped at this restaurant for a coffee and had to keep kids in the car since they didn't want coffee.She asked us to leave if everyone doesn't buy coffee as she wanted the car park to be utilised by others.Also she was harsh and racist on her words and she was keep on saying "This is switzerland " not france or Italy.We will never go to this restaurant neither recommend to anyone.

I would not recommend anybody to go in this restaurant as I had the worst experience ever. The Lady (Owner) treated us very badly. She was racist from the start. We were told that if we did not buy coffee for all, then we need to leave. So, we did. She repeatedly said " This is Switzerland ". Appalling customer service !!!

This restaurant called "le Virage" (the Curve) is located on the convex side of the first hairpin curve after you left the city of Martigny in Wallis for the Forcaz pass. You really needed some fantasy to find that name! There is less fantasy on the restricted menu but the owner told me her chef was going to restart cooking Tex-Mex end of January. I hope this is going to attract more visitors because I was the only guest having dinner last night. My filet of beef was cooked according to my instructions and served with half cooked French fries and some uninspiring vegetables and not very good value for money. The choice of wine by the glass is very limited. There are enough nice views from the dining room to allow for a geographical conversation with your invitees.

Unfortunately, we were only at this wonderful viewing point in the afternoon and were only able to enjoy a delicious apple pie. That's why I left the food unrated.

Very good views, it has a small terrace and some nice exits inside. The food: a salty pizza, a delicious but very, very salty snail with mushrooms and a crow burger that was impossible to eat with a very strange taste. We asked for mineral water, it was brought without a cap so the question remains about refilling the tap. The disabled toilet is on the same floor but for the rest you have to go down to the catacombs.

You can't give enough stars here. We were there yesterday and today and were welcomed and served in such a friendly manner by different people, I am absolutely thrilled. The "renversé", as the milk coffee or café au lait is called here, was very good. And the croissants were freshly baked. Where else is there like that? The view is magnificent. Very clean toilets. This is definitely my "place of 2022" and I would invest 1 - 2 days of my vacation to spend the night here, in the sharp curves and in the steep vineyards.

The lady greeting us when we came in was extremely rude. It was lunchtime and the place was empty, told us to choose a table and when we sat on the only table by the window she complaint that it was a 4-person table so we couldn't sit there (remember, we were the only clients there well into lunchtime hour). She then proceeded to move us to a table the same size, with 4 chairs as well, but only service for 2. When we pointed this out, and asked if the tables could be switched (they were identical in the end!), she stared and spoke quite aggressively at us, so we just stayed on the new table. She then proceeded to tell the situation to her partner, just 3 metres from us, as if we weren't there, saying we had made an outrageous (??) suggestion and complaining about us being the only customers. We ended up leaving after just looking at the menu, because the atmosphere was not comfortable. I now understand the poor reviews this place has.
