A real jewel in Lausanne: fantastic home-made vegetarian food. Small menu changing frequently. Only fresh ingredients. Combined with outstanding service and a personal note, this is by far my favorite place for lunch in Lausanne.

Perfect place to stop to eat, rest and taste delicious vegetarian dishes. We tried the soup of the day, the bowl and the burger. Everything was really delicious. The attention was perfect.

The food was good, unfortunately the service during our meal was OK, the problem happened afterwards. I left, leaving my friend at 1:30 p.m. who had a zoom call. She had to do it in the restaurant and therefore moved as close as possible to the front door and far from the others (5-6 customers in the entire restaurant). She didn't speak loudly because I didn't even hear her speak as she left. She doesn't speak French but English and was kicked out of the restaurant like a mess, threatening to call the police if she didn't. It's shameful to act like this. We will never return to a disrespectful establishment like that... too bad.

The food was good, although the service was not so friendly. We were two people having lunch, and afterwards I had to take a meeting call. They were rude and said that it’s not a place to work at and that having a call was not acceptable (even though my speaking volume was the same as the normal conversation I had just before). I tried to explain in a friendly way the importance of the call and that it was going to be short. I was even sitting furthest away from all other customers so no one could get bothered. The waitress then sent her male colleague to speak with me and even threatened to call the police. So I had to awkwardly explain the situation to the person I was on the call with and reschedule our meeting. This has never happened to me before at a cafe/ restaurant when I’ve had to take a call. I’m not going back here again, unfortunately.

I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars. This is not at all my style of restaurant, nor my way of life. That being said, the dish of the day (chili sin carne) was excellent (except the cucumber pickles which I didn't like). Everything was well seasoned and the staff was friendly. Nothing negative to say.

Food is good, cozy and nice place, but the coffee needs improvement. Specialty coffee would be a great addition to this lovely new brunch venue.

Very good address, location and welcoming staff. Everything on the menu appeals and it was difficult to make a choice. The burger and bowl are excellent, as are the pastries and carrot cake. Healthy, homemade, plant-based or vegetarian cuisine, with a menu that is renewed regularly. A special mention for the manager who kindly offered me an option for payment because my card did not work. A big thank you for your welcome and your trust🙏 I can only recommend this restaurant for its tasty cuisine and the quality of the welcome given to customers. One thing is certain, I will come back during my next visit to Lausanne!😊

A very nice place recently discovered, a little hidden in the gallery which joins rue de Bourg to rue du Rotillon. But the view from the room is well worth the detour. Low angle view of the cathedral. I'm not vegetarian/vegan but I really like going there. The kitchen is very good.

The best restaurant in Lausanne.

Perfect lunch light and healthy, fresh and tasty. So many vegan options. Seemed everything was organic too. Cafe-cum-lunch stop with gorgeous view of the cathedral. Loved the bowl of the day. Also the desert (vegan brownie) was amazing. Fresh made juice also was delicious. Recommend for a homemade & good-for-you meal. Food was prepared quickly also. Central location.

Great restaurant, one of the best in Lausanne, at least for lunch. My wife was in a bit of a hurry and mentioned it when arriving. Between the time we entered and the time she left, not even half an hour had passed! I was then able to enjoy (alone) an excellent dessert. The polenta was light and so was the bowl. Affordable prices, quality food and attentive service.

Excellent vegetarian discovery! Warm and friendly welcome, attentive to possible allergies. The dishes are very good and healthy! Nice offer on the Fourchette available with (dish of the day + water + hot drink + half a brownie = 29CHF). Varied dishes and good portion. A real treat! On the other hand, it's a noisy place but it's still okay. I recommend with or without an offer, to discover and be tempted!

Lovely food and lots of options for vegans!

Everything was delicious!!! We had the 2 egg toast and the banana with peanut butter toast, a croissant, and an energy ball! Everything was really good! The oat matcha latte was perfect:)

I love the concept of L’Echo. A vegetarian restaurant that I really like with a diversity of flavors. Very warm welcome :) However, I find it a shame that the restaurant is not committed to local and seasonal food. Zucchini doesn’t grow all year round ;)

My husband and I ordered the pea soup (du jour) which came with bread, and a bowl, all vegan and gluten-free. Very tasty and well spiced. We also ordered a chocolate mousse (vegetarian) and an apple pie. Not too sweet which is what we prefer as we usually don’t eat sweets. And a fresh ginger lemon drink which was fresh and well balanced. We did not have an English menu to order from but our waitress was very helpful (and friendly) and explained the menu options very well. I only wish we were staying in Lausanne so we could return. Definitely recommend.

Welcoming and smiling staff. Very friendly place. The dishes are good, healthy and tasty. Only downside: when ordering at 12:45 there was nothing left to eat compared to what was offered in the daily specials or menus. More quiche, more burger… too bad.

I highly recommend eating at this little restaurant. Extremely welcoming, very good and very high quality. Right in the center of Lausanne, access is easy and we have a very warm atmosphere. We were able to eat the burger. I am a very big eater and the dish largely satisfied me. Come without delay!

I cant believe how highly rated this place is (4.9 at time of this review). The 20$ balance bowl is a scoop of hummus, boiled broccoli, and undercooked pasta over a leaf of lettuce. That's what a bachelor's student throws together from leftovers in the fridge. I don't get it.

I opted for the dish of the day, a chef's choice. No complaints. Top quality/price service! Big positive point for the view, yet in the center. You can even see the cathedral there.

Very good product, fresh, organic and above all local. The dishes are very good. I am not vegetarian, but this establishment proves to us that we can do without meat. Given the many possible and imaginable varieties that we can create and echo does it very well with its vegetarian and vegan products. I recommend. The cookies are delicious.

We didn’t realize October 1st is a World Vegetarian Day, it has existed since 1977. Coincidentally, we had lunch here on that day! We were pleasantly surprised by the food options (gluten free, vegan options), quality of the food, service, and atmosphere of this restaurant. We will gladly recommend L’Echo to anyone. We had a veggie burger, a boulgour plate with mushroom sauce, a sponge cake with orange blossom essence and orange salad. Every bits and every bites were delicious!

Cozy little restaurant with a superb view of the city. The dishes are fresh, light, that’s a change! The majority of the menu is vegan/lactose-free and/or gluten-free. The dishes are super good and so are the desserts. Pleasantly surprised and not at all the image I had of “healthy” food. Next step: display the daily specials on the site or on social networks 👍🏻

Fresh cuisine, full of tastes and flavors. For me who loves meat, I don't miss it at all when I go to this restaurant. The plates are lively and colorful. A lovely drinks menu and delicious plant-based pastries all day long! I will go back there.
