It was bombastic. There were two of us and we chose the 6-course menu. Every course was a masterpiece and super tasty. The service was also top. Teamwork at its best. The sommelier in particular was excellent and gave us great advice. The staff were young, relaxed (but still very serious) and attentive. We felt very comfortable. Thanks for the great experience

What confusion! I was served by the entire brigade of waiters and in all Swiss languages ​​at the same time, with the exception of Romansh which was replaced by English; English and Italian came through even when my boyfriend spoke in German, which is supposed to be the local language, while German came through when I tried to speak in French or English. Well, complicated, especially if each server came to ask what was already requested by the previous server. The food was good, period, nothing more and no research. The ingredients were quite good and the presentation nice. I would be more generous with compliments if the place had half the stars. Funny dessert, which wanted to be a cross between German and Italian culture, unfortunately to obtain Italian cuisine you cannot limit yourself to adding half a ton of mascarpone and ciao belli. Two stars for the beautiful place, which was frankly superb.

To begin with, I find it a bit of a shame to host this restaurant in a very nice hotel (yes, don't go there to eat). to start, the aperitif: having to wait 10 minutes to have a glass of wine served. everyone speaks Italian or English; we respond in French, no problem, they continue in Italian. table service: disorganized and the waiters continue to speak in English or Italian, if we respond in French or German, they continue in Italian. the dishes: correct starter, insufficient main course (quality of meat, uncontrolled cooking), dessert rarely seen such nonsense. yes, I forgot, I am in a 15 Gault Millau; never been so disappointed by a star brigade.

What can I say.... A beautiful restaurant. But the 17 Gault Millau points... It's not understandable. We serve you a 4-course meal in less than an hour!! We have 10 servers for 40 people But they can't remember what language you speak. We speak to you in English. In French. In German. And the poor customers are confused. You therefore have to be trilingual to get by. Everyone is polite. Everyone is helpful. The dishes are good but not exceptional. Then you are presented with 4 dishes but no possibility of changing. If you do so... Instead of the 135.- charged... You will be charged 50.- and you can attack the card. It's really a shame. We can make efforts on this point and on the choice of dishes. And avoid 3 languages ​​at the service. And a detail. We present the bread to you without giving you the name of the bread. A bit of a shame too. We can therefore really hope for better from the summer opening. It will come. Let's hope so at least. Ultimately, the right dessert will still leave a good impression. It's already good.

Arriving at the hotel, where Leonard's is located, the holder of one Michelin star, a doorman promptly and pleasantly met us and offered to help with outer clothing. On the way from the lobby to the restaurant, it is impossible not to pay attention to the fashionable interior of the hotel and a lively atmosphere with a slight hipster accent in the bar. You pass a huge, stuffed camel in the corridor. Actually, honestly, we stopped at the bar for an aperitif. Leonard's positions itself as a seasoned bistro-style kitchen, satisfying the tastes of gastropub lovers for the enjoyment of aficionados of fine cuisine. Friendly hostesses, sympathetic and understanding sommelier, well-trained service. The not short menu: six appetizers, four salads, two soups, and meat, fish, poultry, pasta and risotto with options. So there is plenty to choose from, not forgetting by reading the second page that was at the beginning. My compliments that the menu includes Chef Suggestions, this without a shadow of doubt inspires confidence. I tasted pumpkin soup as an appetizer and as the main had The Absolut Tender (a beef fillet). The texture of the soup is tender, creamy, but completely light, really pouring into a spoon. The taste met all expectations. The steak deserves the nomination "must try," an exception may be for fans of steaks cooking temperatures of medium or higher or supporters of vegetarianism. This steak temperature blue is amazingly soft and at the same time resilient and juicy. Three sauces accompany this masterpiece: mayonnaise with chili and garlic, bérnaisse and green pepper, the last one with large seeds and a smooth but not liquid texture subtly emphasizes the taste of the meat. For some reason, the waiter served steak by cups with sauces toward to me, I had to turn a large sized plate to get to the cherished piece. In size, this steak is much larger than traditional fillets, so if you plan to pamper the receptors, and also conscious then you need to go in for sports, and try a dessert, then plan dinner should be neat. Despite the desire to taste dessert, I just could not, so carried away by a delicious steak. The bar, located in combination with the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a varied cocktail list, but the classic Champagne Cocktail had an excess of sugar taste. While I did not stay at the hotel Le Grand Bellevue but quite accurately Leonard's one of the two best restaurants in Gstaad.
