A magnificent place in the middle of nature among Highland cows. Restaurant with a very nice menu for all tastes. Excellent service with always a smile. Well stocked and well presented plates. The craft beers are excellent. Everything is perfect. We will come back without hesitation as the place is so magical. STILL MAGIC.

Wonderful restaurant in the Jura mountains, just above the town of L'Abbaye. Great atmosphere with an exuberant kitchen. I recommend.

The views were wonderful and we had a nice lovely meal of grilled meats with salad and fries, with some of their pies for dessert. It was satisfactory. I give four stars in that this restaurant was hyped by the older reviews and my companion - the restaurant changed management since last year and from what I understand the selection is less than what it was and that it used to be much impressive.

Update: Visited it again in July 2022 and it is not the same place any more. Everything has changed. Different menu and not that good unfortunately. Lovely place. Very child friendly. Amazing food and friendly stuff. Highly recommend!

Very good and good fresh food and beautiful place

Very pleasant place and very satisfactory quality of dishes. Far too long a wait to get our dishes, almost two hours and the team may not be trained enough to manage customer impatience. We know the problems in recruiting staff and managing the shootings but the establishment must be able to cope without there being too much impact on the service.

What a pity. I reserve a table on the terrace and in the shade by email. They confirmed to me a day later that it was all good. When I got there, I was told that it would finally be inside because the terrace was already full... As it was the boss who took care of confirming my reservation, I asked the waitress (his wife) to tell him tell him to come to my table so that I can express my disappointment to him in person. In the end, he won't even bother to come to my table... We will have seen better in terms of customer experience...

Friendly staff, good menu with alpine dishes, idyllic location between lake and mountains

Several people at the service so as not to come and take orders for 25 minutes and without crowds. We had to elbow our way to finally take an order. There were wooden chairs in pairs on the lawn which seemed nice to us but it was not possible to go there since the plates of previous customers remained there during the entire time we were there to consume. Damage..

Everything has changed, the menu requiring two to eat certain dishes, the choice of dishes less, the number of places much more limited therefore immediately full, the service, we waited 1h15 before being served. In addition, certain dishes were no longer available at the time of ordering. Too bad.

Too bad, no longer the real alpine menu, no raclette, no cheese crust, the oven dishes a bit greasy, but the artisanal ice creams are good, and be careful to check the bill because the tables are mixed and not the bill just

What a cool buffet in the middle of no were. But if you don't visit, it's your own fault, because you're really missing out on something. The food is delicious. We had beef on the charcoal grill. We've never seen this type of grill before, but it's great. The desserts and especially the homemade cakes are highly recommended. We had the tarte du vin and it was truly outstanding. The staff is also extremely nice and helpful in responding to special requests. What more could you want as a guest? We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful setting, but for my part the experience ends there. Not a very warm welcome, we waited more than 20 minutes before seeing someone to order drinks even though neither the interior of the restaurant nor the terrace were full. 1 hour after our arrival having only received the drinks, we decided to leave. The boss apologized and offered us the 2 sodas, a nice gesture but one that still doesn't make you want to come back. Damage.

Nice welcome, we ate very well, Les Classiques, unmissable and delicious dishes. A magnificent walk from the Pont-PetraFelix-Les Croisettes-L'Abbaye and return to the Pont by the lakeside ❤️.

A great dinner served by the chef himself. The refreshment bar is full of charm and very well managed by a smiling and professional owner. I would come back from Valais just to eat their delicious meat. See you soon !

New owner for a month, well done, there are still details to improve but it was great. Disappointed compared to what we experienced in other years. Service not great, small portions, less choice. Fortunately the highlands are still there, they...

Unfortunately, change of owners. The quality is no longer there and it’s a real shame for such a magical place. (fondue served cold, disappointing burger, bottle of water cost 8 francs).

We had a wonderful 2 years at this restaurant. We went there this evening. And surprise, the restaurant has changed ownership. We were in heaven with the elders. We were disappointed in many points. The welcome was pleasant, we had a very pleasant and friendly waitress. That's not the problem. The menu has changed a lot and our daughter's favorite dish is no longer there at all and that's a shame (dough gratin). We took the burgers as a result, the taste wasn't there and the quantity before that left with the former owners. Our evening was summed up by one word: shame. We are not going back there anymore.

Historically a nice place, but: portion of stingy planchette for 22.-, no carafe of water but cheap PET bottle sold for 8.-, excellent meat but expensive 48.- for 200g, insufficient side dishes, extra potatoes for 5 .- … in short, enough other refreshments in the region.

Indeed when our meal arrived it was absolutely delicious, but....10 minutes to be greeted, then 20 minutes to order and then 45 minutes for it to arrive...it was too long (especially since the restaurant It wasn't full and we ordered a charcoal which is cooked at the table). Damage!

Please note change of ownership. A lot of things have changed and the quality is no longer there. The flavors known before are no longer as tasty, the menu is restricted and limiting (it is no longer possible to have a fondue for one person for example).

The setting is magnificent and the welcome warm! Highland burgers are great. And the absolutely delicious jasmine blossom green tea.

It's wonderful to arrive here after a long hike. Card excellent! Delicious burgers, appetizingly served. Tartar and dessert also wonderful... Cozy and typical of the area. Absolute recommendation!

Very nice restaurant which has the advantage of offering dishes other than those known in alpine chalets. We went there as a family on a Sunday around 2 p.m. on the advice of an employee, a bit of a wait to be seated but once at the table we were still treated to a smile from the waitress despite her stress. Delicious Highland meat, generous portions. I advise !

Perhaps this is the best alpine refreshment bar in Switzerland! Where to start ? The grandiose and soothing place. It is good to take a walk or do a little walking for the more sporty. Simply enjoying the rest of the place is also possible. There is plenty to do. Large play park for children. Early risers will find breakfast at the refreshment bar! The menu is extremely extensive and the dishes are local, quality and presented with finesse and delicacy. Everything is taken care of! The only problem if you have to find one is that you want everything and your stomach is too small to taste it all. You have to come back regularly!! The service is ultra friendly and welcoming! And finally, the beautiful highlands watch over you throughout the climb to the mountain pasture. It’s an idyllic place! Tourists? Here is some of the best in Switzerland (you won't find a watch there but time stands still ;-)) Swiss? I don't need to tell you that what we prefer is there! The place is superb, full of alpine history, the staff is smiling, efficient, very helpful and gives good advice. The cuisine is a delight, from meat specialties to vegetables and desserts. Everything is seasonal, with artisanal products from the country, for very reasonable prices! Not to miss !

Very nice place in the middle of the mountain pastures. The welcome is good and warm, we see that the waitresses do their job with pleasure. Their specialty, Highland meat, is simply excellent! We find a very interesting menu and the products are of very good quality. Rarely have I found a restaurant that highlights alpine cuisine so well with its original products like this one. Prices are correct. I will definitely come back. It is strongly recommended to book in advance, given the crowds.

The meat was good but the sauces very average. Very expensive meal for 4. Insisting staff. The previous time there had been a lot of waiting. Disappointed with this second experience.

Very nice, just was a little disappointed with the double cream, I know that the refreshment bar is in Vaud and not Friborg but I expected to have a double cream at least as fatty as the double cream from Migros (which contains the minimum of mg to be able to be called double crème de gruyere) but in taste it was barely fatter than whole cream
