It can be reached on foot from Lenzburg train station in 12 - 15 minutes and there is enough parking space for cars. The ambience made a clean impression and was decorated seasonally, i.e. for Christmas. The kitchen, however, was a bit disappointing. Anyone who orders a Cordon Bleu “Vampir” WANTS and LOVES garlic. But there was definitely no one in there. This was even confirmed by my companion, who is at loggerheads with Knobli. She didn't notice anyone either. The innkeeper's somewhat snarky answer was that a paste would be used for this, which obviously didn't always have the same intensity. Dear host. Anyone who praises their garlic CB's as a "vampire" and has some professional pride does NOT add purchased pseudo-paste, but 1-2 crushed and fresh cloves. 1. Stronger, 2. Fresher, 3. Cheaper AND fourth, you can adjust the intensity yourself. It's also a shame that the landlord couldn't even say "SORRY" because of all the excuses. That would have been the minimum for two guests who left CHF 170 with an aperitif, wine, salad and dessert.
