L'Olivo Food & Wine in Lugano

Nice location, great service and delicious food

Food was good, but a lot of other things are not. Prices are very high. Main dishes are between 40 and 98 CHF, contorni around 10 CHF, antipasti and primi around 30 CHF. That’s quite close to Michelin star level, but neither food nor service is that good. The service is slow, the service staff cannot properly handle the few tables that were occupied when we visited. There was live music on the evening we visited, which was too loud, disturbing conversation at the table.

Our dining experience at Olivo Food & Wine in Lugano was nothing short of exceptional, despite the rainy weather and the semi-empty restaurant. Interesting discovery in the heart of Lugano. Two of us tried the breaded veal cutlet (the Milanese on the bone). Almost as big as a family pizza, it's really big and excellent. It should definitely be divided into 3 people, 2 of us really struggled. The final lemon sorbets were truly a panacea for digestion... as well as being excellently made. The staff are really friendly and helpful and helpful with choices and advice. I will definitely go back

Invited to dinner, bright room with large windows in the school and office area, ideal for lunch and evenings in company with a very welcoming internal room, cloakroom and half toilet, lots of green decorations on the ceiling with beautiful chandeliers, lots of light already outside, large selection of wines, counter bar with jars of colorful sweets for adults and children, and on this occasion with live music, catchy volume, good appetizers, excellent risotto with the three colors of Italy then those who eat meat or fish (Seabass square) small portion to be able to also enjoy a dessert such as Christmas-themed panettone with vanilla cream or mascarpone, something that surprised me and which enhanced the decoration on the tables, the large green jugs with sparkling and still water available. I will have to go back in private... c 'It's also a parking space around the corner of the house in case you can't find anything nearby... to conclude it was a nice evening, thanks to Giò

Tried it for a business dinner which went very well. Very good advice on the initial bubbles. Excellent dishes (beef tartare, risotto awarded at the Locarno festival, Milanese cutlet, gnocchi) Friendly and helpful staff, especially Dario and Karim. Compliments.

Excellent experience.. amazing food, excellent service. The chef's homemade tagliatelle was delicious. The turbot cooked to perfection. Very nice environment, relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely come back to try the silver-winning risotto in the Ticino Championship!

A gem 10 minutes walk from the centre! Delicious food and wonderful location... without forgetting the impeccable, friendly and very kind service. Super recommended even if you go with children, they will be able to find the perfect place inside the room so as not to disturb the other guests and give you the space you need. Full 5 stars and can't wait to return. Note of thanks to the very kind Karim who served us, it's nice to still find waiters who love their job and make you feel at home.

I went to this delicious restaurant with a friend recently. 5 stars more than deserved on several factors. The design choices are extremely interesting, particularly in the Ticino area, the environment is sophisticated and welcoming at the same time. Hints of art deco mix naturally with modernity and Mediterranean style. The menu is very varied and well conceived to say the least; the dishes we tasted were really appreciated! The icing on the cake (coincidentally) is the desserts, which are unmissable. The staff is also 5 star, very knowledgeable and very kind, our waiter in particular made the evening even more pleasant. I will definitely be back! Compliments!

We went for Valentine's Day dinner, with a special fixed menu and live music. The dinner was exquisite. Delicious flavors and well presented dishes. The location is well looked after and refined but informal. And our waitress was friendly and efficient.
