so I wanted to give a bad review for the service but after a few minutes I received a plate of delicious pizzas and courgette flowers and a second bowl of chips... so nice place 😅

Last night we wanted to eat a little something before the show but neither the menu at the restaurant (luini6) nor its environment are inviting. We went to the bar on the first floor (bistro luini6) for two glasses of wine and a stuffed focaccia (practically only this was left to eat) which we had to eat standing on a high table covered with a not very cheap synthetic black fabric tablecloth. pleasant. This is because the free tables were cluttered with the remains of previous customers, there is no staff to clear or clean the tables despite the large number of new customers queuing at the cash register for a glass or a snack. We looked for the pinsa indicated on the bistro card but not even a trace. A real shame such a poor service is absolutely not up to the excellence of the LAC and its programming. Next time we will stop elsewhere to have dinner before going to the show unless there is a change which we hope for in the management of these refreshment points but we have serious doubts that the managers take into consideration the customers' warnings given that it is not the first review of this type and in any case the third time out of three that we go and experience the same thing. What is a pity...

Friday evening at 7.50pm there is nothing left to eat (I am referring to the mezzanine snack bar)

I'm not discussing the prices, a Rosé is 10 Fr and a water is 4 Fr. We are in the center and that's fine. But what a service, A small bowl of chips as an aperitif. After discreetly seeking the interest of the employees (2 x 6 customers) for 10 minutes I gave up on ordering a second glass. To pay you have to go to the cashier, no one comes to the table. Not for anything else but 10 Fr a Rosé and this service should justify the price. Not even. Thank you.

I spend afternoon coffee in the summer and hot mint tea in the winter. Marvelous place for spending some moment after lunch or before dinner. The lake view and people passing by make me busy enough while waiting the service 😎

Staff not very attentive, we had to call the waiter back after 20 minutes because our order did not arrive and other customers were not served or not. The order arrived and they left. A little more kindness and apologizing wouldn't hurt and at the checkout show a little smile.

Worst service ever. Told us to wait at tables and nobody came for 20 minutes. Others skipped the line and ordered at the counter no problem. Very hypocritical maybe it was because we spoke English at first. Too bad, we would’ve tipped the struggling waiters big.

Sad evening from every point of view. It's sad when a restaurant puts on airs of grandeur but then has little or no substance. We arrived early (6.30pm) because afterwards we had a concert in the room next to the restaurant. When we sat down there were very few people and despite this everything went wrong. We waited twenty minutes before a waiter appeared, and we immediately ordered an aperitif. We were brought some bread (homemade and ya ya ya) but no drinks. Not even water. After an incredibly long time we managed with difficulty to attract the attention of the waiter who noticed (with a wink... very professional) that we still had no drink. Nothing, the computer system, apparently essential to bring us 2 campari sodas and a crodino) didn't work and so we had to order again. In the meantime we order food, 3 tartares and an octopus salad, cold and very simple dishes, specifically to speed up the process, since we had understood that speed was not their strong point. Time passes, and passes, and passes, and not even a sign of the aperitif. The waiter returns and assures us that it will arrive within "a few seconds". No way. The dishes arrive but no aperitif, and no water. They don't clear the ashtray, they don't remove my mother's dirty glass who, having arrived first, was lucky enough to get something to drink while she waited for us. Then finally, when we already had food to eat, they brought us the campari, which we obviously had lost our appetite for. I don't know who drinks Campari while eating. We are not asked if we want maybe some wine or something else instead, nothing. We're not complaining; we look at the plate and the tartare was a truly RIDICULOUS amount for 30 francs. I pay 40 francs for a good tartare in such a beautiful place and by the lake, but damn, it was a skimpy appetizer portion. Snack. It seemed like a joke also because the vaunted parmesan sablés that were supposed to adorn such a dish were only present in one of the three tartares and they were two microscopic biscuits. But truly microscopic. We gave them to my mother and made do without them. We understand that complaining would only have prolonged the agony for which we give up, but we immediately ask for more bread because we only had ONE slice of toast each (ONE, cut in two, okay, but one was and one remained). Obviously the bread doesn't arrive and we eat the meat without anything. There wasn't a lettuce leaf, a sprig of parsley, NOTHING. At a certain point when we have finished the bread arrives, we send it back, we had finished for at least 10 minutes or more. The same embarrassing dance is repeated with dessert, everyone swearing that within "a few seconds" they will bring us the cards to choose, and they don't arrive, we point out that we were in a hurry, nothing changes. In the end we have to gobble down the dessert (necessary at this point to have something in the stomach since the main course was homeopathic) and run to the concert, which luckily was very nice. An hour and a half of pure embarrassment with an embarrassingly high bill. The really sad thing is that the tartare and the dessert were also good, so it could have even been a nice experience (maybe a little more generous portions...), but everything was ruined by the pretentiousness and ineffectiveness of the service . The beautiful view and the designer furniture and the designer uniforms for the waiters are not enough... you have to hire more staff and perhaps even more qualified ones, I'm sorry to say it, but it's not enough to offer us a coffee when we are already standing and don't have the time to drink it because you made us suffer 90 minutes of agony to bring us three skimpy things, moreover in the wrong order. I'm sorry but I only give one star because it is a very beautiful place. The rest sadness.

20 minutes waiting - the staff just ignored us- lame!

The dishes are well executed, but very expensive, in proportion (after all, this is a common problem in Switzerland). We had a rice and spelled salad with salmon and a sort of couscous with chicken, both good. The wait was really too long. Friendly staff but busy running between the tables in an attempt to compensate for the delay in arriving the dishes.

Located in an excellent location, Luini 6 Bistrot is the perfect choice for lunches and aperitifs. The refined atmosphere also makes it suitable for work occasions.

Beautiful location, excellent service

Located right on the lakefront at the LAC Lugano arts centre, this is a gem of a restaurant and bar. Very generous aperitivo portions if you come for a drink before the concert and lots of people walking opportunities. Great place to spend an afternoon before the performance or just like that.

While the waiter was great the food was an absolute joke. The menu sounds fancy but it is way over priced. The portions are small and the bowls aren’t actual bowls. I mean CHF 20 for the vegetarian bowl, I wish I had taken a picture it was a complete joke. Not satisfied at all we would not return.

I was in this bistro for the first time, very kind guys! I had a cappuccino, to say it was good is an understatement! OPTIMAL! It's been years since I drank a beautifully made cappuccino, and unlike what I expected, the price was cheap, comparing it to many bars in the city centre, where just by placing your lips on it you get burned and you also pay dearly for it! I will return 100%
