LUX Restaurant & Pizzeria in Emmen

The food and the ambience deserve the top rating, unfortunately the service is lacking. The staff is very friendly, no question, but we had to wait a long time for the staff. Starting with the fact that 2 people arrived later (10') and therefore had to wait a long time for the drink order, for which we even had to ask because it easily took 15' until we received it. The food came relatively evenly and quickly, only the flambis had to wait longer (which wasn't a problem). But after that we waited a long time for the dessert & coffee and then we got it, but coffee was still missing after a long wait. That's why we said they shouldn't bring it anymore because it was already very late. It's a shame, otherwise it would have been great service, because the staff are certainly very friendly, but I think there's just one too few ;) although the focus was often on the tables that needed to be cleared or the large group of 20...

The food was very delicious, especially the Pizza. Sadly the pasta portion was quite small. On the plus side it is to mention that they were open to individual requests (i.e dressing on the side or extra pesto on the pizza) Overall a very nice restaurant that I recommend ☺️

It was a culinary experience that can only be recommended. In fact, it is a pizza that you must try when you visit this place. I highly recommend this place. From the atmosphere to the service to the food - everything was excellent. It's a place to visit if you're looking for good food and a great atmosphere. Pizza and ambience are very good

We used to be regular customers. And we looked forward to ringing in the weekend there almost every Friday evening. The waitress already knew we were ordering, everything was very relaxed and professional. But what we experienced on our last VISIT about 2 weeks ago was a nightmare. The staff is totally overwhelmed. Wrong order, cold pizza, long waiting times. The pizza tasted burnt after it was warmed up. No response due to incorrect order. My wife ordered a small pizza and got a large one. Then she had to pay for the large pizza. Just bad. Sorry, that's it for our local pub. What's wrong with you? Too bad…

The food is good but very expensive, the accommodation is ok but without heat 😞 We will visit Zurich again, but we will definitely think twice about Lucerne. Plus for the parking space.

Looking for a hotel on the way at short notice. This one had their own restaurant which I thought was pretty good. Ordered a pizza that was very tasty. The reason why one star is missing is the above-average price of around €20 for the pizza

On June 26th, 22nd I visited this restaurant with my business partner at 2 p.m. in the afternoon for a small meeting for two. We reserved a table especially for this. At first the meeting went well, during which we consumed several drinks and 3 dishes in a nice atmosphere, until suddenly and completely unexpectedly the manager of the restaurant stormed up to us and attacked us in a very loud, harsh tone because it bothered him. that we had opened our two laptops. He insulted us and said we had no decency. When I replied to the manager that this was a business hotel (restaurant), where this was a common sight, we even asked in advance whether this was okay and specifically asked for a table for it reserved. We, along with one other guest, were the only customers inside the restaurant. All tables were empty and we were still considered a nuisance to other guests. Later a few more guests arrived, all of whom took a seat on the terrace. The manager further exposed us in front of all the guests. We were yelled at and treated like trash. We then paid and left the restaurant. I have never experienced anything like it! I will definitely not enter this restaurant again in the future with my business partner and customers. The manager really has ZERO DECEPTION! I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE!

The ambience and service are very good! The menu offers a lot of variation. The food was decent, but didn't blow us away. For example, the LUX burger is a bit dry.

Super tasty spare ribs. The meat falls away from the bone very easily. The marinade is perfect. Just a mega portion with fries. So to recommend.

Good hotel, very friendly staff, the rooms are very clean, cleaned daily and big enough. However, you can tell that it's been around for a few years now, I personally don't find the carpet to be entirely hygienic and it smells a bit, especially in the bathroom there's a little storage space... All in all, definitely recommended... .

It was supper in the Landhus or in the Lux. Ambience Gastronomi Service Service and food were supper. Only one complaint: the knives are a disaster. The food is supper but cutting meat is not possible.

Good atmosphere, unfortunately the boss isn't exactly the friendliest person there is. I had to use the parking lot for an appointment, but this was not possible because the boss sent me away in an unfriendly manner. Restaurant, kitchen would be very tasty, it's a shame that friendliness isn't a top priority.

Very unfriendly manager. On Monday - the restaurant was closed - I wanted to briefly use the hotel parking lot because I had to go to a customer who lives right next door. I didn't take the parking space away from anyone, but I was rudely asked by the owner or manager to leave the parking lot immediately because I wasn't/am not a hotel or restaurant guest. That's why I recommend everyone to take their consumption in another restaurant/hotel. Luckily there are plenty of other restaurants/hotels around the Lux.

What an impudence, my wife absolutely had to go to the toilet but they asked us to go out because we didn't look like paying customers. What an impudence the manager was still very rude and didn't want to let us in. You should think about where to eat

Die Begrüssung vom Chef Fadil war überaus herzlich und wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen. An einem schönen Tisch mit genügend Abstand zu den anderen Tischen liessen wir uns kulinarisch verwöhnen. Cordonbleu, Pizza und zweierlei Wild waren ausgezeichnet, die liebe Bedienung und auch die Betreuung vom Chef hat uns wieder einmal mehr überzeugt und wir werden sehr bald wieder ins Lux Essen gehen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The "Lux Gordon-Bleu" with herb butter crust was very good, you should try it. The pizza is also highly recommended. It's a shame that the current owners are quitting at the end of the month. I hope that the successor will continue to have Gordon Bleu on the menu and that it will taste as good as it does now.

The chairs are very comfortable and I find the distance between the seats to be extremely decent. There you certainly don't get the feeling of eating like cucumbers in a can.
