Lycka Coffeebar in Meilen

Great spot for a lunch, coffee or mid day snack in Meilen. I love the automated table ordering and payment system. So efficient! I had the brunch burger (shown here) which was a hamburger with and egg and lots of other toppings. Very tasty! Also a fantastic terrace for having a coffee or glass of champagne in the nicer weather. Check it out!

Waiting 25 minutes in the block (4 people in front of us…) for a not very good cappuccino, lukewarm instead of hot chocolate. Service is very inefficient, only 1 person serves despite 8 in line..

One of the best coffee bars in Meilen and surroundings. We really enjoy the atmosphere here and the good food. Big thumbs up for the staff for making this place such a wonderful location to enjoy a drink and a good variety of raw vegan cakes. It's our favorite place to meet with friends and we always have good times here. One of the very few coffee bars open on Sundays. Thanks Lycka Team 😘

I love this place! BUT: most customer's (especially the ones on the weekend) are absolutely terrible!!! Rude to Staff members or they bring along their children which make this place like a kindergarden. Most people HATE especially people like you as a Cafe is a place to go to talk to each other or to have good coffee/food and to enjoy some freedom. Either stay at home with your children / kids or teach them some manners. You are not the only one who want to enjoy this place.

Great avocado toast and a super option for breakfast, lunch or weekend brunch. There is not really a view but a very cosy inside place, with the outside space being in the sun and nice and warm. Great orange juice... A place to hang out and enjoy the moment with an option for kids to play at the close by playground.

I think it's good that the mueslis are now not only available in plastic dishes. That always bothered me a lot.

Despite some glamor and stylish flair, you don't have to put this café on the Gold Coast's chic list. Because even as a normal person you feel comfortable here and are able to pay the bill. According to information, all of the fine pastries are made in-house. You notice that. 👍 You have to waive a condition here. 👎

Cute, pleasantly decorated cafe-bar, with many international visitors. Their hot chocolate is very chocolate-y and not too sweet. Very good. A good amount of vegan and even gluten free dessert options. The staff are friendly and speak English fluently.

Service is great ! After paying and receiving my drink I realised I had Accidentally forgotten to tell them to make my iced coffee vegan, and the lovely barista made me a new one, without charge, and I hadn’t even tipped her or anything! Also it was deliciousness 🤤🤤🤤🤤

I had a lovely flammkuchen, which was a little like a pizza in toppings, but with the typical flammkuchen dough. It was very good. We arrived around 19.00, and although the kitchen is open until 20.00, the burgers and grilled sandwiches were already off the menu. I would have liked to try the sweets, they looked really good. Location is nice, on a modern square close to the train station.

I ordered a Campari soda with lots of ice. I got Campari with ice and warm tap water. Loveless, tasteless and warm. There is still a lot that can be improved.

There are misunderstandings, but if the boss acts disrespectfully towards a customer, doesn't pay attention, doesn't pay attention to them, then yes, then I have a question mark.

Great food choices for a casual lunch! We got the flatbread and pasta of the day and both were excellent! Their coffee is less spectacular though.

Unfriendly staff, pretty steep prices and all the seating was totally dirty. How could you let your inventory go to such disrepair! In addition, the self-service concept at this location is questionable. Definitely not going to be my favorite place. We just had a drink.

I really like the food, service and atmosphere. Thank you very much for working on Sunday, sometimes it helps a lot. And the coffee here is the most delicious in the entire German part of Switzerland. Carrot cake is delicious, with the right spices)

The food (brunch) was very good. Unfortunately, I had to eat alone even though there were eight of us. We all stood together in line (for ages) and I was the first to order. I sat down and my food arrived before the last of our group had ordered. So we ate staggered meals, which was a shame. The desire for a second coffee disappeared when I looked at the still very long queue. It would be better to chat a bit with my friends than to stand in line for another eternity. It would be so much more comfortable if you could order at the table and not have to wait in line forever. It's a shame, because the food/selection is really great.

Great coffee bar with a great offer. I especially appreciate the vegan alternatives. But what is unfortunately really not possible is the endless waiting times in the queue (self-service). I would find waiting at the table much more pleasant than between the door and the counter.

The best! So glad for this yummy, friendly local cafe. Quick, uncomplicated service and delicious coffee, salads, flammkuchen, etc. Also great for pick up!

An all weather café, which is easy going and can be enjoyed no matter the weather (if you can find the space when crowded); otherwise I really enjoy the large terrace when the weather is sunny and simply for a nice relaxing early evening tipple. The Flammküchen are great and service is uncomplicated. A close 5*, but that's because I'm just a bit difficult.

Their carrot cake is to die for and their cafe is good as well. I really enjoy coming here once in a while.

I was at Sunday brunch. The atmosphere of this place is great, the service is also quite nice. On the other hand, the "classic breakfast" for 35 CHF did not knock me to my knees: two fried eggs, two slices of bacon, baked potatoes, toast and a microscopic lettuce salad... Definitely overpriced.

Cafe Lycka is a cafe with good culinary offerings in Spirit of Sweden. What we like most about Lycka is the kid-friendly attitude. The Lycka is located in the center of Meilen and has a beautiful view. Enjoy

Nice atmosphere and staff! The coffee (americano) could be improved slightly as it was a bit watery. The vegan burger was good but the bread was the same as for the croissant so it didn't fit. The absolute best was probably the vegan croissant! Will return

Small, cute café in the town center. Stylishly furnished, a sun-drenched terrace and delicious breakfast/brunch snacks such as tarte flambée, salad bowls, sandwiches, etc. Oh yes, “Lycka” is Swedish and means “joy” or “happiness”.

Very good cakes 🍰 very good coffee, nice staff, good food also vegan, gluten-free, caffeine-free and classic music outside too 😎 Highly recommended if you want to eat or brunch in Meilen.

Great place for a drink on a weekend, be good if there was a second place to pay as you often have to wait to order for quite a long time. Will definitely come again!

Ordered their "Pfannkuchen" here a couple of times and really liked it. The layout hasn't changed since "Gluck" but the business and the service is different. Very pleasant service and food is good. I have gone back a couple of times. It is possible to order and take the food home as well. Their desert is good and they offer vegan dishes. posted 2 pictures of their desert options. Will post more pictures of their main courses next time.

Nice place, unfortunately totally overpriced. Anyone who comes to brunch hungry will leave hungry. 5 wedgies, a fried egg and 2 half pieces of bread for 28 CHF... well, an experience rich...

Lovely little place in Meilen. Good food, nice Swedish theme to the pastries. Lycka means Happiness in Swedish, and this is a happy place. However, one star deducted because the quality of the cappuccino is highly variable, depending on who serves you.

We were looking forward to a nice breakfast at the Lycra Coffee Bar. The staff was nice and tried hard. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding due to language barriers, which led to an incorrect order. The Swiss Combo Brunch with a latte macchiato for CHF 28.50, with two dry mini plaited pieces and a baked croissant that was still very doughy on the inside was disappointing. It's a shame, the terrace is great and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Good selection of brunch-style “menus”. Unfortunately, the staff is completely overwhelmed, even though there are enough employees.

Unfortunately, the founder, who carefully thought through and organized everything, is no longer there. Tina de Barro's spirit is missing from the Lycka. Unfortunately, bullying occurs everywhere and that's why the coffee unfortunately has a bitter aftertaste for me.

Great prices! but please leave the restaurant immediately at 9:59 p.m. with CHF 8 of beer in a plastic cup!

A cozy place that is a magnet for expats. Love the many different cultures you can feel in the cafe. The food is fantastic, especially the pizzas, and their desserts are a whole other level. Friendly staff. A great place to chill or get some work done.

A great and cozy coffee in the heart of Meilen! The food is delicious, prepared with a lot of love and the price-performance ratio is excellent. The ambience is beautiful inside and outside. The Lycka team is very personable, well-positioned and always friendly. Highly recommended. I always like to come.

A great café with great events. Always friendly, well-positioned and courteous employees. The huge outdoor area/terrace invites you to linger with friends and family. There is something for everyone on the menu. I can only recommend!!

Went here for a brunch one Sunday. It was quite crowded, but with the outside seating and not-yet-overloaded kitchen it seemed to work pretty well. I really enjoyed the avocado toast, and the croissants were of just right texture. The coffee was good, but nothing extraordinary.

The staff has no organisation whatsoever so the line is VERY long. You will not be served at the table, you have to order drinks and food at the bar. We ordered 2 glasses of red wine and it tasted disgusting. When we took the wine back, there was no apology. In the end, they served us some fresh unopened wine.

OMG!!! I've never been to Sweden and never had Swedish food but MY GOD these gys are divine!!! They even upgraded the Swiss food into something perfect. Super recommended. Loads of choice of salty and sweet and really good coffee. Actually extremely recommended!!!!

I've been to this restaurant several times. So my feedback is not just based on one visit. Way too expensive for a self-service restaurant. The service at the counter was very unfriendly. Unfortunately, no one understood German either.

Lycka is a very good café with delicious food and treats - what Meilen was needing! The Swedish pastries are wonderful (I particularly like their carrot cake). For a lighter dish, the halloumi avocado salad or the chèvre flamküchen is a must. For a bit more hearty, the burger. Their weekend brunches are also great, good selection of non-dairy milk substitute for the coffees! Needless to say, I’m a big fan ;)

Basically good. Miles needs such an offer. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience with queuing and waiting times. Why not served again? Waiting times at the table are much more pleasant than queuing in the sun for 15 - 20 minutes.

The carrot cake is worth at least one Michelin star!

Coffee okay, long waiting times. As a new customer you are hardly noticed. It's better to talk to friends instead of serving people. Well, there are certainly better things in miles. Recommended for guests who are easily satisfied.
