I asked beforehand whether you could pay by card here. The following payment options are listed on the “About page”: - Credit card - Debit card - NFC mobile payments This information was crucial for my decision because I prefer to pay digitally and rarely carry cash with me. Unfortunately, during actual use it turned out that card payments were not accepted online despite the clear information. This discrepancy between the information provided and reality caused significant inconvenience as I was forced to look for alternative payment methods, which took time and effort. This experience was particularly frustrating because I relied on the reliability and accuracy of the information on the Internet. This type of misinformation undermines trust in the bakery and raises questions about the timeliness and accuracy of the information provided. There was a sign in the bakery indicating cash payment, but I feel this should be better signposted. In the 21st century, one can expect a city to be able to pay with electronic means of payment. In the future, it would be desirable for the Brandenberger Bakery to accurately update the information about the accepted payment methods and ensure that customers are spared such inconveniences. It is crucial that the information provided is accurate and reliable to ensure user trust and satisfaction. In summary, my experience was disappointing, mainly because of the discrepancy between the advertised and actual payment options. I hope that measures will be taken to avoid such problems in the future and improve communication with users.

If you take a surcharge of 0.20 because you pay by card, it's my first and last time at this bakery. I've never seen anything like that in Switzerland. The croissants are overpriced. :)

Always cozy, super-fine cream slices, croissants (the hand-rolled ones), Sunday braids and more! And always very friendly service!

The baked goods are good, but I think the staff should inform them in advance that if they pay by card for less than 20.00, they will add something more (optionally...). When I asked them about it, they were outraged that I did the math Amount not correct. Not quite ok and it's a shame, this obviously affected the experience.

Traditional bakery, delicious products, especially the cream slices with boiled vanilla cream. The only cafe that serves a knife to cut cream without asking. Nice service, recommended.

If you want not just good but very good baked goods, shop here. Everything tastes fresh and really tasty.

I regularly shop at the Brandenburger bakery in Meilen and I am always impressed by the quality of the baked goods. The bakery team makes all the baked goods in-house and you can really taste that they are prepared with a lot of love and care. I appreciate the wide selection of baked goods the bakery offers. Whether I'm looking for fresh bread, croissants or cakes, I always find something that suits my taste. I would also like to particularly highlight the gluten-free options that the bakery offers. It's great that the bakery also thinks about people with special dietary needs. The staff in the bakery are also very friendly and attentive. They take the time to answer my questions and are always happy to advise me when I'm unsure about which baked goods I should buy. I appreciate her expertise and passion for baked goods. Overall, I can unreservedly recommend the Brandenburger bakery in Meilen. If you are looking for fresh and high-quality baked goods, then the Brandenburger bakery is the perfect choice. The best in Switzerland, by far! The butter plait is second to none, perfectly baked and aromatic. The best thing about the whole business is that they actually bake here, not baked goods like they have become the sad norm. Real craftsmanship! All products are first class Service also at least 6 out of 5 stars.

Very welcoming place as soon as you enter you can smell the typical smell of pastry shops and bakeries. There are also tables where you can have a coffee together with baked and pastry products.

Very nice products and ideal location in the middle of the village. Friendly staff. Customer requests are implemented well. Price/performance is reasonable for a bakery. I'd love to come by again.

Location very comfortable... But for a big breakfast just a few small slices of cheese on a small coffee cup on a second coffee cup 2 small pieces of jam small butter.... Without meat, without eggs, nothing made with love.

What makes this bakery different to the one next to it is it’s careful preparation of dough. The Paillasse dough is prepared 24 hours before hand and whilst it doesn’t give it a large difference, the softness and flavor of the bread is definitely better I use this bread mostly to make a good brunch or an avocado toast

This place exists for as long as I can remember and is super cozy and friendly. The quality is ok but the prices are higher than what I would expect for what you get. For what it‘s worth, they also create and deliver custom cakes, for example for birthdays and weddings.

Friendly, attentive staff; it still smells (positively!) like a bakery; the Monsterli with pastry and chocolate sticks are almost too sweet to eat; and generally simple - just like the Fährekafi Meilen - feel-good quotient 10 out of 10. Always happy.

My colleague and I often had brunch there. The food is great and the employees are very friendly. In terms of price, it's too expensive for what you get. Nevertheless, it is a nice place to meet a colleague, friend or family member. Young people aged 18-25 will feel "extremely" young in this store because it is mostly filled with a lot of older people, which is not a problem but just side information. Have fun and enjoy your meal :)

Beautiful, cool terrace by the village stream. Small menu for lunch. Unfortunately, waiting times are somewhat long and the menu is usually not gluten-free. Therefore only 3 stars.

The service is friendly and quick. The terrace is very nice and cool in summer. For me the best place for a coffee, near the train station.

I really enjoy going to the Brandenberger bakery, whether in Meilen, Männedorf or Uetikon am See. The quality of the homemade goods speaks for itself and the café in Meilen has an extraordinary charm.

Small bakery with nice atmosphere and cosy seating arrangement. Choice is a bit limited and they only take cash payments. Coffee wasn't particularly good (watered down), maybe I was unlucky! Does not have parking but there are many parking options on the street.

The finest baked goods from Dorfbeck - the cafe is also recommended! Extremely warm service.

Sweet little bakery with small coffee. In addition to sweets and baked goods from the in-house bakery, breakfast is also served. The staff is very attentive and accommodating.
