I was staring at my phone and drinking my tea in stress to make sure I left on time, it was really unpleasant.

The team often jokes and chats at the back of the store or wastes time unnecessarily out of sight while they are seen, always pretending to be doing something, while the tasks being handled can wait until times of low traffic, such as moving objects, wiping the counter, drying a glass and meanwhile letting a whole long queue of customers build up in the store and not being very sorry for having caused this long queue of waiting customers to be served, very poor management of priorities, lack of dynamism and responsiveness at checkout and service. Today, I waited 10 minutes for a coffee when there was no one in front of me, because they always find a way to drag their feet and go at their own pace, a pace that they have decided, so that everyone complains that they are slow and when you make a comment to them they look at you as if it was you who were not tolerant enough, even though you have been patient time and time again and let them hang around the feet. I've been going there regularly for coffee for 3 decades. The service is unfortunately very irregular. Both in terms of reception, the server and the service. The homemade hot chocolate is too rich, difficult to finish the cup. The pastries and canapes are good, but the quiches are not worth Chf 7.50. For Christmas, I ordered a Vacherin, strawberry vanilla. No taste of vanilla, the strawberry was in small quantity but the majority was the cream. Very average. Value for money, very average.

In any case, competition “Mr & Mrs Renou-Patisserie”, they were able to take my small order of CHF 108.- with a smile as a bonus.
